I remember that this little puppy was on the button for the pound

I remember that too. =) And then everybody was like, "This puppy on the pound button should be an actual pet!" and then some had to explain to them that it was the coon tail. XD

It wasn't exactly that pet. The pound pup had a little frown on his face that made him look really miserable. I loved going to the pound knowing I'd rescue a sad animal like that. Ohmai, he was so cute. <3

I always felt sorry for the 2:nd gen dogs too. They where my favourites but they didn't appear to be worth anything at all. That has been forgotten now and I get lots of trades offering '08 2:nd gen dogs for '08 regular adoptables... I don't like to reject them because of that, but I couldn't accept it either. We where like knee-deep in 2:nd gens back the so I'm sure they are still really common compared to the regulars. :<

When I first joined, my favorite pet was the oh-so-common brown 2nd Gen with darker brown spots. Whenever I saw one in the pound I would always adopt it, even if there were better things to adopt.
The pound was always full of those 2nd Gens. They must have been the most common pets. I was so surprised when I returned to find them not to be so common anymore.
It's like I'm still in denial that it's no longer '09. :C

Bahaha, I remember the old Archive. I would get really annoyed because I wanted to figure what pets I was missing and the archive wouldn't be updated for the past couple months or so. xD

I remember when the wishlists didn't exist, and people would have to hand make wishlists. I remember spending hours trying to make a wishlist on MS Paint, but I gave up because it was way too much of a hassle.

I also remember when the 2nd Gens used to always be available and I was really lazy about adopting them all. And when the horses and cats were always available as well. Those were the times. xD

I was so ripped off when I was noob. This one person took all of my PPS because they convinced me that they weren't worth anything and nobody wanted them, so they were adopting them. -_- I wish I could slap my noob self. I'm still looking for some of those pets I lost.

One thing that really hit me, was that I didn't have internet access for like 6 months (about the second half of 2010), and now suddenly a bunch of pets that used to be commons or uncommons that everybody had and barely nobody wanted, are now rares and tons of people want them. xD It's still really hard for me to consider '09 pets valuable because I remember adopting those pets and having tons of them.
I'm kind of sad that I didn't bother trying to get all of the '08 pets in '09. They're so much harder to get now. :C

Yeah I have a hard time considering some of the older pets valuable as well. When I joined it wasn't waaaaay back at the beginning, but it was far enough back that there were a TON of '08s that were still Uncommon and Common. And some of the '09s were so ridiculously common they still seem worthless to me even though they're now Uncommons and the '08s are all Rare and Very Rare. I traded off so many of those earlier pets for next to nothing because I had a ton of them and though their tag says Rare now they were still so common for me. It's hard to get your head around the rarity changes as the site grows.

However it is weird, but the last thing i remember is that every pet in old archive had a name, lol
maybe someone had to say it already, sorry if he had, i just said what i remember :3

also, my own 'old' thing is that i didn't know about pets' rarity, and were adopting only one pet from whole adoption variety every month O_o
from every kind-of-pet section, of course
even in the 2008 Christmas...
i were so silly, now these advents are so wanted... ><'

but, whatever i were, i love good old CS times. ^^

The only thing I remeber when I first joined (August of 2009...I'm now on a shared account, and mine was de-activated) there was a different way of getting to the adopts. On the side there were tabs for dogs, butterfly wolves, Warrior Cats, etc. But then I went on a long hiatus, and when I came back, everything was changed. I'm way used to it now (um, almost 2 years it's been....o3o) and I like it. It's sorta sad the warriors line/cat lineart was discontinued, but we're all sad to see something we love go~ At least the dogs are the same! ^^

Wow, I just calculated how many members were here when I first joined on September 25, 2008. I got 1,676!

It doesn't seem right but I multiplied 25 (users per page) x 67 (the 67th page) = 1675. Then I'm the second person on the 68th page, so I added one.

Right now there are 150,000+ members here. :O
