Cupcakes, yes. They´re allowed. :)
About the other one, I´m pretty sure it should be fine too.

Question though, I know it says one cake or set of cupcakes, but are we able to make a stacked cake, or a cake with some cupcakes as accents? Just so that we really know our boundaries when we come up with exactly what we decide.

Yes, just make sure both usernames are next to the cake in the photos, and enter the cake only once.
Also, you might want to go ahead and decide who gets what if you end up placing.

My mum isn't at work early tomorrow, so I could ask her to help me a bit with the design ideas and baking. I would make it completely by myself but, even though I've made cakes before, I always forget how to make them. :p So I'd need her there to remind me. I'm starting to get a little bit concerned about my memory... XD
