jade aloe everette / ♀ / lesbian
named after the plant she was fused with and the scientist who gave her life, jade aloe everette is 19 years old and currently resides in an apartment complex in manhattan, nyc. jade was made in a lab by scientists, and she's known to be one of the most outstanding creations in scientific history. she's an optimistic extrovert who loves to make new friends and go new places. jade is very intelligent, dependable, and also very encouraging. she's fearless and faces her fears head on. jade is never afraid to try something new, she currently knows 3 different languages because of this; spanish, french, and american sign language. she is very creative and has a taste for all of the arts. jade is known to be a tad bit clumsy at times, as she once tripped on nothing. she's a very involved girl who has an account on every social media platform so she can see all of what's going on, such as drama and news.

june 17th 1998 →
today we've created a scientific masterpiece, we call her 'jade'. we took the genes of an aloe plant and grew them with cells of a kalon kit. her body is that of an aloe plant, view diagram attatched. (attached on the page is a diagram of an aloe plant.)
her blood, muscles and veins are replaced by what is called the 'inner leaf juice' of the aloe plant, but she still has bones. her skin is replaced by a thicker more shell-like aloe rind, yet it's covered in fur. she also has another layer before the 'inner leaf juice', it's the aloe latex. we don't know if she'll be okay on her own, but we've left her with dr. zeph for the night. tomorrow we will conduct some tests on her.

june 18th 1998 →
we found out that jade needed glasses because her vision wasn't the best. we also found out that she can re-grow limbs and skin like an aloe plant. we've given jade her first vaccine shots today. you'd usually need to have veins but with jade she can just absorb it through her 'inner leaf juice'. dr. zeph took jade outside for the first time, she enjoyed it. we have a full time 'nanny' to watch her now, so we don't have to worry anymore.

january 3rd 1999 →
jade can read, talk, and write now. for christmas she asked for books, which was what she received. we took her to the park today, she made some friends and played with them. she hurt herself today by tripping on the play structure, but it healed in no time. the other kids asked why her blood was clear and jelly like, but she just replied with "it's a health problem." the kids had no time agreeing with her and shrugged it off.

march 17th 1999 →
today jade started growing extra plants in her hair, chest, and tail. pulling these out hurt, since they're connected to her, so we have to just let them grow. hopefully the other kids don't think she's different.

it's jade's first birthday today. we celebrated by taking her to the local mall and took her shopping. she chose to buy books, hair bows, and a new pair of glasses.

it's my 18th birthday today, that means i can finally leave the lab and live on my own. i was looking and found a small apartment in new york that i liked, i'm moving in 13 days.

i had to say farewell to the scientists who have taken care of me for the past 17 years of my life. i've packed all of my belongings up, and took one last "family picture" with everyone, before saying one last goodbye and boarding my plane.
i later arrived in new york, i took a taxi to my new apartment. opening the doors to the main floor building i was greeted by the owner, she handed me the keys, told me the rules, and guided me up to my house. i opened the doors and looked around. it was pretty big, i had lots of space, and an awesome sky view. i was really happy, but homesick at the same time.

after a long night of unpacking, i decided to familiarize myself with the neighbourhood and city, so i decided to take a walk. i grabbed my keys and headed out. opening the main floor's doors i immediately saw an adorable café just across the street, and i was really hungry, so i stopped in for a bagel and coffee. walking through the doors i was hit with the strong scent of coffee and various teas. i had major anxiety ordering because the barista was really cute, but hey, i got what i wanted, coffee and a bagel. walking around afterwards was fun because i did lots of window shopping, and i did find a few shops that i'd really like to go in, but what i was dying to do was to go to times square. maybe tomorrow, i'm tired. i headed back home and unpacked a bit more, then fell asleep on the couch.

july 1st 2016 →
this morning i woke up and was greeted by my phone buzzing on the coffee table in front of me. *reminder: water plants*
oh no, how could i forget? feeling dreadful i ran over to the window which showcased my amazing collection of flowers and plants, some of which were almost half dead at this point. i ran to the kitchen sink and filled my small spray bottle and watering can with water, and ran back to the window and immediately started watering my half dead plants. luckily all of them survived, but i still felt like a horrible plant owner. with a sigh of relief i grabbed my shoes and headed out on my journey to times square.
on my way, i took lots of pictures. i saw some buildings covered in ivy that i found beautiful, some old cars, and a very cute dog. and then boom, i was there. the lights and billboards surrounding me, people moving at a fast pace, it's exactly what i imagined! i took so many pictures what my phone couldn't take any more. after a while i was getting hungry, so i decided to stop at a pizza restaurant down the block. as i was walking i met the barista from yesterday, the cute girl with blue eyes and blonde hair. before we both walked past each other, she made eye contact and said "hey? didn't i see you yesterday? at the café?" we both stopped and turned to face each other. "yes, we did actually! my name's jade." i replied as i went to go shake her hand. "mine's jess, nice to meet you!" she replied as we shook hands. "hey, i was going to go get some pizza, wanna join?" she nodded and replied with "yes" as we started walking together, talking about jobs and such. we soon arrived and got a small pepperoni pizza. we had a nice conversation until she asked where i came from. i told her i was made in a lab by scientists but she didn't believe me, until i had to prove it. i took a paper and sliced my arm, and out came oozing the white aloe juice. "woah" she said in amazement as her eyes went wide. "but i don't think you should hurt yourself..." she whispered as she rummaged through her purse to find a spare bandaid. she wrapped it around my finger. we exchanged numbers and snapchats as we said goodbye. i really like her, i think i love her?

june 17th 2017 →
i blow out the candles in front of me as jess and my friends cheer me on. i open my eyes to see my friends holding their phones recording and taking pictures of me, jess by my side. "happy 19th birthday jade! i love you so much!" she exclaims as she kisses my cheek. it was a night full of cake, wine, and fun. my girlfriend jess decided to surprise me that night with a surprise party, she invited all of my friends and decorated our apartment with streamers, banners, and balloons. she did a good job to be honest, i was impressed. after a while everyone started to leave, soon our apartment was empty. it was almost midnight, me and jess were chilling on the couch watching tv, when she handed me a small black bag. "open it" she insisted. i opened the bag and found a small black box inside. curiously, i pulled the box out of the bag and held it in my hand. "come on, open it!" she said as she grabbed her phone to take a picture. i open the little black box and inside is a small silver bracelet, inscribed on the charm read 'jade, i love you.'
my vision getting blurry, i wiped my eyes clear from the tears and hugged jess. "you didn't need to do that" i said. "yes, i did need to do that. you're my moon, sky, and all of my stars... or however that quote goes, but that's not the point." she replied as she took a deep breath. "i love you, jade aloe everette." she whispered as she kissed me. "i love you too." i replied. sooner or later we fell asleep on the couch, tv still on and the house a mess. but that didn't matter, because my birthday wish came true.
