She whispered terrified that someone could do this. She stared at the body in disbelief. She stood beside breezefire. She'd never believe that silverflower was gone.

( I vote Spiderpaw just because one of the killers had to know that lavender would hide the scent.)

Panicked Spiderpaw followed behind the young tom, desperate to stop him from seeing his mother in that state. "W-wait! Otterkit your mother i-isn't in g-good r-" pausing the medicine apprentice was losing control over his stutter. "Your mother needs you to be strong.. okay." Fighting back tears he couldn't bring himself to say it.. he couldn't do it. Otterkit deserved to know! 'Great Starclan! I found out about my father when I was only 3.. Otterkit is stronger he'll be okay, right?' Trembling Spiderpaw had yet to speak, the words stuck in his throat like cobwebs.

The death of a Clanmate is never easy, and it hits the former kittypet pretty hard. Blueheart has been sitting in a patch of sunshine, just stunned. Her blue gaze, more or less for what she's been named for, is bright with shock and dull with fear. Her tail is curled tight around her paws.
She's never really seen death before. This being her first, more or less, she doesn't know what to do.

The clan was mostly quiet and in harmony. Until the death of Silverflower was announced. He didn't know who the murderer could be and was strangely unfazed about it. Sure, it was a shame that a guardian of a kit had been murdered, but now was not the time to mourn for the dead. They needed to find who it was before an another clan mate would meet the same fate. He wouldn't vote for anyone just yet as there was not much to prove which cat could've betrayed Riverclan. He yawned slightly as he listened carefully to the cats (clanmates) around him.

The Clan sat in nervous silence. Otterkit was still
in the dark about his mother, however he had grasped that
she would no longer be with him, and his head hung.
Silverflower had been buried by the river, near a patch
of flowers similar to her name.
A couple of names were thrown out, but they lacked
conviction and no cat was certain.
No-one was exiled and the Clan went back to their
dens, fearful that they would be next.
No cat had been exiled yet, RiverClan. Be on your toes.

Otterkit lay in his nest, cold and feeling alone.
The normally bouncy kit was wide-awake, and yet the usual
thrill of being awake without Silverflower knowing was
dull and unrewarding. Oh well. He pushed himself to his
paws. For her sake, he would become the best warrior
the Clan had ever seen! He was going to go out and then
bring back so much prey, they'd make him an apprentice
on the spot.
Otterkit snuck out of the den, looking around camp. Silence.
No cat was awake. Glee filled him again. This would be great!
He left camp, paws trembling a little. He wasn't used to being
away from his mother for this long. Taking a deep breath
like he'd seen the older warriors doing, he continued on.

The trees loomed above him and he could hear the rush of
the river. There, he heard two voices. One of them was
encouraging the other, though about what he didn't know.
Otterkit hid in the bushes, watching them, but it seemed
he had been noticed.
"Otterkit.' One called, wrapping their tail neatly around
their paws. Their eyes were, like the companion they'd
been speaking to, filled with a strange emotion. Not anger,
not sadness, but pity? Sympathy? ...
Empathy?

Otterkit stood up straight. 'I wanted to become a warrior
for Silverflower so I came out to train!'
The cat who had spoken exchanged a glance with the
other. 'Sure. You can join us.'
Not unlike Otterkit had done earlier, one of the cats,
the one being encouraged, took a breath and approached
Otterkit. 'We can help you. I know it hurts, losing your
mother. We... We can help!'
'Help? How?' Otterkit's gaze darkened with confusion.
'Just... Stay still. Okay?'

The rushing of the river drowned out any sounds of fear,
and as the two cats slipped back into camp, they were
tailed by a small, starry spirit.
Your patrol and only kitten have died, RiverClan.
