hello!
this is a form for people who love snails!
snails can be both land or sea dwelling
creatures.snails are not amphibians,
but are in fact mollusks!they can be both
male ♂ and female ♀, but usually need
another snail to produce eggs.
i have become obsessed with snails lately,
and though i know this might not become
a popular thread it is worth a try. snails
usually aren't talked about unless they are
eating your garden, but they are magnificent
creatures; and are awesome to observe.

psa: if you see a snail in the wild, please leave it be. wild snails could have parasites and bacteria on them that are not healthy for humans. also they would probably prefer there outside home, to an inside one. however, if you do already have a snail please do not release it into the wild! that could cause great problems in your local eco system <3

Well, you are correct. Snails are absolutely awesome! When I was younger, I had a pet snail of my own named Shelly. She lived for 2 years in a large snail habitat, (yes they have those) and she was actually a very amazing creature to get close to. She knew when I would approach through the sound vibrations in my voice, and she'd always come out of her shell to say hi to me. She also had a preference of lettuce she liked to eat instead of her normal type. They're very interesting and I miss her very much. R.I.P. Shelly

ahh shelly sounded like an amazing snail! i plan on getting snails, unfortunately there are specific laws in the states that prohibit shipping snails over state lines. plus i really have had a hard time finding wild snails (i have not found any)

snails are very cool animals and only need very little attention. However, just like any pet they are still a responsibility c:. I believe snails are an awesome beginners pet, especially for children.
Unfortunately the only downside is that if you get more than one you have to take care of eggs, which can be hundreds a year.

unfortunately i have never seen an actual land snail! i live in the north eastern region of the us, which makes me surprised as to why i have never seen them. i have seen water snails, but that was only in pet stores ;.;.
for the longest time i wanted to get a giant African snail, because they are literally giant snails! unfortunately they are out lawed in the states (they tend to be ones able to mate without a partner), and snails do love there foliage.

It's rare to find land snails where I am, but we do have aquatic snails in a stream underneath a bridge that's only a few minute walk where I am.
It's really relaxing watching them just slowly slide across rocks. I think the snails are rabbit snails, cause they have appendages on their heads that kinda look like ears. But they always resemble a hippo to me and I don't know why.
People may think I'm weird for liking snails and finding them interesting, but hey it doesn't bother me

Snails are so cuuuuute. ;v; I live up in the northeast of the US too and the only time I've really seen snails were these teeny tiny ones on the milkweed plants while looking for caterpillars. I wish I could have some as a pet! (We have tons of slugs in the grass in the mornings, though, haha. So close.)
