thanks for the clarification!
Typically, in litters that have 5-6 or less outcomes, the +2 does work. Its the bigger litters it usually doesn't work. Now, there are always exceptions of course, but those are rare for the smaller litters.
3*1,5 = 4,5 - gets rounded up most of the time (I totally expect 3 outcomes for all litters with a limit of 5 this month)
4*1,5 = 6, that is +2
Yes of course it
works coincidentally, but using the *1,5 is in general more accurate for any number. ^^
And then we have the exceptions with 5 outcomes and an adoption limit of 4. Hooray. XD

I understand the 1.5 thing, its just faster and simpler to +2 for smaller litters lol.

Do you peeps have to do math in the morning?! XD My brain is non-functional atm. I'm only looking forward to having to overpay again for a missed staff litter outcome... which I don't mind since I did that when the SLT and the Malk Mutant were such a big thing back then.

5 outcomes * 1,5 gives you 7,5.
(For example the staff litter has 27 outcomes *1,5 gives you 40,5 - and we could adopt 40. The "+2 more than outcomes" wouldn't work here. ^^)
