Jasmine padded carefully through her new territory. She was rather tired from completing her leadership Gem Quest, but she held herself proudly. She was the leader of a Skulk! Her! She had often dreamed of making one as a kit, growing up with her brothers Jasper and Jase, the three Jas's their mother often called them, but now, she was actually here! Making her way about halfway up the gem mountain, so that she could speak with the skies, and ask for the first real member of her Skulk.

As she climbed, back up the slope she had, just last moon, gotten back down from, she wondered what rank of fox she should ask for. A Second could be useful, in helping her lead the clan and give her advice, especially if it was an older fox. But a Mending Vulpe would be a smart request, to gather herbs to heal future Skulk-mates. Or maybe she should just ask for a Fighter or Scout, to get those ranks started, to have more foxes to patrol and hunt....hunting would be good, though she was planning on doing a bit herself after she was done up here. But then maybe she should ask for a Queen, get the skulk started off with new life!

But when she reached the place, and was sitting there, staring up at the skies...Jasmine knew what she wanted to ask for.

Stars overhead who watch and protect the living foxes. I ask that you send me a Mending Vulpe. I need a fox to help me approve Pupil's Gem Quests, to weave collars, and to keep my Skulk healthy and safe.

“It’s a strange place, and its folks are even stranger.”

xxxMemal had been looking for a skulk to join for a while. She'd lost her last one thanks to a jaguar, leaving her all alone in the world. So she was very pleased to encounter a dog-fox on her long wanderings.
xxx"Hey! Hi! Yo! You!" Her cheeriness was probably not needed to get attention from the dog fox, whose eyes snapped towards her at her first word. "I knew today was a good day, but it's now a very good day, hello, good to see you!"
xxxThe dog fox fixed her with a fierce steely glare. His eyes narrowed, and his ears flicked back. "Oh yes, today is just wonderful."
xxxMemal bounded over in a slightly lolloping run, her tail flailing madly. She was actually a pretty slow runner, and had managed, somehow, against all odds, to maintain the exact same way she'd run as a kit into adulthood. The dog fox took a few stumbling steps backwards as Memal ran literally right into where he had been. She straightened herself up and shook her head in an attempt to regain her dignity. Meanwhile the dog fox has his eyebrow raised in mild amusement, but eyes no longer narrowed. Or at least, he did for a second, before changing his expression right back to what it had been.
xxx"Are there any other foxes around here?" Memal asked.
xxxThe other fox's ears flicked, a slightly wild look in his eyes momentarily. "Oh yes, a mighty skulk with many members, who would surely chase away any unwelcome visitors."
xxx"Ooooooh, can I meet them?" Memal asked excitedly.
xxxThat same wild glint entered the dog fox's eyes, although with less intensity. "Of course. If you're not scared of Lljaka, the mighty warrior, that is."
xxxJust then there was a rustle from the bushes nearby, and a dog fox and a vixen emerged from the undergrowth. And immediately the other dog fox started talking. The first rolled his eyes, in a highly exaggerated motion.
xxx"Greetings, welcome I wish to proclaim, in turn would you tell us your name?" The first dog fox glared, and growled very slightly under his breath at this comment. "Or if you have so little appreciation for poetry as Panne!kakos here, welcome. I'm Vashaqhti, this tom who so brilliantly welcomed you-" The first dog's - Pan's - glare intensified. "Is Panne!kakos, or Pan, and this is Lljaka."
xxxLljaka slightly dipped her head towards the new vixen in a sign of greeting, which Memal copied in a far more exaggerated way, showing far more enthusiasm than the gesture ever needed.
xxxThis whole introduction would have been much more helpful had Memal more than a very brief introduction to Kerdo. Her previous skulk had been mixed, and so they'd only spoken Karnni- quite apart from them seeing no point in having multiple languages.
xxx"You will be saying simple-s?" She asked, in as terrible pronunciation as her grammar.
xxx"If you want anyone to be saying simples, don't talk to him, ever." Pan said, in the same sort of tone as a parent recommending a kit not to go out looking for pythons. Memal was unsure why a warning about the seeming leader's speech would have the same sort of importance as what she'd use as a recommendation for her future kits staying alive, but she made a good mental note of it.
xxx"Okay. You all seem nice enough." Rather conspicuously, Memal's gaze was directed away from the dogs. "I'm Memal, can I stay here with your skulk?"

As small,curious ears flipped from side to side,Feroz heard a noise.He heard a sneeze on his grounds as he growled in warning ''who's there?'' the deep,stubborn voice grumbled ''aha,it's gordon.'' the friendly and fluffy fox gingerly skipped out the bushes.Mysti suddenly smiled,seeming already attached to this dog when the vixen met his eyes,Feroz growled ''and what are you doing here may I ask?'' ''i've wanted to join your skulk i'm a mending vulpe,you see.'' Gordon offered with a suspicious smile as Mysti nudged Feroz with a smile.

The two slowed down as they neared the caves of camp, approaching it warmly, like it was a living object, like an old friend even. They neared the prey pile, and lowered their sagging heads and opened their parted jaws to release the hunted down creatures. Atalanta smiled briefly before nodding to the already moving callisto, then sauntering off into the darkness to patrol the area.

Skulk of pattering rain
Rain, come and wash our sins away
Number of Foxes: 3

Three dark figures trotted through the star-less night, their eyes twinkling like coal-fires. Pelts of onxy and fire rippled in the breeze and ears pricked to the gentle gurgling of a rain-swollen river. The tallest of them grinned and turned to the others, chuckling softly. ''This will be our new camp! The skulk of pattering rain starts here!'' The dark todd sneered at the face of the waters, watching it slide idly by. ''And then everyone had better watch out; the storm has only just begun!'' Behind him, the two others exchanged concerned looks. Citlali hadn't always been like this but ever since his brother had been killed, he'd become obsessed with power. Whether he was possessed or it was his way of grieving, the two didn't know. ''Citlali, are you sure?'' Isi inquired, looking anxious. ''I don't really-'' ''Silence!'' barked Citlali, swaggering up to the pretty vixen. ''Leader's orders, Isi, you don't question them.''

Isi fell silent and stood beside Nuka in stony silence. ''Yes, sir.'' She mumbled, head bowed. Citlali smiled softly and turned away from his accomplices, tail held high. ''And like I said...the storm has only just begun.''

Next Star Speak:[b] September 24th

The mall dusty brownish red female padded through the woods, taking in every scent and sight. That was until one night the female received a mysterious message. A pair of beautiful starry foxes, visited the the vulpe in her dreams. "You will travel far, until you come a beautiful woods with a secret cherry blossom area. There you will make your home and begin your skulk. Your kind and gentle nature will make for a good nature skulk. We shall be your guidance shall you become lost or need help." With that the foxes dipped their heads and disappeared. The female slept peacefully the rest of the night.

The next morning Dahlia rose to her paws quickly and swiftly, thinking back at on the dream she had the night before. Smiling the female vulpe headed north, to the only place she knew that had cherry blossom trees. There a large mountain loomed above with a beautiful clearing with pinkish purple flowers and a sparkling lake. Dahlia knew that would make the perfect home for her future skulk.

The travel was long, but the female didn't mind as she enjoyed walking and every sight and smell. Dahlia arrived at her new territory by late afternoon. The female stood there, taking in the breath taking view. Dahlia then raced down to the lake sparkling below and lapped up a bit before lifting her head back up. The fox then padded in to the woods, going straight to where she remembered where the secluded area of cherry blossom trees where. Quickly getting to work Dahlia began to work on making her camp before looking up to the stars. She then asked for a mending vulpe so her clan may remain healthy.

Skulks of Moonshadows

This new clan of Skulks are usually night goers, with some skulks designated to morning duties to ensure the survival of the clan. They are more silent than other clans and keep to themselves, rarely noticed in clan meetings every two weeks. They are mainly dark colored foxes though some of them are brightly colored with whites and creams, these are usually the morning skulks though. They rely on stealth and speed over strength and intimidation. The Moonshadow skulks focus on hunting in the trees and bushes over the noisy rivers that run near their camp, which they use for drinking water. These skulks are kind and gentle beings and worship life that they have taken, given, and all other life in between. They think of life as a sacred thing and focus their beliefs around only injuring and killing if absolutely necessary. Hence the quiet nature and keeping to the shadows. This new clan is ambitious and ready to take on the challenges thrown at them.

tundra's piercing gaze examined the foxes in front of her. one was was quite small and had a nick in his ear as well as a scar running through his left unseeing eye. the tod next to him was tall with no visible injuries other than the long scars along his back. the last fox was white with a hint of grey in her pelt. she was the only fox here willing to meet her eyes for more than a second. visibly, she was the skulk's leader. "i thank you for welcoming me," tundra said in an even yet slightly loud voice. just as she'd anticipated, both the tods jumped at the sound, while the leader simply nodded. this skulk needed her, it seemed. "no problem. follow me, i'll show you the right spots to hunt. echo, come with us. smoke, go patrol the borders." the foxes nodded to their leader and immediately started their different tasks. undoubtedly, tundra liked the authority emanating from the small white and grey vixen.

June is excited to finally have his territory and wakes up early in the morning to get as much time as possible preparing for more foxes to join his skulk. He starts his day with hunting, making sure any prey he catches he brings back to the area he made camp in before going on a quick boarder patrol. The sun was going down, and June knew he wouldn't get much out of being out at night with his white and caramel colors, so he decided to travel to ask the stars for a mending fox, to give a strong foundation for the skulk in case something happened and they happened to need the wisdom of a medicine fox. He traveled back to camp and curled up to sleep until morning, still excited to be the leader of a new skulk.
