Murderers in Riverclan V.2 [Roster Update 10/30]

Ospreyflash was pretty much dead asleep in the warriors den. She had been out late on patrol the night before and was trying to sleep it off. Unfortunately the sun seemed to have a different idea as it's sharp bright rays began to pierce through the reed barrier that made up the den. She sighed and pushed herself up, rubbing a paw over her eyes, trying to rid herself of the sleep. She could only hope that she would wake up quickly otherwise today would be awful. She exited the den and was immediately woken up by what she saw. "Silverflower is dead!" She yowled alerting the rest of the clan to the tragedy that awaited them just outside of their dens.

Rabbittail ducked out of the warriors den soon after Ospreyflash's call. "Dead? Are you sure? Maybe she's just..." Her yellow eyes landed on the bloodied body of the clan's only queen, and the Riverclan deputy's heart fell. There was no chance that Silverflower was still living with wounds like those. The brown and white shecat maneuvered herself in front of the nursery, hoping to block any view of the dead shecat from her kit. The deputy was unusually quiet, shocked into silence by the grief that now hung like a cloud over her lifetime home.

Silverflower was dead?! That couldn't be! Leaving the medicine den and the small pile of borage leaves he had been sorting Spiderpaw wished it wasn't true. The sight of the body shocked him, who would have done such a thing? Who would kill a queen with a ki-.. his eyes shot open in fear as he bolted towards the nursery.
Almost tripping inside he spotted the young tom alive and breathing. "O-otterkit?"Spiderpaw nudged him gently "I need t-to talk to y-you..."

Marigoldpaw was swiftly awoken by the sound of yowling. As his mind was still muddled by sleep, he wasn't able to make out the exact words that whoever it was cried out. Shrugging it off, his mood quickly brightened once he remembered that today his mentor was going to take him out for combat training. The new excitement coursing through his veins made him temporarily drown out the noise outside, and he burst out of the apprentice's den with newfound vigor, all traces of drowsiness disappearing.

Spotting his mentor, Rabbittail, in front of the nursery, Marigoldpaw dashed over and piped up, "Rabbittail! You're going to teach me those new battle moves today, the ones you use in the river, right-?" He suddenly took note of her crestfallen state, and he tilted his head slightly to the side in a gesture of concern. "Did something happen?"

Picking up a strange, metallic scent in the air, Marigoldpaw's expression scrunched into that of disgust. It was oddly...chilling. A glance around the camp revealed to him a motionless figure slumped on the ground, fur soaked red.

His copper eyes widened in recognition and shock, his mind quickly registering who it was and what had happened.
"W-what?!" Marigoldpaw yelped, backing a few steps away from the grisly sight . "Silverflower?!"

He glanced at Rabbittail in disbelief, then returned his gaze back to the body. "What...What is this...?

She followed Ospreyflash out of the den but she wanted to get something to eat. She stopped by the freshkill pile and grabbed a shrew. She dropped the prey only when she heard the yowl ,'Silverflower is dead.' She ran over to the nursery eyes wide. "She can't be dead," she whispered. When she seen the body she thought she was having a nightmare. Her paws led her to the medicine den and to her friend, Breezefire. She thought very little of the scent in the den other than the smell of death. "Breezefire..." she murmured," are you in here?"

The commotion outside filled Yewbriar's ears and nose with the stench of only two things: fear and death. She let out an abrupt yowl before tumbling unsteadily out of the den, ears perked and ready. "What... what happ--" She was interrupted by everyone racing around and calling for help, making her twist and turn her head all over to be able to keep track. Her eyes widened and she stumbled backward when she finally saw the torn body of RiverClan's queen. "Silverflower... she can't... how did this happen?" Her tone betrayed the very same fear she detected earlier as she gazed in horror upon the lifeless she-cat.

FireFeather woke up from a hard sleep when the scent of fear from his clan mates hit his nose and he heard yowling outside of the den. Was the camp being invaded? Badgers?
He got up as quickly as his muscles, taut from sleep, could manage, and shook himself. He ran out of the den, already bristling as if ready for a battle, but when he saw his Clanmates gathered around the nursery, he tasted the air. Death?
He creeped toward the crowd and listened carefully to the conversations that were happening. SilverFlower died? How?
He continued to listen as he wondered to himself if ThunderClan had invaded their camp, or ShadowClan, or even rogues!
He shook himself at just the thought.

Getting no response or answer for any of her questions, she curled herself closer, eyes darting around the clearing with anxiety. Just a simple phrase could summarize how she felt at this moment: Yewbriar was afraid. Her paws and tail were tucked away as she tensed up, squeezing herself into a ball to try and find her own little world. Nothing really happened. Silverflower didn't die. She couldn't have. When she opened her eyes again, it was still there, to her terror. "It can't be real... she can't have..." Yewbriar's thoughts didn't reassure her. Nobody truly knew what happened, but they had to find out.
