i. call me cliche, but i guess when you never get to enjoy the little things, it’s that sorta stuff that becomes important to you.

i can’t tell you how many stormy days i’ve wished to dance in the rain,
how many sunny days i’ve wanted to feel the warm breeze.
ii. i don’t have a lot of friends. i don’t have the chance to make many. sometimes i don’t even see anyone - besides family - for weeks.

i like when strangers look my way and smile.
iii. technology allows you to see and hear all sorts of things.

it’s nicer to see these things in person. for example, the strumming of a guitar’s strings is more vibrant live than it is on a screen.
for example, i can bet her eyes sparkle more in real life, that her voice is that much clearer, that her words will be that much sweeter.
iv. call me cliche, but happiness is the little things. it’s the taste of rich chocolate milk. the feel of an animal’s fur. the scent of firewood. it’s the smile on your best friend’s face.


it’s all the stars that light your heart and scare the darkness from your mind.
