Orchidstar slipped onto the leader's rock, somewhat proud to see that Gorseclan was one of the first arrivals. She quietly waited, taking the quiet moment to clean her fur.

Batwing hummed absentmindedly as he sat in the empty deputies's circle. Stretching out, Batwing put on a relaxed yet confident stance. He twitched his ears around, searching for any signs of an approaching clan.

Charredfern limped towards the medicine cat's area, eyes wide and grinning happily. He quickly curled up, tired from the long walk. It wasn't good for his three able legs, but he wouldn't miss the gathering for anything. Once recovered, he looked around, trying to put on his most friendly smile. Hopefully his.. battle-scarred state wouldn't scare too many away.

Blossomstep smiled when Willowdusk approached her. "I'm Blossomstep of Gorseclan!" She mewed, standing up to give her a brief greeting sniff. "Nice to meet you."
After a few moments of analyzing her, Blossomstep noticed the tired way she held herself, and the droop of the Briarclan warrior's eyelids. She asked, "How are things going with you? You seem rather tired."

It didn't take long for Forestclan to arrive and for Honeystar to join him on the Leaders Rock. "Hello Honeystar," He greeted the molly. "Well we were attacked by badgers so it hasn't been all that peaceful in Caveclan territory, unfortunately."

Looking up as the Forestclan deputy approached, Woolyfur gave a small mew of greeting. "As Morningstar is probably telling Honeystar, not great." The tom said. "We were attacked by badgers."

"I've been kept busy," Shadedleaf admitted when the tom approached. "Caveclan's definitely been better." The black molly blinked at the medicine cat quietly. "Morningstar will tell the clans during announcements but we were attacked by badgers." Shadedleaf closed her eyes for a moment, before adding, "They were driven out of course but they still managed to kill two of us."

The pair were most certainly not friends especially since Sedgetail's broken leg was causing some strife between them. With Harespring's protectiveness over his sister and Burrwhisker's adoration of the beautiful silver tabby, a quarrel or two was unavoidable. The only reason they were even together was because of Harespring's mistrust of the former Tumbleclan tom.

Rearing up onto his back legs, the silver tabby tom peered over the mob of cats anxiously. His littermates had better be there! This would be his first time in forever seeing them. "Mintpaw, relax! If they've joined a clan, they'll probably be here." Ashpaw told him. The approach of two apprentices interrupted the conversation and the pair looked curiously at them. "Hello! I'm Ashpaw and this is Mintpaw. We're from Caveclan." Ashpaw took charge of introductions. "I've been to a gathering before but this is my last as an apprentice. I'm going to be a warrior soon!" He said proudly. "And this is my first. At least my first with Caveclan." Mintpaw added, half paying attention to them and half searching for Specklepaw and Beetlepaw.

Cloudstar made his way up onto the leader's rock, he sat away from the others, not really in the mood to chat. He was sure he would say the wrong thing if he did because of what has happened back at camp. So many cats grieved over Starlingpaw's death, not to mention now there was a panic coming from Archpool about all the litters coming up. The medicine cat argued with the leader about postponing Owlpaw's warrior training and start her on healing knowledge but Cloudstar refused. The leader was just in a foul mood and was a ticking time bomb at the moment.

"I am sorry to hear that. We have some problems with rouges and we lost an apprentice to them. They seem to be pesky though and we have not chased them out but they also don't seem to be trespassing a lot." Archpool frowned. "Not to mention I just examined three mollies and confirmed that they are expecting kits, so I will have my paws full and not a single wink of sleep." he muttered.

"On the plus side, Starclan has given me a dream to take an apprentice but Cloudstar is of course being difficult about this and demands they go through warrior training first." The Bengal tom rolled his eyes.

Sagestorm smirked as he entered the clearing, the last time he was here he managed to start a fight with an airhead tom. Now he came here as a step in deputy for Bouldershade as Cloudstar demanded he get some rest, all apart of Sagestorm's plan; he was the one to suggest it anyways. The grey tabby tom made his way towards the deputies area, malice in his eyes before he pushed a few cats aside and sat smack in the middle of all the collected deputies. Not bothering to say a simple excuse me or sorry to any cat he touched. A smug smile spread across his face as he stared at a few cats, tonight he planned on listening. He wanted to find the largest clan in the forest, one day he would declare war with them and prove that Briarclan is the strongest.

It wasn't until he was comfortable that he felt something press against him and shiver, when he looked down he saw his scared apprentice. "Go away Owlpaw! I told you to not get in my way!" he hissed at the molly. She just looked at him with wide eyes and he shoved her away. "I said get lost!" he spat quietly, swatting her and causing a few scratches as she ran away from the deputy area.

Rabbitheart watched as Sagestorm took his spot on the deputies rock and strike at Owlpaw. The tom felt bad and worried for the little apprentice but didn't dare go against Sagestorm. For now he just watched, quietly and not paying attention to who was around him.

The molly stayed near Rabbitheart, just as quiet as he was. She had only been to the gathering once and didn't feel it was so great. To her they were boring and she wished she could be back at camp, playing with her new siblings.

"Its nothing I can't handle. Since the loss of an apprentice we have stepped up patrols and camp watches but we will manage." Willowdusk meowed to the molly.

"Our elder, Resinmoon, has even been muttering something about kit-fever back at camp and I think I found out what that might be." Willowdusk chuckled as she tried to change the subject.

Lambpaw lost sight of both his mentor and his sister but he didn't seem bothered about it any, as long as he could see Cloudstar up on the leader's rock he knew his clan was still here. The small white Persian tom walked around the clearing in awe as he took in all the new sights and smells of the area. He even took in some of the new scents and was amazed that so many cats came here.

After being harshly hit by her mentor and shooed away Owlpaw found a nice and quiet spot away from just about every cat. She hid in the bushes the best she could but knew that her wound would attract some cat to her, but she was to frightened to move to clean it. The super shy cat was frozen in place as she watched the gathering in front of her, her eyes darted through the crowd of cats, looking for a familiar pelt but had no luck with finding any.

Jinxstar led his clan into the gathering space, quickly trotting over to the leaders perch and jumping up. He looked at who had gathered and wondered who to talk to first.

Willowbolt quickly trotted over to where the rest of the deputies were, looking for Rowanpelt so that she could tell him that his kits were apprentices now. She noted that Sagestrom, not Bouldershade, was sitting with them; that worried her greatly. She remembered the scene he had caused at the last gathering, and was worried about whether or not he would try again. Only, this time, it would be worse.

Ashleaf walked over to the rest of the medicine cats, feeling a bit more comfortable this time.

Blackmouth took a seat in a corner and looked around, taking in what she saw. Sagestorm was sitting with the rest of the deputies, instead of Bouldershade, and she smiled at the thought of him rising through the ranks so quickly with the scene he made last time.

Tux kept his two kits close, looking around for Lambpaw and Owlpaw. He knew that they would be apprentices by now, and he wanted to see them and introduce them to the rest of their family.

Honeystar's tail lashed in surprise and anger. Attacked by badgers? Well that explained the smells she had found alongside the border. "Was a patrol attacked or did they find your camp?" she asked. Even before Morningstar spoke, she suspected that they had found the camp. "And were there any...casualties?" She was hesitant to speak the word for a moment, but she felt as though she had to ask.

Birchnose hissed. "Was your camp attacked? How could badgers find your camp? Is your clan alright?"

Crowcloud finished his grooming and looked up, spotting a three-legged tom limping towards the medicine cats. His ears flicked with surprise; this cat looked more like a warrior than medicine cat. He stood and walked over to the other tom, hoping to start a conversation.

"Hi," said Crowcloud. "I'm Crowcloud of Forestclan. And you are?"

Dustleaf left Crowcloud to mingle with the medicine cats, most of whom seemed to be in their own conversations. She wandered around the crowd for a bit before scenting the familiar smell of blood. She wrinkled her nose in surprise. Why was someone injured at a Gathering? She looked around, trying to determine where the scent was coming from. Finally, she decided on a direction and followed the trail to an isolated area of the Gathering where a young molly (apprentice, maybe?) crouched, frozen in fear.

Dustleaf approached the molly slowly, hoping not to come off as too dangerous, and sat down a couple of tail-lengths away. "Hello," she said kindly and quietly. "I'm Dustleaf, medicine cat of Forestclan. What's your name?"

Applenose glanced around the crowd, not seeing many familiar faces. He finally chose to walk over to a tom who looked worried. About what? he thought to himself. A moment later he saw the molly. Well, the more the merrier.

"Hello," Applenose said in greeting, with a little nod. "I'm Applenose of Forestclan. I don't think we've met?"

Daisywhisker padded over to a cat from an unknown clan, wondering what he should say. He hadn't been to many Gatherings before, and had been with Briarwhisker the last time. He decided to start with a simple introduction. "Hello," he mumbled. "I-I'm Daisywhisker of Forestclan."

"Oh!" said Tippaw softly, glancing at Brightpaw with excitement in her eyes. Caveclan was on their southern border--and they were allies, too!

"What do you mean, 'first with Caveclan?'" asked Brightpaw. "Were you from somewhere else originally? My littermates and I were born into Forestclan but we've got a bunch of cats who came from outside the clans." Tippaw tried to hide her smile. Her brother was so inquisitive!

Morningstar blinked sorrowfully at her. "They found the camp. Maplekit and Ebonywing were killed." The orange tabby closed his eyes, letting grief wash over him for a moment or two. "That's not all. One of my warriors was on patrol during the attack and she came back telling me some odd news. Among the badger scent, she found Leafclan scent. When I took some of my senior warriors to investigate, she was telling the truth. Leafclan must've had something to do with the attack."

Woolyfur nodded quietly. "I don't know how they found the camp. And even though they did, our scent is strongest there. It should've discouraged them from coming anywhere near." The deputy told her. "Only Maplekit and Ebonywing died but it could've been much worse." His gaze flicked to Morningstar a moment and flicked back to Birchnose. He wouldn't tell her anything about Leafclan, thinking that would be Honeystar's job if she believed Morningstar.

Shadedleaf blinked sympathetically at him. "We've not had to deal with rogues but I've been in a similar situation with the two queens who kitted around a moon ago. They've been keeping everyone busy." Sadness welled as she thought of Maplekit. He'd no longer be able to run and play with his living siblings. "One of the kits, Splashkit, has shown a bit of interest in the medicine den but it's too early to tell if she'll end up our apprentice."
The medicine cat sighed, "Cloudstar does understand that you'll teach him or her everything necessary? That the apprentice doesn't need a warrior mentor?"

He opened his jaws to say that but just as soon, closed his jaws. They wouldn't understand. They'd always been Forestclan and hadn't gone through what he had. Only the cats who'd joined from other clans would understand. "Uh yeah, sure..." He trailed off awkwardly and Ashpaw soon spoke, glancing curiously at Mintpaw. "So um how do you two like being apprentices?"

Tux noted that a medicine cat was away from the rest of the group, so he thought that might be a place to start. When he approached, though, he saw a small apprentice under a bush. He would know the looks of the cat from anywhere, and his heart skipped a beat when he saw the little kit.

"Can I help?" he said in a tight voice.

Charredfern raised his tail cheerfully as the black tom approached. "Hi! It's great to meet you, Crowcloud." He jumped to his paws with an almost childish enthusiasm. "I'm Charredfern, the medicine cat of Gorseclan! I hope you are doing well today.."

"Well, I'm sorry for your clan's loss.." She murmured, frowning slightly at the thought. Death was always hard, but the loss of a young cat was all the more troubling.
When Willowdusk switched the subject, she was quick to latch onto it. "Oho, what might it be, hmm?" She smirked, ears pricked curiously.

When the StemClan leader spoke to her, Emberstar quickly produced a fake smile to hide her uneasiness. "Oh..." she sighed at Powderstar's question, "I wasn't able to be here a moon ago to announce it, but we lost two warriors - one was my mate - to the floods. Then I ran into a couple of badgers which cost myself three lives," she trailed off, her gaze turning toward the ground. "No, things haven't been faring well, but I hope StemClan is quite the opposite?" As she posed the query, she glanced around at the growing group of leaders. She felt her stomach churn at the sight of Morningstar and Honeystar. Hopefully nothing would happen....

With quite the air of arrogance about her, the silver tabby padded through the crowd to where the deputies gathered and seated herself near the edge of the group. She listened to conversations for a little while, throwing a glare at the CaveClan and ForestClan deputies, before deciding to join in. "Hello," she mewed to a tom nearby. "I'm Frigidrose, the new deputy of LeafClan. You are?"
