What makes them mad?;; What really grinds Shrekstons gears is when people mistake him for a toad. Sure he looks like one but he isn't one! Don't even think about teasing him about it either. He will screech in disapproval

What makes them mad?

"Wow! You have such a nice coat man! Are those other Kalons on it?" A young kit, maybe five called out to Merari as he walked by, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. Merari was obviously not impressed by this statement, and turned to face the kit.

"SHUT UP!" He screamed, and saw the young kit burst into tears by Merari's sudden outrage. The kit ran away crying, and just to make his point clear, Merari yelled at him right before he was out of earshot.

"YEAH! YOU BETTER RUN!" Merari's face was red with anger.

He hated when people commented on his coat. He had never been one to socialize, and having patterns of HIS SPECIES on him drove him insane. It meant people talking to him. At first he was very mildly annoyed, then he started getting mad. Now he can't stand it. He has considered shaving all his fur off again. but winter was approaching and he needed it to stay warm.

Impress me!

Well, had shaven his coat before. It was actually quite funny...

It was July. The heat was practically unbearable. Merari was going to the store for some ice. The heat made him even more irritable than normal. It also didn't help that people were pointing at him and "oohing" and "aahing" at his fur pattern.

Just leave me alone, will you? he thought bitterly. He finally reached the store, and grabbed some ice along with some Mountain Dew to drink. He went to pay for his things, and the cashier noticed his cool appearance.

"You sir, have really nice fur! Why look! It's the same color as the Mountain Dew!" Merari growled, but kept his cool. He wouldn't let this idiot ruin his day.

On the way home, Merari was in a really bad mood. He felt as though he would explode.

Suddenly, it appeared she came out of nowhere, a Kalon came up to Merari. He just kept walking. He didn't need anymore social interaction. The other Kalon struggled to keep up with him.

"Sir! Sir, please wait! I need to.." She was cut off by Merari yelling.

"I'VE HAD ENOUGH! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" He screamed at her and bolted down the street, towards his house. He was sick and tired of people saying his fur was cool, interesting or it matched a popular beverage. He was DONE.

"But sir, you dropped your wallet." She said, although Merari was way out of earshot.

When Merari got home, he threw his belongings onto the table, waking his pet pug up. The pug, named Rus, started barking quite loudly, seeing as he's only a tiny dog.

"RUS! SHUT UP!" Merari cried, and stormed to the bathroom. He grabbed his razor and started shaving off chunks of hair, not even thinking. Just blinded by rage.

When he was done, he looked very strange. His skin was a pinkish color, with spots of brown every here and now. He was breathing heavily.

"Oh no!" he said, realizing what he had done. He walked out of the bathroom, and Rus looked afraid of him.

"Well, at least people won't be commenting on my fur."

Rus, Merari's little pug, was never intended to come.

Merari decided he wanted a pet. Someone to keep him company, but not always pester him.

He didn't want a dog. Dogs are noisy and always want your attention. He was going to get a cat. Cats are independent and usually like to stay to themselves.

The perfect pet for him.

He walked into the animal shelter and headed to the cat room. As he walked, he passed a room with a glass window. Curious, he peered inside. He saw a little pug puppy, laying on its bed, chewing a toy.

Nobody else had even glanced at it.

"Poor, ugly creature." He said, smirking and turning away. Nobody would want him.

He headed to the cats, and realized that they were too expensive. Jeez, that much money for a cat!

He started walking back, obviously in a bad mood (but that's to be expected) and passed the pug again. He decided to stop by, hoping this pathetic creature would make him feel better. He peered in the window again, and saw the little ugly puppy.

It looked, well, sort of sad. Just laying there, nobody to love. Merari felt some sort of feeling for it: sympathy.

No, you came for a cat. Not this ugly thing. He said to himself as he continued to stare. He couldn't take his eyes off of it.

Focus! He'll find someone! The pug looked up and met Merari's eyes. It sat up, and cocked it's head.

No..! He was fighting an internal battle with himself. The pug gave a little whin, and Merari was won over.

"FINE!" He screamed out loud, and everyone stared at him. He stormed to the front desk.

"How much is the pug?" He demanded in a rude manner.

"Well if you like him, you can have him." The lady at the desk said, narrowing her eyes. She didn't like his guy, not one bit.

"Fine! I'll take him!" He said, frustrated.

The lady took Merari and lead him to the pug. She got him on a leash and gave they leash to Merari. The pug was jumping up and down, as if he knew what was going on.

"Now, let's go get some dog supplies." The lady told Merari, as they went to the supplies section of the shelter. The more Merari looked at this pug, the more he grew attached to it.

After a while, they only had one thing left: a bran new collar. Merari looked around, but saw nothing very interesting. He moved a few orange, pink and green collars away, and saw this rust coloured one.

"Perfect." He said, while grabbing it.

He decided to mate the pug Rus, after his rust coloured collar. He brought Rus home, set everything up and watched Rus as he slept, snoring loudly. He was quite fond of this creature.

But little did he know this pup would bring him headaches, broken things, chewed on shoes and a lot of cleaning up to do!
