Matt knelt down, which was a tricky business to negotiate in his clunky shoes. he knew they needed to talk as well but he didn't know how to start, the words hung in his thort, he couldn't say anything at all.

"One of us is going to have to decide. If you would rather stay on the island, then I'll stay too. I don't think I could bare to not see you ever again." Ricky kept her eyes on the water, her hands out behind her.

"Whatever you're more comfortable with is fine by me. As long as I'm with you I don't care where I am," Matt said in an honest but heart-felt way. He smiled softly and fumbled around with the zip of his jacket.

"You don' get seasick, do you?" Ricky knew it wouldn't be good for him to go on the ship if that was so. Cases of seasickness could last days. She wasn't sure if Charlie would let him come along or not, but they could cross that bridge when they came to it.

"Never, my dad and I go sailing regularly and we go on cruises too, it would be disastrous if I got seasick," Matthew explained, thinking about the great trips he had had with his dad, they hardly did anything on those lazy summer days, well they raced sometimes but that was all.

Ricky looked over at him. He seemed to have had a good life before getting stranded. It would have been nice if there was a way to get him back to his family, but she wasn't sure if that could even work. His talking about his dad made her think of her parents, though. She let out a breath of air, "Where do you come from, Matt?"

"Portsmouth, England" Matt replied. He liked his home by the coast it was small and modest but lovely and cosy for his family. There were lots of facilities near his house too. "What about you?" he asked Ricky, he had been wondering this because he couldn't tell from her accent.
