Title: The Chronicler
Name: Oracle
Gender: Male
Major Power: Time Travel
Story:
He lived in a small Kingdom, working under the Chronicler. The job was fairly simple, taking the scrolls, organizing them by there era, time, and who they're about. That was the only thing he knew the job was about, he never knew that it would also involve him having to write down the history, or even travel back to that time period. That was until one day, when his Mentor told him that he had a special job for him. He asked what it was, curious to what he'd have to do. His mind was portrayed thoughts of possibly having to go into town, and pick up some extra scrolls, but the answer wasn't what he had expected. His Mentor told him, that he was getting too old, and it was time for him to show Oracle the next to last step of what the job would take. His Mentor motioned for him to follow, which he did obediently. He had known for awhile that his Mentor was going to have to pass on the job to him at some point, he just never thought it'd be so soon, he'd only had 3 years of working and training beneath him, he thought he'd have to go another few years. They stopped when they came into a room. It had shelves, with scrolls stacked neatly one them, curved along the walls of the room. The ceiling was a dome made of glass, with some sapphires embedded into the frame along the edges that kept the glass connected to the building. The flooring made of mahogany. In the center was a giant hourglass, it had a golden top and bottom, the sand had a silvery look and shine to it. There was a a desk near the hour glass, that had a few scrolls on it, a quill, and some ink. He stood there in awe at the room, his Mentor just shook his head and chuckled, as if he found the expression amusing. Once he was finally out of his daze, he was told that he'll be taking over the job of writing down the historical events. Which sounded like a lot of work, which it was, though it would be used keep record of the past events. He was led to the desk, and was instructed on how he should go about writing everything down. After the instruction, his Mentor told him that it was about time that he used his powers. He's never really touched his power, not even out of curiosity, being told to do so was strange, but he didn't argue. He listened to his Mentors instructions on how to do it, and willed himself to change the time frame. His eyes where closed as he did so, and when he opened them, he saw that he wasn't in the same place as before. His darted around as he was on a mountain, his ears picked up the sound of clashing metal, and he looked down. There was a battle going on. His eyes widen as he watched for what seemed like hours, but in actuality was only a few minutes. He felt something on his shoulder and looked at it, it was a paw, he looked fully back and saw his Mentor. He wondered how he got here, but it must be the same power. It was probably the reason why he was chosen as his student in the first place. His Mentor started to explain this era to him, even though he learned this when he was little. He was told that this is usually the time period where most are sent at first, to understand to an extent, where their powers could take them, and that it could be dangerous. He asked how, it doesn't make too much sense to him. His Mentor shook his head, as a low chuckle rose from him, he said that is something for him to figure out, after all, the meaning could mean different things from one person to another. He just nods and looked back, trying to figure out what the meaning for him it, but he sighs assuming it'd take a while before he fully figures it out. His Mentor told him that its time to head back, so he explained how to make sure to get back to the original time. Once back, he was instructed to write down the events. This happened for a while afterwords, day after day, month after month. He would travel through time, come back, write down what transpired, and have it be looked over. When he finally showed that he could make almost perfectly accurate writings, did his Mentor finally back down, giving the title to him.
