I made another sig! (I did have to ask for help on one part, but afterwards I got the hang of it.) I'll end up giving it away, but for now I'm keeping it on because I'm proud of it, haha.

@FreshCookies, that's a really great practice/beginner signature! it seems as if you have the whole column thing with left/right/center down, which is really useful. those column codes are the whole basis of coding, and after that, the only thing you need to do is spice it up a little and find your own style. i'd say you're on a great track. if you're looking for some critique, i'll just write out my concerns here. see, what i don't "really" like are the images mostly. if it's a custom signature, then you should try aiming for really high quality images as they can bring down the overall theme of it a lot. i can understand if it's a customer order, though. i also don't quite like ▒▒ bars, but this is only a visual preference of mine - i usually use the more open spaced ones. see, what i find really interesting is the way you formatted the middle column with those ▀▀▀ bars. i've actually never seen anyone do it that way? it looks cool though. i also noticed that you have a lot of symmetry going on, but i find that in coding a lot of symmetry makes it seem too "basic", although it is a very good starting point to get a hang of column codes as i stated before. maybe when you're more experienced you can start striving for more difficult layouts. you could have also included more color in there - maybe some of the green from the rasberries and light purple. i usually use this website to figure out my color schemes.

It's wonderful that you asked for help! You should always ask for help if there's something that you don't understand or just can't get to work; a lot of us still ask others for help because we are all always learning.
Wow, that looks great for a beginner coder! I agree with leda in that it could use a bit more of a color scheme as you are currently only working with two colors outside of the images, but I think they work really well together nonetheless. And this may be a screen-to-screen thing, but I find myself seeing a lot of empty space within your signature that you could potentially sill up with other things like text, images, dingbats, etc. Also, and this is more of a me thing and not something everyone does, but I think if you worked with more of a variety of fonts, it could bring out certain words (not that your use of fonts does not already do that job) and add some more texture.
It looks like you're on a roll with columns, though! It's generally a good thing to work with columns, though I know not everybody does for simpler signatures. And I am willing to bet you already read this in the tutorial, but if you want to experiment more with columns, there are multiple methods with which to make them. Happy coding!

Thanks for the critiques! I know I didn't directly ask for it, but I really like getting feedback from more experienced coders. It lets me know what I can improve on in terms of design. Hopefully I can develop a style of my own..

The images I used were pretty large to begin with, so the quality did drop when I resized it (I didn't realize it dropped that much though). I'll try to see what I can do with that aspect.

I'll definitely work on color schemes and dabble with more fonts.

I'm still Not Really in the habit of giving signature comments since I'm a woman of laziness principle and it's been four very long pages since I've last posted but I guess I can redundantly answer some questions before I disappear again and return in a month to repeat the cycle

I used to come up with them on the spot or incorporate ideas I sorta absorb through osmosis/think about while I'm out running errands (because I have so few concerns that this god-forsaken website & graphic design related to it has a monopoly on my thoughts), but now that I have a tablet I'm in the habit of sketching them out and then desperately trying to make them work within the limitations of my coding skill. Sometimes I have to bump things around, sometimes I don't, but somehow I'm more satisfied with how some layouts turn out when forced into the slightly constrictive coding system than when I just flat-out image edit, as with this gross mess I threw together for my Transformice forum profile (which has no columnar options at all, just basic alignments and a really awkward sizing system) a couple weeks ago

Uhhh basically see my blurb to Bee @ the bottom of this post but adapt it to thinking of a theme. It might help if you actually posted the palette you had in mind but basically yeah immersing yourself in things you're interested in (even if it's just your pinkie finger) is really the only way you're gonna think of a theme familia there's no way around it ahaha

Coding-wise? A few months at most, probably; I get burnout really easily but I usually force myself to work through the pain because I get bored of my signatures just as fast and can't sit still

I've lost count of how many times I've personally answered this question and it usually boils down to looking at other peoples' creations and waiting. Songs, anime, television shows, moodboards, generic aesthetic tumblr posts, photography, books, paintings/drawings, amateur writing, music/picture/promotional videos - hell, even memes if you're not averse to making slightly silly signatures. While it's different from person to person, inspiration tends to come from the fruits of other peoples'... and not to sound rude or harsh, but you're not going to get it by asking a several-times repeated question in a fanclub and being responded to with the same old beaten answers
