Arlind is a fantasy AU world.

I'm using it for a lot of things (adopt tryouts, short stories, etc.), so I'm making a little place to house all of the information. this will get a nice lil introductory bit later when I can think of something good, hopefully. for now, though you just have this little bland explanation.

|| Rendin: Rendin is the "super power" of the realm. it's the most highly developed of the countries, due largely to their rich natural resources and varied habitats. they control the rest of Arlind, though they are often found to be locked in a power struggle with their eastern neighbors, Vadok, who can never manage to win. all of the other countries trade with Rendin and they are undoubtedly the richest in the realm. they're the only country to have ever taken land from Cai and as such are not on the best terms with them. Rendin is also the only country to have a sort of peace with Zuj.

|| Vadok: Vadok is the only country that rivals Rendin's power. they could potentially be the realm's super power if there land wasn't made mostly of deserts and dry lands. they are dependent on Rendin and other countries for many of the foods that they eat and during severe droughts Vadok relies on them for water as well. despite this, Vadok is still a force to be reckoned with and they constantly challenge the power of the other countries.

|| Boore: Like Rendin, Boore has more varied habitats than most of the other nations. it has rich jungles, mountains, volcanoes and forests alike. the majority of their land is made up of grasslands that have both dry and wet seasons. they don't tend to be well-liked, as they are first to voice displeasure and last to lend a hand. Boore is mostly concerned with their own affairs and will refuse to help those they have alliances with, as they don't have much military power and are quite the selfish nation.

|| Nuei: Nuei and their territories look a bit like a tree, which is rather fitting since the country and their territories are made up mostly of tropical climates. there are a lot of rainforests and beaches on Nuei, making them a popular place for travelers. they are known to be hospitable, friendly people with a dislike of violence. Nuei has claimed all of the Border Isles and nearly all of these isles (as well as their other territories) are connected through a series of man-made ship passages and wooden walks.

|| Gly: Gly is a country with a very harsh environment. they have mountains, tundras and boreal forests and a lot of their civilizations live alongside the wild beasts. many of the towns and cities are sculpted out of the mountain sides or tucked away in thick forested areas. Gly doesn't get many foreign visitors, leaving them suspicious and crude towards those that do show themselves on their shores. despite their challenging environment and personalities, Gly is a very successful empire.

|| Cai: Cai is a group of large, forested isles abundant in many resources depending on the season. they are the second richest of the countries, as they mine many different riches (coal, rubies, diamonds, gold and silver). however, they have little to no interest in warring and will only fight in order to defend or regain their land. Cai has trees throughout their islands and their entire communities are in the trees, all linked together through boardwalks. like Nuei, they are even linked across islands. most of the realm see them as odd people with a propensity for dark magic, so they are largely left alone or treated kindly. they're currently feuding with Rendin over Fenti and Orae, which used to be part of their nation.

|| Zuj: Zuj is a group of mostly volcanic and wild isles tied together under several ruling families. they're known mostly for their success as explorers and fighters. they have territories all throughout the realm and they are quite adept at war, as most of these territories have been taken and kept through force. sailing, plundering and taking land seem to be what they are best at, but they are open to trading and negotiating when necessary. the only country that doesn't have a problem with them is Rendin; they are the only country that has not had any of their land taken by Zuj.
