Hoard Discussion Thread v.5

do you have an "old" pet you just started hoarding? like just recently have you gone back and looked at a 2010 pets thinking "hm. i'll just hoard this one.. i forgot how nice it is."

About 1/2 my hoards are old hoards. I prefer to have very calculated, planned hoards. (are you REALLY sure this is what you want to hoard for this year?)
One of the most recent ones are these guys. Boy... I had so many of these that I just gave away over the years and now I want to hoard them because nostalgia OTL

Plus it looks like an Anatolian Shepherd right now. And I love those dogs so much. cx

Does anyone else have a hoard where they name everything in the hoard something...sort of relevent?

I suffer from intense anxiety, so when I get a "worry rat" (see my stamp collection) I name it something like "I'm so worried right now" or "worrying about my job", and put whatever worry is foremost in my mind as its name and then throw it into the bin.

It's sort of cathartic.

I do have one hoard like this, but it focuses on the positive things in life - my dreams. I named every pet in it what I wish for or dream of.

Oh I like that. And no worries about my rats. I worry about them too and go in and read them all the time, to remind myself that I'm actually NOT worried about everything all the time. Sometimes it's hard not to spiral in my thoughts so it's good to have a reminder that says "but ARE you worried about your son right now?" And no, I'm not. So...it's sort of a relief. XD

@Wookieinmashoo this is my 2nd cupcake hoard of the sort I start! I filled the last one easier because it was 3 different cupcake outcomes and the pet was smaller as well (bobtail) so I ran out of room pretty quick but I've still got room for these guys on their pet... and I've been hoarding them since release. xD


But dang I love your clown fish hoard! They must be difficult to obtain, I assume? I struggled even collecting them during the event but I am not sure if people have gotten less picky with them since
I wonder how long til you run out of room like I did with my valentines cupcakes :^D

I looked through your groups and found the Valentines cupcake hoard I remember. There's something about their simplicity that just make them work as a hoard.

The clownfish aren't too bad since they're pretty recent. Most people want to hold on to an entire set but people will eventually come to the conclusion they just don't want them as a lot of people do with event items. I've debated on discontinuing my 2012 nightmare hoard (which was a token from the event too) and have yet to stop. I just end hoards when they start competing for trade fodder with my other hoards that I like more. Or sometimes I just realize I won't need 40+ ghost hoodies because, what am I really going to do with all of them?

And I got to 250 of these!


They are the single reason why I have no 2012 uncommons.

That's so impressive.. I hardly let go of that much uncommon fodder at once. I have some older uncommon hoards but ;; most I ended at 20 apart from my little disaster pups right here
And actually hardly anyone trades me these anymore
