You're birthstone? And do you like it?

I think it depends on where you look, but my birthstone is the opal. I've actually always loved the opal, the multiple colors that shine in different lighting always captivated me.

To anyone: Favorite CS lineart?

(tbh caterpillars are pretty great ;) )

It would be quite biased of me to say the dog lines so I'd like to say the deer and foxes are another big favorite of mine.

So I'm assuming that most of the staff have built strong relationships with each other online, I'm just wondering if you have ever met another staff member or one of your friends here in real life?
And sorry one more question: has anyone (who wouldn't know your involvement on the site) tried to recommend Chicken Smoothie to you?

I haven't met any of the other staff or team members thus far, but I do have plans at some point to visit Ashki at some point. I'm also going to somehow find a way to drag Seasonal on over to a zoo or something in our state so we can geek out about the big cats together.

I hadn't had CS recommended to me, I found it ages ago from a forum where users displayed them in their signatures. I thought they were pretty and I thought the art style was cute, so I looked at the site and here I am today.

The roleplay boards for sure.
But also the writing boards. Though I have to admit I am more of a stalker there than I actually post there. Watching all those rather tight knit groups of writers kinda intimidate me tbh.
I really want to keep my writing thread more active though - let's see how that's going to go.

My mother language is German and I am....more or less fluent in English.
I did have both Spanish and French in school - but I pretty much forgot everything. Or at least the remaining knowledge isn't really worth to mention.
But I really want to learn Italian and maybe Japenese one day if I ever get so bored to find the motivation to learn another language xD

not to be biased or anything but i mostly hang out @ the rp boards... desperately trying to find a cool one to join ^^;
i'm very selective about the rps i join, mostly because i primarily only rp as canon characters, and the fandoms i'm in sadly
don't seem to appear in the rp boards much... and i'm scared to join multifandom ones? ?? haha i'm weird

i speak finnish ( primary ) and swedish ( secondary ) as my native languages, english fluently, and i understand other scandinavian languages ( norwegian, danish ) through my swede roots. overall i'm most confident with my finnish & english skills.

i've been trying to learn french but i'm too busy,,, i've been taking this course on duolingo but i always forget ahah
besides french i'd like to learn arabic... and maybe dutch 'cause i've always been dreamin' about the tulip fields of netherlands :p

I'm really curious, how did you come up with your username? If it's personal then you don't need to reply! ^^

My first username was Nightstar95, which is a name I use a lot online. A few months after I joined CS, however, I started planning up a concept for a dragon rider RP on CS with one of my best friends. Originally the idea was immersing ourselves fully into the RP, which meant changing our usernames into that of the character we would be playing as, and I wanted to come up with a very cool, badass sounding name of course! At the time I was reading the Percy Jackson books(more specifically Titan's Curse) and had fallen in love with the character Zöe Nightshade. I loved everything about her, including the sound of her name, and thought about somehow including Nightshade in my new username. At the end I decided to stick with my real first name too in order to make my immersion even better, and thus Lilian Nightshade was born.

Nowadays the name stuck with me so much that I consider Lilian Nightshade a persona and picture her as my artist side, considering that's what people really got to know me as once I started growing as a digital artist on CS. I also have a second persona which I call Lilian Nightstar and picture as my writer side, given that's the name people got to know me on brazilian fanfiction boards back when I wrote fanfiction and original stories constantly. I like to imagine these two bickering and fighting each other all the damn time over control of my brain, it would explain why my inspiration wavers between writing and drawing so much XD.
