❝sungleam always loved wrens, she found their voices beautiful
and enchanting, and she'd always dreamed that she'd been named
after the beautiful bird instead of the large yellow blob that is
the sun. when she became friends with possumpelt, they were
automatically closer with each other than with their other friends.
it wasn't long until sungleam was expecting, and she said that if
they had a daughter that her name would be wren. lo and behold,
they had a single daughter whom the two new parents named
wrenkit. wrenkit was a quiet kit, not wanting to do much, and
sungleam was constantly voicing her concerns to the medicine
cat and her apprentice. but cherrystem always said that some
kits were just naturally quiet, and sungleam soon dropped the
topic. by the age of five moons and apprenticeship, wrenkit
began perking up and soon she was as lively as the other kits
in the nursery. she used her energy to train daily, but she always
enjoyed cleaning out the elders den as they would always tell
her stories. as the moons passed by, wrenpaw grew and soon
she was a full grown she-cat at her very own warrior ceremony.
she was named wrencreek, and she began carrying out her
duties to her clan to the fullest of her abilities. she patiently
awaits an apprentice of her very own, and she hopes that she'll
get an energetic apprentice that is as extremely eager to learn
as she had been as an apprentice.❞

❝wolfbriar was always a stickler to the rules, feeling that she had to
follow the warrior code to the very letter. but then she chased a
rogue off of their territory. this rogue, river, asked to meet her by
the waterfalls at moon-high that night, and so she did as she was
curious about this handsome tomcat. they grew close, and continued
meeting until one day wolfbriar carried the news that she was expecting.
but one cat had followed river that night, and as soon as the two were
celebrating and wolfbriar was planning to take river back to join
beetleclan so that her kits could have a father, the stranger attacked
and murdered river. she told wolfbriar that he was the father of her
kits, and wolfbriar was in shock that a cat would kill her own
ex-mate just because he was going to become the father of
another she-cat's kits. wolfbriar refused to talk about willowkit's
father, so it's a mystery to the whole clan, even young willowkit.
willowkit grew up basically without a mother as wolfbriarsank
into depression and finally wandered off on the night of her
daughter's apprentice ceremony and never returned. so
willowpaw refused to even acknowledge that she even
had a mother and began her training so that she could
forget about how wolfbriar abandoned her. willowpaw
loves helping with the elders, always excited to hear
a story even though she hates the part about using
mouse bile to pull the ticks off the elders' backs.❞

@Destinystwilight - by companions, do you mean like close friends? as in an associate? if so, i think webheart would like that very much. i'm also open to find a sibling for any of my characters, if that helps you create some type of relationship between duskstar and any of my cats. <3

I can see Dusk mothering Webheart during his apprentice years but as he grew up respecting him as a brother or close friend. Dusk would also see allot of potential in WrenCreek, considering her a good person to talk to her concerns about; she would consider her for the next deputy but inevitably turn her down in favour of someone more willing to take risks and make tougher calls.

Also there is a poll up on the main thread if you haven't seen it yet!

history lionpaw took up the duties of medicine cat apprentice to relieve him-
self from the burden of overbearing parents and their expectations. both
darkstrike and toadspot are accomplished beetleclan warriors, and when
starclan blessed them with two kits they were ecstatic with the idea that their
sons would follow in their footsteps. their largest son, lionkit, was the subject
of most of their speculations. the two warriors were so convinced he was going
to be a great warrior that they tried to control every aspect of his life to make
it so, so when the time came for lionkit to be apprenticed he requested the
position of a medicine cat to spite them. it didn't take long for him to find he
actually enjoyed helping his clanmates and challenging himself to memorize the
herbs and their uses, and he takes pride in his work. his lack of patience leaves
something to be desired but lionpaw makes up for it with his quick thinking and
genuine approach to personal relationships. he's honest and hardworking, even
if it's still plain to see he has a warrior's point of view.

duskstar [pos/neu] duskstar was an
untouchable, unknowable stranger in
the moons of his kithood, and now
that he's to work closely with her, that
she now confides in his mentor and
himself by extension, is a really big
deal. lionpaw knows that his parents
wanted him to come to her attention
through his physical strength, but now
that he has an opportunity to make
his own way lionpaw is determined to
impress her as a medicine cat.

webheart [pos/neu] lionpaw can't say
he's overly fond of his mentor, feeling
restricted and maybe even patronized
by webheart. he's new to being the
apprentice of a medicine cat, and
knows that he shouldn't make snap
judgements, so lionpaw has been on his
best behavior. keeping his frustrations
so bottled up means that it'll be more
difficult for the two to bond, but it also
means that he's taking the time to learn
more about his mentor before he starts
to act like an unruly kit.

history as a kit heavyfeather would trail warriors or more confident kits through
their camp, preferring to follow the lead of somebody else. this behavior carried
on through his apprenticeship even as he became more confident in his own skills.
heavypaw proved to be a formidable opponent in a fight, as well as quick enough
to run down startled prey. still, as a warrior heavyfeather would rather take orders
than make decisions for himself. he's had one apprentice in the past, and though
he taught her as best he could heavyfeather felt he came up short in his aversion
to making decisions and giving clear instructions. even now he jokes that she
trained herself, and he's only mostly kidding.

heavyfeather likes to keep his business to himself, keeping a quiet stoic mask on
in the company of cats he isn't close to. he speaks plainly and doesn't beat
around the bush-- if he has a problem, he'll mention it in a way that doesn't give
the listener any insight into how he feels about it. it's easy to be mad at him.
