peggy yawned, watching as the blue, hot sky, turned to a soft velvet over the vineyard, the trees and the
bushes rustling with the soft breeze. it was a quiet night, other than than the trains in the distance,
and the children from the neighboring farm. she enjoyed the small vineyard they lived on, as it was
always stress-free and she loved the beautiful sunsets. she sighed, taking in the view and the soft
breeze. everything about it was perfect.

peggy jumped as she heard her brother call her down for supper. she wobbled down from her room,
the staircase squeaking every time she moved. at first it annoyed her, but she became numb to it.
her brother sat down at the table, his feet dangling under him as he wasn't tall enough to touch the
floor. she saw he was nibbling on some pasta, and it made her hungry. they mother was making a
bowl for her, and she sat down, her mouth watering at the smell. she settled down with the food,
gobbling it up quickly. her brother realized, and started a competition to see the fastest eater.

once the two of them finished their food, she curiously peered out the window. a train seemed
to have stopped near their vineyard, and he saw a man walking out with boxes. she looked
up as her mom walked over to him, pulling out a couple bottles of wine. they were probably
just the usual delivery man. she was surprised when her brother walked out, curiously
following him.

"where are you going?" she asked suspiciously, watching as he investigated the train. "don't
you want to do something more than just a vineyard emoployee?" he asked, changing the
subject. "what do you mean? we're just kids!" she retorted, watching him scramble to get
aboard the train. "come on! it'd be so exciting!" he prompted her, inviting her onto the
train. "no way, you weirdo! what would we even eat?" she asked, skeptical of her brother.
"we'll find something. just hop on!" he told her. she was overwhelmed- she really didn't
expect her brother to just run away, and want her to follow him! she shook her head.
"your loss." he sighed, giving up. she was glad when he decided it was useless to bug
her. "oh, but look at this cute cat on here!" he chuckled, and peggy hopped on quickly.

peggy turned around swiftly, hopping on the train. "where? where?" she begged, throwing her brother
aside. as she searched for the kitty, she jumped as she felt the train begin to move. "wait whats
happening?" she asked, beginning to panic as the train began to move forward. she looked over to her
brother who was laughing hysterically. "no, no, no, no!" she squeaked as the train began to migrate
away from her home. "russel, you're awful." she sobbed, sitting down in disappointment.

peggy yawned, sleepily raising her head. she had fallen asleep on a pile of hay, pieces of hay poking out of
her fur. at first she was confused to where she was, but she realized she was on the train as soon as she
felt the awful hard floor beneath her. "oooooh, were never going to find home." she pouted,
obviously disliking the fact they were stuck on a train in the middle of nowhere. her brother, on the
other hand, seemed estactic to be out of the vineyard. but she was scared and didn't know what to expect,
but there was nothing she could do now. she hopped to the edge of the train, looking out over the land.

peggy was awoken by her brother shaking her, and she realized the train was stopped. "peggy! peggy! let's go
get food!" he begged, stepping off of her as he noticed she was awake. "what? food?" she mumbled sleepily.
she numbly yawned, scooting over to the edge of the train. she looked out, and, sure as ever, they had
stopped at a small town.she hopped down, children and adults scurrying around the shops, holding
knickknacks and grocery bags. the smellof food made her mouth water, and she followed her brother into a
small store. he held a small bag of coins, and she was grateful they had money. she decided it would be
good to get as cheap food as possible, and then some canned food for when they're on the tracks. she looked
over to her brother who was stuffing his face with candy, and she instantly felt her blood turn cold.

"no, no! we need to get real food!" she squeaked, pulling him away from the sweets.
she calmed down, realizing he had only eaten a few gummy worms. "we need to get stuff like canned fruit."
she begged, pulling him to the canned food idle. she picked out enough cans, walking over to the counter.
she mumbled as she handed their own money, and took the fruit gratefully. they walked out of the store,
and she could obviously tell her brother was embarrassed. they walked over to another store, and she was
shocked when her brother handed her a notebook. "im sorry for wasting our money. this'll help pass the time.
i was saving up for a gameboy, but you're more important." he told her.
