Streamstar rolled over in her mossy bedding, as sunlight trickled through the entrance of her den.
I guess I have to get up from my nap eventually she told herself, and stood up, enjoying the nice breeze that ruffled her fur as she did so. She rushed over to the nursery to check on Honeykit, and finding him asleep, woke him up.
"Honeykit, want to come on a patrol with me?" she purred to her only son, and thought of his siblings who hadn't made it out of the fire. She gave him lots of special treatment for this reason- Not that he wanted any.
"Ok, ok! I'm coming already!" She purred happily, following him out of camp. Glancing at him affectionately, she shook her head. "No, we're hunting silly!" She replied, he head suddenly shooting up as she spotted a squirrel. Knowing Honeykit was a bit to young, she decided to let him try for it anyways. Motioning towards the squirrel, she looked back and forth between him and the prey, trying to see if he could catch on without her having to say anything. She sighed at her son. "I was trying to show you... the first rule of hunting is being quiet. Otherwise, if the prey hear you, they won't stick around for long." She paused as she heard a screech. "Honeykit!" She called, and jumped on top of the kit, just as an owl swooped over them, snatching a not so lucky mouse nibbling a seed where Honeykit had been moments before. "It could have killed you!" She fretted.

He returned to the den, gazing at the now steadily setting sun, his mouth full of bitter tasting dock. Spitting it out, and bundling it into a leaf wrap, he stuffed it on the rock shelf in the cave. He didn't hear steadily approaching foot steps until Cherrywind was basically standing on top of him.
"Oh.. Uh, hi...D-did you need something for the kits?" he asked, knowing he wouldn't be able to hear the response. Sighing, his whiskers drooped. It seemed that no matter what he tried, he'd never fit in.
The other apprentices were always more desirable than him, and- But before he could finish this thought, he felt Badgerthroat's tail on his shoulder. Nodding in response, he followed his mentor over to help with the sorting of the fresh herbs, which only cheered him up slightly. Taking the signal, he began sniffing at the piles, searching for dead herbs and shriveled berries. He found a juniper berry with mold on it, and tossed it out. Sighing his mind drifted back to its usual thought; what it was like to

Female|Queen|Expecting Dewkit and Leopardkit
Rolling back and forth uncomfortably in her nursery bed, as she felt the kits kicking inside her, she decided to see one of the medicine cats. She ran into the nearest one, Rainpaw.
"Rainpaw-" she began, before abruptly remembering his deafness.
"Right, sorry...I'll find someone else." she mewed, being unintentionally rude, and walked off, in search of a different medicine cat.
"Yes... I think they may be coming soon, maybe even today." she meowed with concern, wincing as another kit kicked. She stood, and was about to let out a stream of complaints, before Nettlepaw shushed her with a flick of her tail. She sat silent for once, and then stalked off.
She'd show that apprentice! I can still catch a mouse! She ran out of can, as fast as the kits would allow, and began searching for some prey.

Storm grumbled. His nice afternoon nap had been interrupted by some clumsy kitty pet's stomping paws, and he wasn't letting them get away with this.
"Who are you?" he growled, leaping from the bushes and startling Biscuit.
"Oh, it's just you, Biscuit. And don't you dare call me that terribly embarrassing name, those mouse-brained two-legs gave me!" He growled, annoyed as memories of the life he'd left behind flooded his mind. He snorted as the other cat fled. "I'm Storm, and I don't really care what you think is
yours. It once belonged to me. And I didn't think you
Clan cats needed a Fox Den so badly, so I thought I'd take a nap. But if you want to fight," his claws unsheathed slightly, "I'm more than willing to to earn my rest." Noticing her mystified look at the fleeing tom, he added, "Oh, that's Biscuit. He's a Kittypet from the Aspenclan twoleg place." He snorted, and left the den.
It might be worth... no, Coal wouldn't be happy to see him again. He was sure his son had forgotten him anyways. Still, he couldn't resist seeing what the mini version of himself was doing. He left his den behind, and headed towards two-leg place.

Eaglepaw swished his paw in the water, trying to catch a fish, when a huge one splashed out of the corner of his eye.
If I bring that one back, it might impress Dovebelly enough to make me a warrior! he thought to himself. He began trying to position himself to catch the fish. Sticking one paw in, he slapped the fish, trying to dig his claw into its side to bring it to shore. But the opposite happened- He ended up stuck to the fish, which was now pulling him into the water. He was plunged in face first, and luckily Dovebelly had taught him a little swimming, so he was able to unhook himself for the fish, and pull his sputtering, gasping, gagging, self back to land. Hopefully,
no cat had seen
that! He decided to go deeper into the woods, perhaps he could bring back a huge squirrel! Looking up suddenly, he noticed one of his fellow apprentices. "Oh, hi Oatpaw!" He mewed excitedly. "I was just going to hunt, want to join me?" He asked, his incident of moments early already wiped clear from his restless mind.

Frogpaw was crouched over on top of a tree, trying to position herself just right so she could catch a bird... When she slipped off the branch, scaring the bird away, and landing, ungracefully on the grassy floor.
"Oww..." she moaned, but, after assessing herself, only ending up with a small bruise.
"Oh... Hi..." She mumbled, blushing now that her mentor had seen her fall. "Yeah... I think I'm all right." She brushed herself off and stood shakily up, trying to hide the soreness in her foreleg by shifting her weight to her other paws. "I'm sorry, I should have waited for you but-"

Splashheart purred to himself gently, considering the thought.
Possibly...No...Luckykit died! But why was his scent reapearing so often when he neared two-leg place? "Good morning Silverwhisper. What's troubling you?" he asked as he read her confused expression. "Luckykit? Our bro-" he broke off to stop his voice from cracking with sadness. His brother Luckykit. The cat who'd left the clan. He was sure he'd been killed, but then again, he was constantly catching that similar scent of him on the wind... "Are you... sure? Biscuit... WAIT. That kittypet who teamed up with Jeff and was causing trouble for Aspenclan a few moons ago? Did this cat have any of the same patterns on his fur as Luckykit?" He asked, hoping it was possible that his brother was still alive.
