Current Season: Spring
Weather Report: All the snow has melted now, causing light flooding and a lot of mud. Be careful sending dogs out as they can slip and sprain a leg, or even break a bone. Season of the deer is still upon the kennels and prey has become plenty once again. Predators have even seemed to disappear though they still come around, at least they are not looking for trouble. Herbs have started to sprout once more so you shamans might even bring back an extra herb.

June's bleeding has stopped but she is in pain from the lack of poppyseeds.
Norman's bleeding has stopped and he is pain free but finds himself to be feeling weak. Lamb's ear will cure him of that.
Bear's wounds have stopped bleeding but the healing process is painful because he did not get poppy seeds.
Parker's wounds are open and even though Marigold has been used there is a slight infection setting in. He will need more Marigold along with cobweb to close the wounds and chamomile to give him the strength to fight the infection. Parker has fallen into a comma and will be asleep for two moons. When he wakes he will need 3 moons of rest, but he has lost his sight and smell from the attack he got from the bear.
Due to Azalea and Kodiak's inexperience they were not able to stop Parker from falling into a coma.
Eagle, Shiloh and Baxter find (2)poppyseeds and marigold.
Nina, Wallen, Brittany, Bailey, Thunder and Daisy caught two birds and a rabbit.
Stone, Bandit, Korra and Amber find the scent of a deer! Send a patrol of six(no tenderpaws) to catch it!
Boss, Akira and Rose's watch is uneventful.

Blizzard felt thankful for the small patch of land he was given to take care of and grow. First of all he needed food, Or Some Pack members to help from invading attacks.

Parker is in a coma for 2 more posts.

Pack of Olympic Forest
Number of Dogs: 16 adults, 5 pups; 11 female, 10 male

Anhrefn was ecstatic. Today was the day she would finally become a Tenderpaw! She bounced in little circles as Raleigh ran through the ceremony, not even caring that Freya was her mentor. In fact, she was so happy that she didn't mind that her first lesson was stalking. Stalking required patience, and Anhrefn always seemed to be out of that.

Blue nodded to Jaxxie. "C'mon, I need to patrol and you need to learn to navigate," he said, padding into the forest.

"As for you three," Bramble said, looking at Odin, Lassie, and Merida. "You need to learn to track."

"So, let's hunt!" Montana barked. The six bounded off.

Oliver looked at Tank. "What do we do?" he muttered. "Lay around?"

Tank huffed. "No. Go find Stitches, Briar, Badger, and Rocky. We're going after deer."

Swinging Blades

Number of Dogs: 7 Males_ 5 Females_ 12 Total
While Summer and her hunting party were out hunting, she decided to talk to them. "Let's stop and rest for a bit." The dogs stopped by a stream and drank some water. They had already caught a mouse and it wasn't far into their hunt. "I need to talk with you two."
Titus nodded his head. "What did you want to talk about?"
"I noticed that Kota is getting to be weak. When I found this kennel I noticed that there are scents of another kennel in the forest. I'm afraid that this other kennel might try to attack us if they find out that our alpha is old and weak. This is very concerning to me."
"Yeah, I've been on some hunts and prey were more plentiful in the forest. It was harder to catch them because they would hide in the roots and trees, but there is no doubt that the forest has more food. We struggled all winter and barely caught enough food to feed ourselves. But the territory only stretches a little bit into the forest. Kota likes having the open area. It is the best place to utilize his fighting style since he needs a lot of space to jump back and move."
"I think that we need to move in on the other territory so we can have more food and a stronger kennel."
"Kota won't allow that. He wants to stay peaceful to the other kennels."
"I know. That's why I am going to challenge him to become alpha." Titus was startled and he didn't know if he heard her right. "With me as the alpha, I can make sure that we will have plenty of food. Like you said, the forest has more food and that other kennel is in that land. Are you two with me?"
Blitz said "I don't really have a say in what this kennel does, but I do know that we are going to need more food if the kennel grows any larger. I am not opposing you to becoming alpha, but I am also not discouraging it."
Titus nodded. "I think that we need a strong leader that knows what's best for the kennel. We need more food and better shelter. I'm not sure how the dogs can bear being out in the open when it rains."
"Fantastic. Lekkar the shaman is also on our side. How would you like to be my beta Titus?"
"I would be honored."
"Alright, the next time Kota is in the forest, I'm going to challenge him. For now, let's keep hunting."

After the hunt, Summer pulled Lekkar aside and told him about her plan. He told her that Kota was planning on promoting the pups to tenderpaws at a kennel meeting later on. Callie's hunting party came back with a snake and a rabbit. Callie snickered when she saw that all Summer's party brought back were two mice. I knew that we could get more food. The valley has plenty of easy prey. So much for hunting in the woods.
Kota called a kennel meeting. The entire kennel gathered around. "Everyone, I am very happy with the effort you all put in hunting today. We now have more food than we ever had before. And that is a great sign because we will be having three new tenderpaws join the kennel today. There will be a celebration and a feast to honor these tenderpaws." A murmur fell over the kennel and Gracie was shining with pride.
Summer stood up and walked over to Kota. "Before we start, I'd like to say something."
"Go ahead Summer."
Summer turned to the kennel. "Everyone, I believe that Kota is not fit to be alpha." Everyone stopped and stared at Summer. Gracie let out a surprised gasp. "For the short while I have been here, I have noticed many problems with the way that Kota has been running this kennel. First, I think that you have all noticed, but before this successful hunt, the kennel didn't have a lot of food. Because of my decision to send out two hunting parties, the kennel now has an abundant amount of food. Second, Kota has become elderly and weak. It is only right that he step down as alpha and let a younger dog bear the responsibility of running the Swinging Blades kennel. Third, we have to discuss the kennel to our south. Their numbers are getting larger and who knows how long it will be before they try to attack us. We need to make our strength known so they won't try to attack us. The swinging Blades kennel is not a weak kennel! I think that it is only right that I take Kota's place as alpha. I am the beta after all, and it is the beta's duty to lead the kennel when the alpha is not fit anymore."
Kota, after getting over the initial shock of Summer's proclamation, spoke up. "I think that I am quite the capable leader. We have had no trouble with the other kennel at all. And of course the kennel was struggling with food. We just got over a tough winter. But with the success of the hunts, our prey pile is numerous now."
"It is only numerous because I sent out two hunting parties. All of the dogs worked hard for this food and we didn't waste our time patrolling the territory. I think it is time that you passed on the alpha role to me."
Kota growled and took a threatening stance. "This is my kennel and I decide when and who the roles get passed onto."
Summer growled and leaped at the old dog. He swiftly dodged her and turned to face Summer. Summer quickly spun around and Kota barely missed biting her back leg. Summer slammed her front paws on Kota's head and shoved it to the ground. She started biting and ripping at his ear. Kota yelped and headbutted Summer.
Summer went tumbling backwards. Kota slashed at her face and jumped backwards. Summer got up and charged at Kota. She went for his front paw, which he pulled away quickly. While she was under him, Summer turned her head and bit at Kota's stomach. Kota Grabbed her by her scruff and threw Summer off. Kota started bleeding.
Summer got up and pounced at Kota for the third time. This time, she managed to pin him. Kota struggled against the border collie, but the bigger, older dog was too weak. Summer growled in his face. "Do you give up?"
Panting, Kota finally nodded. Summer let him up and Lekkar went to examine the former alpha. He has bite wounds on his stomach and his left ear is torn. Summer announced to the kennel "My first order as alpha is to make Kota an omega. The Swinging Blades kennel is going to be a strong kennel and we don't need any weak links. Secondly, I am going to appoint Titus as my new beta. I feel like he will serve us well and he will help me make any tough decisions. And finally, I am going to appoint the new tenderpaws mentors. Rocco's mentor will be Lekkar. I feel that Rocco will make a fine shaman one day. Clover's mentor will be Dimitri. And Maxie's mentor will be his mother Gracie."

The Misfit Growlers

Bracken returned proudly to camp padding alongside his father, "He has learnt the most important part of hunting, the stalking skill" Logan barked proudly, patting his son on his shoulders with his paw, Belle nodded, "Very well, Logan, till Bracken becomes a Irontooth, you will teach him" she barked, Sparrow sighed from the Shaman's tunnel, he ducked his head back in to join Iris, heaving a sigh. She looked over to the Tenderpaw, and walked over, "Listen, Sparrow, I know how it feels.. the Ancestors chose me to be the shaman of this kennel, only because my other shaman-trained siblings had died" Iris barked, Sparrow refused to meet her gaze, "but I knew this kennel would be my new home, and if I didn't go to Star Lake, I'm positive none of us would be standing here, being a shaman is important! We are the only dogs who can keep this kennel alive from sickness, injuries, and winter" Iris woofed, Sparrow finally met her gaze, "I-I understand.. but some dogs don't make it even if we heal them.." Sparrow barked, Iris nuzzled the Tenderpaw, "we can't save every dog, Sparrow. But it's important we can save the majority" she said, Sparrow nodded.
One moon later

Lassie still stayed in the Tenderpaw den, she was not over her starvation treatment yet, she watched Solo run from Sophie, as she barked after him before finally tackling him down and tugging on his ears as Solo yelped, Lassie rose from the tunnel entrance and marched toward Lassie, shoving her off Solo, the older Tenderpaw let out a yelp as she fell into the fresh new-leaf grass, she got up shaking a ladybug off her muzzle, "I was only playing.. he should be tough enough anyway to fight against me, isn't he older?" Sophie whined, "I'm sure Florida will teach him that, for now leave him alone, Sophie" growled Lassie, Sophie turned and trotted off. "T-Thanks, Lassie.. it was really nice, you know.. helping me" Solo woofed, rising to his paws, "Hah! Don't mention it, Solo.. she was acting like a pup doing that to you" Lassie grinned, she walked into the Tenderpaw den and laid down in her bedding, heaving a sigh. Only a few minutes later Solo walked in, a finch for them to share in his jaws, "Co-Come on, you need to eat if you want to get stronger to catch up on Tenderpaw duties" Solo barked, the 2 shared the finch together. Belle had sent Logan and Heather on a hunting patrol, "Don't come back till you get at least 2 pieces of prey! We really need it" she barked, Logan nodded and nuzzled his mate goodbye as he wandered off to the hunting grounds with Heather, "So, since your the beta.. where do we hunt first?" Heather barked, "Let's go hunt by the logs over there, we may find a few lizards or frogs if we're lucky" Logan barked, Heather nodded.
Rookie and Poppy shared the last finch together, only.. Poppy just ate a serving cause Rookie didn't have the feeling to eat, "um, Poppy! Would you follow me please? I have something important to ask you!" Rookie barked, Poppy nodded, "Sure, I don't really know what's important though" Poppy grinned, the 2 walked off to the Love Trees, 2 trees with their branches tangled around each other, Iris growled as Poppy headed off with Rookie, "She deserves better! He used to be a spoiled two-leg dog till they left him on the road, plus he challenged our beta!" she spat, Sparrow shook his head, "Iris.. Rookie needs love too!" Sparrow barked, Iris growled and headed into the den. "So, Poppy.. I meant to ask you this for a long time, but I thought leaf-bare was a bad idea.. Will you be my mate?" Rookie asked, Poppy barked happily, knocking Rookie over and touching her nose to his, "Yes! I always liked you, Rookie!" she grinned, she got off of him and Rookie rose to his paws, "Yes! Our pups will be as strong as I am, and as loving as you are!" Rookie yipped.

Weather Report: Spring has finally come! With a crisp cool breeze blowing. Snow still lies on the ground, not yet fully melted. With warmer temperatures prey begins return and predators begin to disappear. With Spring comes herds of deer, patrols may come across the scent of deer.

Where The Red Fern Grows

Tugger padded up to Trevor, looking a little pink in his cheeks. "Hello brother." Trevor waited politely. "Hey, I was wondering..." Tugger avoided eye contact, glancing over to where Beatrix was sitting. "Would you and Beatrix like to have a day off of your duties?" Tugger turned red, "It's not like that! I mean, I would love a break but-!" Trevor smiled, "Yes, I thought that was the case, glad to see you found someone. Enjoy your day off." Trevor walked back into his den and left Tugger where he was. Tugger was sweating like crazy. He only had one moon to confess! Darn, Trevor knew him too well!

Trevor wanted to welcome the loner himself, so he decided to go with Anne, since she knew the scent. He sent Kai and Kylie to take Niles hunting, as well as Diego and Koda in a different direction. He noticed that Sandra was in the queens den, where Holly and her pups were, and Tugger and Beatrix were nowhere to be found.

Their walk was becoming very awkward, Tugger was walking at a slightly faster pace, and no-one was talking. Beatrix suddenly felt bad for him. "Hey... Im sorry. Uh, I just love teasing you." Teasing me? What does that mean? "Your... really sweet and fun to be around." Really? "Y'know, this feels a little one sided." "Sorry! I, uh..." C'mon Tugger you can do it. "Uh, I just... really..." Tugger clenched his teeth. "Yes?~" "Uh, I really... like... having you around too!" Shoot, seriously Tugger? "O-oh." That about ended the conversation right there. They went back to camp and started acting very skittish around each other, and everyone could tell. The nervous laughing and the clenching of their muscles when they were sitting next to each other. Trevor sighed and decided that he would wait some moons and then give them another day off. Hopefully they would still have feelings for each other. He really wanted Tugger to find someone perfect for him.

"Hey pups!" Sandra sauntered into the den. "Sandra! You came to play with ME right??" Jenna shoved the other two aside. "No Jenna. She did not." Holly got up and greeted Sandra. "So, Juniper, you will go with Sandra for a little bit." "Thats right. I need to talk to you." Jenna burst out laughing. "Junie is in trouuble! Junie is in trouuble!" "Quit it." Juniper looked at herself. "Am I hurt?" Sandra laughed, "Not like that! Of course not dear. I want to ask you... would you like to be my apprentice next moon?" "What?" Juniper thought for a second. "Me? Really?" Sandra smiled. "Yes, I feel you could make an amazing Shaman. I think you have tons of patience, and a kind soul." Juniper had a sudden rush of adrenaline, a feeling she thought she could never have. "Im so happy! I would love to be the shaman tender paw!" Juniper stopped, she wanted to become alpha, or at least beta! "Whats wrong?" "I... I don't know. I just wanted to become alpha, or beta." Sandra nodded. "Do you have any intention of having a mate?" Juniper twitched. She turned pink. She wasn't thinking of anyone, but she still thought the question was embarrassing. "I guess not." "Good, once you become a shaman, you are not allowed to have a mate." Right... Juniper remembered that part. "Ok. I made up my mind... I will do it."
