gave her, then she decided to follow him to were he was going and padding out of the
den. hoping to surprise him with the news about the kits, then she padded to her

She followed Gorsestar to the loner, her eyes holding a feisty fire in them. If Sweetbriar hated this cat, then there was a good reason for Dawnpaw to hate her too. How could Sweetbriar hate anybody!? She is so sweet!

The large male groggily stood up, his nap interrupted by a newcomer. "Hmm?" He blinked. This loner looked like Sweetbriar! He walked up along side Nightface, his pawsteps not even audible due to his soft paws, which his family was well known for. "What's going on?" He asked suddenly.

Litchpaw lays sound asleep hidden in the peek of the oak that stoodntall in there camp, it was her little get away spot, yes technically she wasnt suppose to be up there but in her eyes she was not doing wrong at all. The tired shecat opened her eyes only moments later. Lookingg througj the branches and leaves she looked down at her clanmstes with a bored expression, her deep emeraled gaze almost glowing in the dim light that came through through the branches. Her mentor was asleep so there was no reason for her to be up and practicing.


Ghostwhisper sat by the lake, a place no cat reslly dared to stray by for to long. He sat there gazing into the water longingly, a cold yet sad expression layed in the toms icy blue eyes. His ears perked when movement caught his eyes in the water. is that fish? he wondered searching for what movment he saw just moments earlier. Then again he suddenlu saw the silver little fish seimming in a zig zag motion. While fish wasnt normally the clans prey of choice Ghostwhisper wad wuite the fisher and enjoyed the salty little bite size fish now and then. Raiding his paws he waited for a persice moment to strike. And whenthe small group of fish came to strikig distence ljke lightning his left paw struck the water and two little silver fish splashed out beside him. Picking up the fish Ghostwhisper turns around and walks away. Walking off not towards camp but another familiar area towards the edge of the clans territory.

Nightface couldn't help, but smile when Wildfire approached. He opened his mouth to speak, but Tigerfur had interrupted him, he stood their waiting in annoyance to hear whatever Tigerfur had to say. His heart sank at the words she said to him. His whole world seemed to be disappearing in front of him. "I. I have to go." He said while holding back tears and taking a step back before dashing away. He rushed to an area of the camp where he thought nobody would see him, but he was wrong there was one cat in the trees who could spot him. He put a paw over his muzzle as he let tears flow down his face.

echostream snapped out of her loving-ness with gorsestar as she heard the called from dawnpaw. she rushed out into the camp and saw, standing near the entrance of the camp, rosetail. she bristled, she had nothing but hatred for this she-cat. she had left her friend, sweetbriar alone. she watched as sweetbriar launched herself at the cat, she didn't do anything to stop her.

lionclaw looked at amberleaf, she seemed to be in pain. "are you alright, amberleaf? is your stomach upset?" he asked her. he then heard some commotion in the camp. "we should probably see what's happening," he said to her. he walked into the camp and saw a standing she-cat who was too familiar. "petal? is that you?" he asked in disbelief.

goldenpaw nodded, she had rested well. she was ready to learn. she smiled. "hunting is a lot better than fighting," she said in her soft, shy voice. she nodded. that was something she was good at, staying quiet. she nodded. "okay," she said to her mentor. her ears lifted as she heard arguing in the camp. "i wonder what's happening," she said quietly, under her breath.

patch is asleep.

rosetail was surprised to say the least the be tackled to the ground. she hardly had time to figure out who this cat was before she was pinned to the ground, letting out and oof as she was pressed into the dirt and her air was pressured from her lungs. she looked into the she-cat face and knew who it was. "sweetkit?" she asked in disbelief. she wouldn't strike her own daughter so she was relieved to be freed. she backed up, staring at the other she-cat. she then looked farther back and saw lionclaw.

stormpaw watched as sweetbriar jumped onto the loner and could see echostream bristling. if both of the kind she-cat had so much hatred maybe he should do the same. "she must be bad news if echostream and sweetbriar are both angry," he whispered to dawnpaw.

sharpfang wasn't a tree-climber so he didn't go out of collect flowers, vines or sap. he went out to get some moss and feathers for feathermist to put in her nest. he wasn't really into all of these assigned mateships but he guess that if he had to be in one he would make the best of it. he hesitated but made his way into the warrior's den. he gently sat down the moss and feathers by feathermist's nest. "feathermist?" he asked quietly, not really wanting to wake her but wanting to make sure she got her gift.

Sweetbriar glared at Gorsestar, raged surging through her ligaments like ice. She flexed her claws into the ground, aware of the wild look she had to her. To Rosetail she spat, "Never let my name leave your putrid maw again," She raked her claws across the orange and white she-cat's muzzle, noticing too soon that her mother was pregnant again. "You fox-heart! You couldn't raise me or my littermates, and now you've entranced some pathetic-" Her rant was cut short by Lionclaw, who had approached, his eyes wide with shock. He called her mother Petal and disbelief ran through, colder than leaf-bare. "Her name isn't Petal. And I'm appalled you allowed her to trick you into sharing love with her! You- you damned idiot! You've killed those kits inside her, and you've broken the code by taking this vixen-" She shot a look of venom at Rosetail, "-as your mate." The words spilled out of her mouth like a tsunami tide. She flashed a look of sympathy at Amberleaf. She could only hope that Lionclaw hadn't gotten another she-cat pregnant with his reckless actions. Sweetbriar could not believe that this was the same cat who had once professed his love to her.

Gorsestar gaped, his feathery banner swaying behind his hind quarters. He was unsure what to do, or how to stop the situation from escalating. Clearly, things were getting worse: Sweetbriar's hatred only grew the longer that Rosetail stayed. He cleared his throat, solemness in his gaze. He would have to ask Sweet's mother to leave- only, how could he? She was heavily pregnant, and swaying on her paws. He pivoted on his paws, suddenly overly protective of his mate Echostream, and gently wrapped his tassel around her chest. "Stay with me, Echostream." He murmured.

echostream watched as the three cats bickered fiercely. she didn't blame lionclaw, rosetail could be very persuasive. she shook her head and turned to gorsestar. "we can't allow her back, she is nothing but trouble," she said to him. "we cant blame lionclaw, he's just another victim of her lies no matter if he violated the code," she said to everyone.

lionclaw was enraged to say the least. his eyes glared into rosetail's. "so you've lied to me as well! good thing i decided that you weren't worth my time!" he said to her with a growl. "after echostream became my ex-mate i was going to run away with you and our whole relationship was build on your cruel lies," he growled. "im such an idiot, no one can believe anything that come out of your mouth scheming, rosetail," he said. his claws dug into the ground as his head whipped to sweetbriar. "am i the bad guy now?! she tricked me into loving her! if i had know i never would have fallen into her grasp. you don't understand how persuasive she is," he said. he turned to amberleaf, wanting to say something but instead, he whipped around and stormed off.
