Meridia let Flora lean on her and smiled and heard the faint crackling and popping sounds of plants growing and blooming around her and the scent of the lavender calmed her nerves. She looked back to Sting with a guilty look, "I am sorry for what I've done, I acted out of impulse and acted poorly." She said and when Razor dropped down next to Sting she didn't flinch and listened to what he said. "It indeed seems he has returned after such a long time, I received these news from a dragon who had heard it from on in the Chilled Woods, word travels fast." She said before her look turned a little stormy and she began getting lost in thought a little before focusing back on the dragons gathered around them. "I hope he doesn't return anytime soon, the number of deaths would be catastrophic. If he and Alduin were to team up..." She said as she began sinking back into thought and her eyes widened in horror and she gasped quietly. "If Alduin and Igneus were to join forces there will be incalculable losses." She said as she looked at them all, switching her gaze to each of her loyal friends with worry in her turquoise and gold eyes. When Flora said she needed to rest she let her go and smiled softly, "You've more than deserved it, get some sleep you need it, old friend." She said in a comforting tone as she nudged her neck and turned back to the guards and nodded, "A night patrol would be most helpful, and dragons of darker colors would blend in easily with the shadows and those who are well trained in stealth." She said and then turned back to her tree and then Razor and Sting. "I need rest as well, I've only been back into consciousness for about an hour a half and I am exhausted." She said as she dipped her head to her guards in respect and trudged back to her tree and weakly jumped and hooked her claws into the smooth bark and pulled herself onto the main platform of the tree. She walked to her quarters and poked her head into Flora's to check on her and see if she was doing alright her room was empty. She felt worry and she looked around went to the staircase that lead to the highest platform of the tree. It was her favorite place because she got to see a lot of her realm spread before her and she enjoyed the silence and often went there to clear her mind. She made it to the top and saw Flora, "May I join you?" She asked politely to her friend, wanting to know if she wanted to be alone of not.
hermaeus mora | male | 344 years | high assistant | chilled woods | tags: miraa, luxa
Hermaeus silently followed Mirra to the Nurse's den and he straightened his stance, "If Igneus has returned and Alduin as well, both kingdoms are at stake and with the attacks on both of us we are weak, and easy prey." He grumbled and continued walking gingerly, aware of his wounds and his poor condition. He was selfless and his needs came last compared to everyone else's and he would refuse any help when there were others that needed it, he looked Miraa over and felt anger when he saw her wounds. He listened to Luxa and tilted his head slightly in confusion until it hit him— Alduin had the gift of the Voice. His eyes widened and he growled softly at the thought, the Thu'um was immensely powerful if you possessed the ability to harness the true power of it. Very few had ever possessed such abilities— two dragons in fact, Alduin and an ancient dragon from long ago, Paarthurnax. Hermaeus felt himself grow numb at the thought of the destruction that can be created from just shouting three specific words and shuddered and looked at Miraa with an anxious look, he would hate for her to get hurt and himself for letting it happen. "You're correct, he should've died in battle, or from the wounds if he managed to get away. If Alduin is indeed alive we must act swiftly, we need to have more guards on duty patrolling the area and strengthen our defenses." He growled, his deep voice hard and full of anger, though it held a worried note for his Queen, and the clan she ruled over. He sat close to Miraa, not touching but close to keep guard over her and to show her comfort. He knew she was in immense pain and he wanted to help her in any way he could, he would even drain himself to nothing to help heal her with his weak magic. He took a deep breath, "Alduin's type of power is called the Thu'um and it is extremely lethal and treated with care. He is one of the only two dragons to ever possess such abilities and is the first in over ten thousand years and it is difficult to harness the raw energy of the Thu'um. He only has to say three words in a specific sequence and it can cause great damage, and one example of it is the shout called. "Dragon Rend." The shout forces you to land, no matter how hard you try to fight it it will control you and you will not be able to fly for some time until the spell wears off.
Some shouts have simple actions, such as "Unrelenting Force" that simple sends out a wave of raw energy that will knock you out of the sky or send you tumbling back a few yards." He said as he recited a small portion of the vast subject to the other dragons, giving them a simple summary of it, yet there was so much more information.
Alduin / male / age unknown / rogue / no clan / tags: igneus
Alduin sneered and was about to open his mouth to continue speaking when his face was barraged with flames. He let out a roar of pain and fury as his scales glowed red hot as it attempted to absorb as much of the fires heat as it could and he stumbled back and grunted when a pair of powerful legs kicked his belly. He got to his talons and hissed, his neck and face glowing red from the heat making him look demented as he watched the other male closely. The fire had burned him badly, but his scales were able to absorb some of the heat, but not all of it. He bared his teeth and barked a dry, humorless laugh, "You obviously weren't good enough to be so easily usurped, you are weak! Meridia is pretty weak, but if she can defeat you that makes you more pathetic." He sneered as he shifted his weight.
[ they can, and maybe Alduin would begrudgingly compliment Igneus on his abilities.
I am SOOOOO sorry I just disappeared!!! We don't have internet at home due to the prices of rent, power, water, and phone bills rising steeply and I can only reply at school. I have also been trying to work on school assignments and we already have a big test coming up and we've been in school for little over three weeks. I have been feeling ill over the last few days and feel like I have been hit by a semi truck and my head and body hurt from who knows what sickness. I will try to reply and post when I have any time I have online and I will post when I can. I am so sorry for letting you guys down and making you wait for so long! >_< ]

Just as he was about to go do another activity, the higher voice of a much smaller guard, addressed him and the other unconcerned female, giving orders in a commanding tone. He stopped in his tracks not bothering to look towards sting, he addressed the fellow guard a hint displeasure in his voice. "As you wish, I could see a mission like this coming from a mile away." He didn't enjoy being bossed around by someone of the same rank, though he understood Merida was the one who actually gave the orders, and it wasn't Sting's intention to annoy him.
