1) Umm, not much here but if my theory is correct, that would change when it grows.
2) As someone mentioned Gelata is a baking fairy and bakers can use chocolate in their creations as the wedding cake showed.
3/4) Well, this isn't deer related and they said heart and the wrapping of the chocolate is covered in hearts. Also, you can see that the wrapping is starting to peel away to reveal the little chocolate nose.
5) Irrelevant because all pups grow by then.
6) Hot and cold again refers to baking as someone stated a while ago. Also, there's hot chocolate and there's "cold"chocolate which could be like a chocolate bar?
7/8) Not quite sure here but maybe the choco dog turns out to be regal-ish or something like that. Or Pluma is a troll -_-
9) Again, hot and cold mentioned again.
10) This guy has an eye color of brown which isn't "creative".
11) Pattern throughout the body of hearts or when its grown possibly something chocolate related.
12) Chocolate is a sweet.
13) Well, you could say this looks somewhat female and maybe it does more in its final form. And, the second part as mentioned by someone else, references Gelata the baking fairy.
14) Not quite sure what that means but I guess that it could grow up to be like that.
15) None yet, but again it could grow up to be like that and it would be adorable if it had a bite taken out of it or something like that ^^

18) That could mean because it isn't really clear what the pup is at first, so its like asking, "Can you guess what my true form will be?"

Also, they used a Willy Wonka gif and its Willy Wonka and the CHOCOLATE factory. Hmmm, is this little guy yours?

Gosh I'm believing this more and more as I read XD I'm so glad I dug around and found the baking fairy!

I like Reigncat's theory, but part of me fears that the chocolate pup is too literal and Pluma is taking immense pleasure in being a troll. So the paranoid alternative, and my first guess that I've had suspicions about being Gelata since she grew on Day 2 is:


I'm on mobile and can't really speak for hints right now, but I can make the art style connections.
- Pluma is a sucker for freckles (and spots) and warmer tones
- That shading and contrast preference in the palette is pretty hard to conceal (did the same soft sort of butt shade on Opal in '15)
- Cool eye color has always been a theme (and again with the shading)
- Partial to toe/leg markings

You can't tell me that the tail doesn't look like the piping on the wedding cake or a slice of marble cake. I may come back later to edit in the hints/their connections. Anyone else feel free to tackle this hunch~

ok, I'm going to leave this here for Atwood or a fellow detective to pick up.

My latest three guesses for Atwood's pup (and yes, this is exactly how I relax and clear my mind in between contemplating breadcrumbs ):

•
o No blue eyes.
o No extra things in the negative spaces.
o He has the pricked ears that could flop over any minute; he has the stub tail like a previous staff pup at this stage; he has the subtle blending of colors like previous pups (most notably the purple one). He’s got the deceptively simple pup stage going on.
o Shares the blond highlights and the dark lowlights with the Master.
o Does not have a translucent watermark, to throw us off.
o Not bald.
o Looks gentle and sweet, but also looks a bit like a bear which could be scary to some.
o May have tail edits at a later stage.
o Well, if he’s a bear, are people thinking of Gentle Ben or The Revenant?
o Friends with the skunk—both looking like forest creatures?
o This pup is the only one in the litter that’s borderline brindle.

o No blue eyes.

o Looks to be based on an existing breed like a previous dog, has flop ears, detailed face markings, and blended colors. Deceptively simple pup stage.
o Master colors: blond and dark
o Watermark not translucent, to throw us off.
o Not bald.
o This looks like a mastiff to me (note the jowls), and those breeds are giant goofballs that love to be loved on and spoiled. They’re incredibly sweet, but because of their size, people are frightened of them.
o There have been plenty of horror movies featuring dogs, but Sandlot is one that comes to mind for showing a “scary” mastiff that turned out to be a big softie.
o Tail edits may happen in a later stage.
o *Sigh.* I know plenty of mastiffs that have wanted to be “friends” with skunks, rip our olfactory senses.
o This pup seems to be the only one with obvious jowls.

o Flop ears, and looks to be based on a corgi—a couple of previous dogs also look to be based on herding dogs.
o Master colors: blond and black.
o No translucent watermark to throw us off.
o He could very well be sweet and gentle, but right now he looks like he wants to bite someone or something.
o Tail edits may happen in a later stage.
o Dark lineart, blended colors, deceptively simple pup stage…
o Maybe he wants to befriend the skunk so it can scare off whatever parasite that is on his back.
o Those stubby legs are unique to this pup.

the specks kinda look like the seeds on pumpernickel bread, as do the colors; though the colors also look like a hedgehog's, too xD
plus the specks design seem to be something that Dia. does in other pet designs o:

Very true. The only thing is that Pluma seems to love trolling poor users so the theory seems right up their alley. But this one seems close too.

While I love some of your reasoning (hedgehog hiding in the leaves = CUTE), this is not my pup. <3

"Blue, but not blue."
One theory for this clue that I have(which actually makes sense, unlike the other one) is about blue eyes or feathers. Blue jays, and all other blue birds, do not actually have blue feathers or blue melanin. Blue eyes also are not actually blue, nor do they have blue melanin. Both of these examples only appear blue due to how light refracts off the microstructures they are made of. Maybe the dog of the giver of this clue has black eyes, reminiscent of blue bird feathers, or colorless eyes, like blue eyes without light refracting?
