Firepelt didn't have to look. He knew the next tree only too well. He pointed his muzzle to a large pine ahead of them. It was large, and he indicated the fifth tallest branch on it. He knew that branch because he had climbed it with Featherwing one winter night and succeeded at tearing a claw on it. "That one," he said.

Silentpaw nodded and leaped gracefully across. She landed softly and looked at Firepelt."Coming, slowpoke?" She joked and smiled.

Firepelt was already moving, fortunately for him he did not replay that night in the woods with Featherwing. He didn't tear his claw and smiled victoriously at his apprentice. "Easy when you get used to it, huh?"

Silentpaw nodded. She looked around for another sturdy branch. She saw one and leaped quietly. The young she cat thought that she was living up to her name, so far.

Firepelt followed her, but didn't bother to estimate his next jump. He leaped from tree branch to tree branch, making note of how fast Silentpaw was going. He stopped at one branch and turned around. Silentpaw was easily ten branches away.

Silentpaw looked at the branches, nodding her head to her next move. She leaped across, passed Firepelt, much, much past Firepelt.
