Welcome, young trainer, to Huia Isle.
This paradise is a haven for any and all Pokémon, stretching from island to island, beach to beach, volcano to ice caverns, berry forest to the dunes; this isolated nirvana has all that you could seek.

1. Tui Island - Tui Town, Pokémon Center, the starting point of our journey.

2. Kakariki Island - Home to the Berry forest, plenty of bug Pokémon to be found.

3. Miromiro Island - Gym Leader Borran resides here in Tomtit town. He's excellent with Bug type Pokémon. Tomtit Town also has an annual Pokémon Competition for all coordinators to enter.

4. Kokako Island - The main Island, home to Pukeko power plant. The town, Moho-pereru, also hosts an annual Pokémon Competition. In the middle of the Island are the Takahe Planes, famous for their big game Pokémon such as Taurous, Snorlax, Miltank, Kangaskhan and any Pokémon of substantial size.

5. Riroriro Island - To get to the island is to surf over the Weka Straight; notoriously deadly, having wiped out the bride constructed the year earlier. Beware of whirlpools. Riroriro Island is home to the Kuaka Volcano, filled with Fire type Pokémon. It's easy to say that gym Leader Julian uses the intense Isolation of the island to pump up his Pokémon for fast and furious battles.

6. Whiroia Island - Home to the Ice caverns, jammed full of chilly ice Pokémon. Gym Leader Fren is cold and calculating as uses strategy and the environment to her advantage.

7. Amokura Coral reefs and Sand Bars - The only way to get to this collection of coral reefs and sand bars is to surf; though it's worth it, as the area is notorious for its rare and beautiful water Pokémon. Gym Leader Rettice would think so too, be careful, she's an ambush fighter. She'll challenge you, not the other way round.

Catch ferries from these, to these. Ferries between Island 1 and 4 and between 4 and 6. Ferries are exceedingly expensive, you won’t have enough money at the beginning of the trip to ride on one.

Rules.
Read them, I'll know if you haven't.

-This is Semi-Lit +. I expect good spelling and grammar. Minimum writing requirement is one four line paragraph. Feel free to do more, I know I will. :3

-There are only four positions.

-All Pokémon except the newest generation are available.

-You must have at least one starter Pokémon on your team.

-No Legendary Pokémon on your team. You'll have plenty of time to catch some.

-You may only start off with three Pokémon, you'll be catching your own in this RP.

-Please, no final evolution forms, you're a relatively new trainer in this RP, none of your Pokémon should have evolved yet.

-I don't really care if we have uneven genders, this RP isn't focusing on romance.
On that note, I support same-sex relationships so feel free to indulge in those. If you don't like the idea of that, don't join.

-Do not copy Pokémon. If someone has the same Pokémon as you, I'll go with whoever wanted it first.

-You can only fight the Pokémon that I say are in your radar. Same goes with random "wild" trainers. *Note: You can fight your travelling companions at any time, they have the right to refuse.

-Please avoid cliché and over-used characters - Feel free to go crazy on the hair colours, though, this is the Pokémon world.

-Only one person can fight any one Gym Leader. That means the Gym Leader will only fight one person. Who gets to fight the gym leaders will be picked by a random number generator.

-No rare Pokémon in starter groups. Aka: Dratini, Lapras, Togepi, Feebas, Gible, Bagoon and etc. If you want a Trapinch on your team, you're really going to have to have an amazing character.

-No Shinnies. Ever. Not even in the Wild.

-There will be no instant accept of characters; slots will be open for about a day.

- You can only catch three Pokémon.

-You can release Pokémon, but it is very, very looked down upon. I would suggest not doing it, there could be an unforeseen punishment in-game if this happens. (I've heard of Fearow swooping down and stealing the strongest Pokémon from your team.) (>:I) Don't rush to catch Pokémon, just wait for the better ones to show themselves.

-You can trade Pokémon with each other. c:

-Pokémon can only know four moves. If they learn a new one, they forget an old one.

-No powerful Pokémon/moves right off the bat.

-Pokémon can come out of their balls whenever they like. However, you can only have one Pokémon out when in towns, otherwise it’s seen as a faux pas.

-All trainers were born on the Isles and raised on the Isles.

- All trainers are Semi-new. About a 1/3rd of their way through their journey.

Now for the most important rule...

NO EVEE OR EVEELUTIONS.
Because I know how popular these Pokémon are, everyone would end up having one and that's just uncool.

The Start.

Our Trainers will start off at Tui Town Pokémon Center, having made plans the night before to set off in a group.
They don't know very much about each other, besides each other’s names.
It's bright and early in the morning, a few of them might still be a bit sleepy, and some might be excited for a brand new day and a new adventure.
They're all in front of the sliding doors, waiting to leave to Pokemon Center.

Personality
Rather docile, Sophie is a mothering type of person. That's a lot of the reason why Pokemon, especially the young ones, flock to her and her comforting aura. Her adoration with Pokemon start rather early on in life, not having gotten the best side of humanity in her younger years. To her, Pokemon were the better, safer choice. But like any Pokemon Mother, Sophie has an agressive side to her, especially when it comes to her 'babies.' Most would have thought she would have taken the Co-ordinator path, or a Pokemon Breeder even more so; but Sophie's love of battling could not be surpressed. She loves fighting a long side her Pokemon, she feels it gives them a better connection. Sophie fights on the fly, making up battle plans as she goes, knowing that a battle could change in an instant.

But, Sophie knows when to conceed and this, sometimes, is her downfall. She pulls back when her Pokemon just need that push over the edge to win. But she would rather loose a battle then win one with an exhausted and injured Pokemon.

Sophie's rather plush and bountiful figure paried with large, docile mid-hue blue eyes leaves her to be heavily underestimated on the battle field. Most think she'll be an easy win, Sophie's intense competitive streak would like to say otherwise. Always driven to succeed, Sophie often feels worthless when she loses; though she never blames her Pokemon.

Baby or young Pokemon are unnaturally attracted to Sophie.

Mareep.

Personality
There is no human Mareep will ever trust as much as Sophie and will follow her commands unwavering, even if it causes Mareep harm. Mareep is only used in Pokemon Contest, and will only ever be used in battle in team events. It has high agility but lacks a lot in defence. Mareep is an award winning Pokemon Competitor, showing at the highest grade. She adores snuggling with Sophie and would rather spend the day cuddled into her arms like a large plush toy, but then so would most of Sophie's Pokemon.

History
This was Sophie's first Pokemon. Given to Sophie when she was only twelve by her Grandmother, Mareep has been with her for over seven years.

Sandshrew.

Personality
Sandshrew is a big baby, part of the reason it gets coddled so much by Sophie. Sophie has contemplated more than once when she first caught Sandshrew simply giving it over to a co-ordinator or someone that wanted a Pokemon companion because of its cry-baby nature. As soon as it gets hurt it has a tendancy to burst out into tears and run straight into Sophie's waiting arms. The only reason Sophie has not traded her Sandshrew away is because of both her intense adoration for it, and because it shows exceptional strength.

History
Sandshrew was one of the first wild Pokemon Sophie and Mareep ever fought together when she first started her journey. It was after a well placed tackle that Sandshrew burst into tears and ran off crying, injured. Sophie, feeling guilty, took off after it and eventually managed to get it to trust her enough so that she could take it to a Pokemon center. Which was not near by. At all. In the end, Sandshrew became rather attached to Sophie and all but forced Sophie to take it a long with her.

Cyndaquil.

Personality
Cyndaquil is an incredibly jealous pokemon and a major hog of Sophie's attention when it can get it; this often leads to Cyndaquil getting into trouble. It has been known to flare of the flames on its back and burn other people or pokemon that it feels is taking up too much or Sophie's time or are getting too close. Sophie has to keep a large supply of Burn Heals on her persons at all time.

History
Cyndaquil was picked up from the Island Pokemon Lab as Sophie's first starter Pokemon.

Jared is a very social bloke. He hates to be on his own, and often goes out of his way to make sure he has someone by his side. Because of this fear of being alone, he often keeps one or two of his pokemon out of their balls so that he can have some company. He can get incredibly over-protective of the ones he loves, and can develop relationships quickly. Sometimes reckless and big-headed, Jared also has a light sense of humour, always cracking jokes and trying to have a good time.

Charmander is very excitable. He loves to play, and is generally very loud. He can sometimes forget that his tail is on fire, as he often jumps on Jared or other pokemon and can give them burns. He gets incredibly upset when he does this to his friends, and often tries to hide his face because of the shame.
He is very dedicated to his master, Jared, and reflects his emotions and answers his call. If Jared wants him to attack another pokemon, he will give it his best.
History
Charmander was Jared's starter pokemon. His first pokemon. A gift from Jared's mother as a birthday gift.

Pikachu is very loyal, energetic. He is however, very quiet for a pokemon. He rarely cries out, and often uses his body language instead.
History
Jared came across Pikachu out of complete luck. As soon as JAred saw the zig-zagged yellow tail, he took out a pokeball and caught him.

Absol is rather moodly. Very temperamental, her mood reflects the weather. Stubborn, and sometimes overly-proud, she does what she wants to do the majority of the time, making it difficult for Jared to train her.
History
Jared came across Absol not long after he set out. He was camping, and it was pouring down with rain. He had Pikachu and Charmander next to him in the tent, when he heard a bustling outside. Running out into the rain, he saw the dripping wet Absol. She didn't attack him, the reason why Jared has not yet found out, but he took out a poke-ball and threw it at her. She didn't resist luckily for Jared.

Personality
Tisagu is a rather distracted man, he can't keep his mind on one thing for too long, and he can be quite forgetful, he's the definition of someone who has their head in the clouds. He often likes to sit and think about things, but most of his ditzy-ness comes around when he's not having human interaction, he doesn't care for his Pokemon much, but thinks of them as tools for battle.

When he's around actual people, he's still air-headed and light, but is much more snide when he can be bothered. He will often make small cracks about people, and their Pokemon, since frankly he's damn proud of even getting his Pokemon.

He's often nervous around large groups of people, but not Pokemon unless their bigger then him. Which is hard because he's VERY tall, over six feet. He can be rather easily angered or frustrated, but most of the time is a bit too, well, ditzy to want to do anything about it.

Owly simply doesn't do much, she just sits and observes most of the time unless she's ordered to do something. She's just a rather bland and serious Pokemon.

History
Owly met Tisagu late at night when Tisagu was quite young, Tisagu began to leave food for Owly to lure the innocent bird Pokemon in. But after a few years of gaining each others trust, Owly stayed with Tisagu, purely because he found the young Tisagu interesting and wanted to find out more about him. While Tisagu just wanted a Pokemon, instead of a starter as a first Pokemon, Owly was basically his first, but was more kept as a house pet. Never trained, never did much, just sat there obserbing. So when Tisagu got the chance to be a trainer, he got Owly to come with him of course.

Tiromay is a very playful Pokemon, always running around and getting into trouble.

History
Tisagu got his starter Pokemon like anyone else would, and frankly he had a sort side for little Pokemon, so he picked one that would be cute at first, and then would evolve into something great. He picked Torchic, because of the cuteness, and power, but also because the little Pokemon made him laugh.

Very solitary, likes to be alone, barely ever speaks out [As in, you know, Pokemon talk, like "Raaaaalts"] He tries his best to be the best in his team, but just being a Ralts, it's pretty hard. He frankly, very much wants to evolve so that he can try harder. He's like the back-up plan for the team, and is only trained, battled and achknowledged when the other Pokemon are busy or have fainted.

He is fairly distant from the other Pokemon, because mainly because he's jealous.

History
Tisagu caught his Ralts right after he set off, in one of the first places he had gone to. Rattles was the first Pokemon he caught, and he was proud to have caught it. Rattles never took a liking to Tisagu though, being a back-up plan. He didn't appreciate it.

Nixie is a free and individual spirit who would much rather show off a Pokemon's skills than battle them. She has a creative mind, which sometimes comes in handy with being a Co-ordinator. She's not afraid to try something new and risky or be different from the majority. Trying risky moves is probably her downfall in performing though, as they usually either fail or aren't performed as well as she had wanted. She works closely with her Pokemon, although at times she may push them a bit too hard. Still, she loves them nonetheless and wants them to succeed in what they do.

Her daring attitude may get her into trouble at times, and usually she doesn't know when to stop. Because of this she can be rather annoying sometimes, even if she doesn't mean to. Despite being brave and nearly fearless, she's quite calm most of the time. She is usually never angry at anyone unless they have provoked her to no end. Even then it's hard to anger her. Nixie is a stubborn girl though, and won't settle on something she doesn't like very easily.

Nixie is most of the time a misunderstood young woman as she is often thought of as the odd ball of a group. Most people don't understand the way she thinks or her motives, but she's perfectly fine with that. She lets people think what they want as long as they let her think what she wants. She's pretty easy going and laid back, and usually not very well prepared. Most of the time she will go with the flow and wing something if she forgot to practice certain moves with her Pokemon. Again, this almost never works to her advantage.

Personality
Olive is an affectionate and clingy young Sentret, who is easily frightened. He also has a hatred towards his pokeball for an unknown reason. He is very fidgety and nervous most of the time, due to his great variety of fears. Lucky for Olive, Nixie is a diligent worker and she tries to help him get over his fears. Which may or may not be successful. He tends to be rather energetic and will dash back and forth for no apparent reason. He is also very observant, and almost nothing gets unnoticed by him.

History
There was a tear in Nixie's bag, which she did not notice until she had gotten to the next town over. Along the way she managed to attract a young Sentret who followed the trail of fallen berries Nixie had left behind. She practiced the techniques her brother had taught her on this Sentret, to test out her abilities. Fortunately, she was able to catch the Sentret, which she named Olive. The Sentret was glued to Nixie almost 24/7, hating his pokeball and being scared of the other Pokemon. Often he is seen perched on Nixie's shoulder. He is so far the last Pokemon Nixie has caught, and the weakest. He shows great promise in competitions though.

- Nixie calls her Allie mostly.

Ponyta

Personality
Althea tends to have a somewhat explosive personality, which can sometimes be considered bipolar. Her moods tend to swing back and forth, sometimes at the blink of an eye. She could be calm and docile, but suddenly switch to stubborn and moody. Despite her wild attitude, Allie is a mostly sweet and caring Ponyta at heart. Her outside appearance is what drives most others off though, for being thought of as absolutely crazy. Althea is a strong Pokemon who can usually take hits better than most. She is also a hard worker when not going through insane mood changes. She's pretty good at competitions, and Nixie's best performing Pokemon.

History
Nixie was wandering some grasslands for quite a bit as she and her older brother were on the hunt for Pokemon. He was going to teach her how to catch Pokemon with pokeballs for the first time, although she kind of already knew how they worked. Still, it was a chance to learn something potentially valuable, so she went along. The first Pokemon they came across was a wild Ponyta, which Nixie's brother caught to show her. He then gave the Ponyta to her, for her to train and raise on her own. Althea was Nixie's second Pokemon, and probably her strongest one. Althea is the best performer as well, out of the three.

Fleur is a rather soft spoken and docile Pokemon, who is very easy to work with and rather intelligent. She has the smarts to pull of risky stunts without hurting herself, most of the time. She will follow orders when asked and is very loyal to Nixie. Although, when she has a irritable streak, Nixie has learned to just leave Fleur alone until she feels better. Pokemon food always helps though, and Fleur loves to eat, especially berries. Fleur is rather quiet and rarely ever vocalizes her feelings, she does that though actions and body language, which Nixie has come to understand.

History
Fleur was Nixie's starter Pokemon, given to her by her older brother. Her brother knew that she had been dying to get her first Pokemon ever since she had become old enough to get one, and finally he gave in by giving her a Bulbasaur. The two seemed to have an instant liking towards each other, and Nixie probably has the closest bond with her darling Fleur.

Primrose was never really one for just fighting with Pokémon . She thinks that they are able to be much more they are given credit for. She loves her Pokémon, and thinks they can be great fighters, and yet used with beauty on a stage. Primrose is enthusiastic, and helpful, yet determined, and levelheaded. Jared is a very social bloke. He hates to be on his own, and often goes out of his way to make sure he has someone by his side. Because of this fear of being alone, he often keeps one or two of his pokemon out of their balls so that he can have some company. He can get incredibly over-protective of the ones he loves, and can develop relationships quickly. Sometimes reckless and big-headed, Jared also has a light sense of humour, always cracking jokes and trying to have a good time.

Charmander is very excitable. He loves to play, and is generally very loud. He can sometimes forget that his tail is on fire, as he often jumps on Jared or other pokemon and can give them burns. He is very dedicated to his master, Jared, and reflects his emotions and answers his call. If Jared wants him to attack another pokemon, he will give it his best.
History
Charmander was Jared's starter pokemon. His first pokemon. A gift from Jared's mother as a birthday gift.

Absol is rather moodly. Very temperamental, her mood reflects the weather. Stubborn, and sometimes overly-proud, she does what she wants to do the majority of the time, making it difficult for Jared to train her.
History
Jared came across Absol not long after he set out. He was camping, and it was pouring down with rain. He had Pikachu and Charmander next to him in the tent, when he heard a bustling outside. Running out into the rain, he saw the dripping wet Absol. She didn't attack him, the reason why Jared has not yet found out, but he took out a poke-ball and threw it at her. She didn't resist luckily for Jared.

Tisagu is a rather distracted man, he can't keep his mind on one thing for too long, and he can be quite forgetful, he's the definition of someone who has their head in the clouds. He often likes to sit and think about things, but most of his ditzy-ness comes around when he's not having human interaction, he doesn't care for his Pokemon much, but thinks of them as tools for battle.

When he's around actual people, he's still air-headed and light, but is much more snide when he can be bothered. He will often make small cracks about people, and their Pokemon, since frankly he's damn proud of even getting his Pokemon.

He's often nervous around large groups of people, but not Pokemon unless their bigger then him. Which is hard because he's VERY tall, over six feet. He can be rather easily angered or frustrated, but most of the time is a bit too, well, ditzy to want to do anything about it.

Owly simply doesn't do much, she just sits and observes most of the time unless she's ordered to do something. She's just a rather bland and serious Pokemon.

History
Owly met Tisagu late at night when Tisagu was quite young, Tisagu began to leave food for Owly to lure the innocent bird Pokemon in. But after a few years of gaining each others trust, Owly stayed with Tisagu, purely because he found the young Tisagu interesting and wanted to find out more about him. While Tisagu just wanted a Pokemon, instead of a starter as a first Pokemon, Owly was basically his first, but was more kept as a house pet. Never trained, never did much, just sat there obserbing. So when Tisagu got the chance to be a trainer, he got Owly to come with him of course.

Tisagu got his starter Pokemon like anyone else would, and frankly he had a sort side for little Pokemon, so he picked one that would be cute at first, and then would evolve into something great. He picked Torchic, because of the cuteness, and power, but also because the little Pokemon made him laugh.

Very solitary, likes to be alone, barely ever speaks out [As in, you know, Pokemon talk, like "Raaaaalts"] He tries his best to be the best in his team, but just being a Ralts, it's pretty hard. He frankly, very much wants to evolve so that he can try harder. He's like the back-up plan for the team, and is only trained, battled and achknowledged when the other Pokemon are busy or have fainted.

He is fairly distant from the other Pokemon, because mainly because he's jealous.

History
Tisagu caught his Ralts right after he set off, in one of the first places he had gone to. Rattles was the first Pokemon he caught, and he was proud to have caught it. Rattles never took a liking to Tisagu though, being a back-up plan. He didn't appreciate it.

Nixie is a free and individual spirit who would much rather show off a Pokemon's skills than battle them. She has a creative mind, which sometimes comes in handy with being a Co-ordinator. She's not afraid to try something new and risky or be different from the majority. Trying risky moves is probably her downfall in performing though, as they usually either fail or aren't performed as well as she had wanted. She works closely with her Pokemon, although at times she may push them a bit too hard. Still, she loves them nonetheless and wants them to succeed in what they do.

Her daring attitude may get her into trouble at times, and usually she doesn't know when to stop. Because of this she can be rather annoying sometimes, even if she doesn't mean to. Despite being brave and nearly fearless, she's quite calm most of the time. She is usually never angry at anyone unless they have provoked her to no end. Even then it's hard to anger her. Nixie is a stubborn girl though, and won't settle on something she doesn't like very easily.

Nixie is most of the time a misunderstood young woman as she is often thought of as the odd ball of a group. Most people don't understand the way she thinks or her motives, but she's perfectly fine with that. She lets people think what they want as long as they let her think what she wants. She's pretty easy going and laid back, and usually not very well prepared. Most of the time she will go with the flow and wing something if she forgot to practice certain moves with her Pokemon. Again, this almost never works to her advantage.

Olive is an affectionate and clingy young Sentret, who is easily frightened. He also has a hatred towards his pokeball for an unknown reason. He is very fidgety and nervous most of the time, due to his great variety of fears. Lucky for Olive, Nixie is a diligent worker and she tries to help him get over his fears. Which may or may not be successful. He tends to be rather energetic and will dash back and forth for no apparent reason. He is also very observant, and almost nothing gets unnoticed by him.

History
There was a tear in Nixie's bag, which she did not notice until she had gotten to the next town over. Along the way she managed to attract a young Sentret who followed the trail of fallen berries Nixie had left behind. She practiced the techniques her brother had taught her on this Sentret, to test out her abilities. Fortunately, she was able to catch the Sentret, which she named Olive. The Sentret was glued to Nixie almost 24/7, hating his pokeball and being scared of the other Pokemon. Often he is seen perched on Nixie's shoulder. He is so far the last Pokemon Nixie has caught, and the weakest. He shows great promise in competitions though.

Althea tends to have a somewhat explosive personality, which can sometimes be considered bipolar. Her moods tend to swing back and forth, sometimes at the blink of an eye. She could be calm and docile, but suddenly switch to stubborn and moody. Despite her wild attitude, Allie is a mostly sweet and caring Ponyta at heart. Her outside appearance is what drives most others off though, for being thought of as absolutely crazy. Althea is a strong Pokemon who can usually take hits better than most. She is also a hard worker when not going through insane mood changes. She's pretty good at competitions, and Nixie's best performing Pokemon.

History
Nixie was wandering some grasslands for quite a bit as she and her older brother were on the hunt for Pokemon. He was going to teach her how to catch Pokemon with pokeballs for the first time, although she kind of already knew how they worked. Still, it was a chance to learn something potentially valuable, so she went along. The first Pokemon they came across was a wild Ponyta, which Nixie's brother caught to show her. He then gave the Ponyta to her, for her to train and raise on her own. Althea was Nixie's second Pokemon, and probably her strongest one. Althea is the best performer as well, out of the three.

Fleur is a rather soft spoken and docile Pokemon, who is very easy to work with and rather intelligent. She has the smarts to pull of risky stunts without hurting herself, most of the time. She will follow orders when asked and is very loyal to Nixie. Although, when she has a irritable streak, Nixie has learned to just leave Fleur alone until she feels better. Pokemon food always helps though, and Fleur loves to eat, especially berries. Fleur is rather quiet and rarely ever vocalizes her feelings, she does that though actions and body language, which Nixie has come to understand.

History
Fleur was Nixie's starter Pokemon, given to her by her older brother. Her brother knew that she had been dying to get her first Pokemon ever since she had become old enough to get one, and finally he gave in by giving her a Bulbasaur. The two seemed to have an instant liking towards each other, and Nixie probably has the closest bond with her darling Fleur.
