Alex surfaced and rolled his eyes at all the flirting. He shook his black hair out and swam to the right, going down the beach. He decided he was content where there were surfers and got out of the water, sittig in the sand and watching them. Alex wasn't much for surfing, he just couldn't see himself doing that. He saw a girl and a boy, probably apologizing for...something

[Nostalgia]

The cool, light breeze of the morning delicately woke up the young girl about nine. She opened her eyes, greeting the pleasantly warm sunlight with a smile. She propped herself up one elbow and shook out her hair a little, her duvet falling off her arms and exposing the pale skin of her shoulders to the air. She shivered slightly and hopped out of bed, ignoring the temperature of the room and quickly getting into the shower. When she walked out of the bathroom again, she was fully dressed in a white tube top with pink hibiscus prints on the side and shorts with a bikini underneath. She ate breakfast, enjoying the smell of coffee slowly drifting around her kitchen. When she finally satiated her hunger, pulled on her running shoes and got out of the door, it was nearing midday and the weather was wonderful.

Quickly tying her hair in a ponytail, Maggie started to run, keeping an even speed until she reached the beach. She wiped the beads of sweat off her forehead and took off her outer clothes so she could go into the water. Leaving them in a neat pile on the sand, along with her shoes, she headed towards the beautiful azure water, enjoying the way the warm sand curled around her toes. When she reached the sea and the water started lapping against her feet, a boy about her age crashed near her with his surfboard. As soon as she realised what had happened, the girl started sprinting to him, but by the time she reached him and the victim of the accident, Gina, they were already out of the water and talking. She stopped next to them with a slight smile, a little out of breath from running the whole morning. "Hi. Are you two alright?" she asked, just in case.

Alex looked up, hearing the accent. Of course, it wasn't voiced towards him. He looked at the pretty blonde, and then decided she was way to...Preppy. Way to happy for him. Damn, I am so goth... he thought with a small laugh

Gina stepped out of the water as her feet padded against the wet sand underneath her feet. Small pools of water formed under them as she walked. Looking over his board once more she smiled and offered a hand out to him "Gina" she said as she used her other hand to wrap it around her stomach. The sudden gust of air chilled her body for a moment before small goosebump boiled up on her skin. She caught glimpses of his irish accent and couldn't help but adore it. "And what might yours be?" she managed to ask before another female ran up suddenly concerned about their safety. "Yeah, we're fine I'd say. We both came out alive" she said with a smile gliding her emerald eyes in her direction. Pluto barked loudly as he leapt at the waves making his way to the shore before charging at Gina. Rubbing his body against her legs she smiled again and pet the top of his head before his body arched downward with a wagging tail of excitment. Obviously wanting to play with the new strangers.

"Bit of a shame, really. But at least I don't have to avenge your deaths now." laughed Maggie, crouching as soon as the dog ran up to greet them. She clicked her tounge, calling him to her in a way, and extended her hand slightly to try and stroke him, if he didn't mind. "Beautiful dog. But, this isn't right. I haven't even told you two my name, have I?" the girl grinned, glancing at the pair next to her. "I'm Maggie Grace. Born in Poland, spent half of my life in Australia, hence the accent, then moved here." she introduced herself quickly, her eyes sparkling as she looked down at the girl's dog again.

Alex stood and dusted himself off. he sighedc and looked at both the girls and the boy. Deciding they prbably weren't the type of peolpe wo would enjoy him, he staryed walking towards where he left his clothes and iPod

"Name's Caleb," The teenager introduced himself just as another girl ran up to he and Gina. He nodded at Maggie. "Australia? Cool. I'm from Ireland," He noted with a light nod of his head and a smile. Beautiful women seemed to grow on palm trees in America. It was a wonder Caleb was still single. Other than the fact he was always busy practicing for swim meets and doing school work, Caleb should have no problem meeting someone. Right? "Do either of you surf?" He asked lamely, not quite sure what to talk about. He didn't know the local attractions or sports, so therefore he was unprepared for a conversation.

Alex put the iPod buds in his ears and turned on Just Tonight. He loved the song, and was attracted to taylor Momsen in that pathetic "celibrity crush" way. he sighed and watched the video, loving the way she'd dip the roses in the paint. He wished he had a music video as successful as The Pretty Reckless. He was the same age. Did that mean something? Alex sighed and shook his head, realinzing he walked back over to where he was before. He didn;t care, he simply sat back down and started the video over

Gina pulled her other hand in to wrap it around her waiste with the other. "Pleasure to meet both of you" she had said gracing them with a smile. She stood as she listened to them both talk about their orgins and place of birth. Her's was not nearly as exciting as their and decided to back out of that part of the conversation. Bundling her hair onto one side of her shoulder she gave it a good squeeze causing the water to run out of her hair and slick down her side before it hit the sand chaning it to a darker tone. "Never learned how" she admittingly said. Gina had always thought about attempting to learn but never followed through. She was about to mention that she was planning to head to the lighthouse before night fall. The wild manatees always gathered there in large pods. She also enjoyed watching the stars as they peeked out with the flashes of light beaming over the water from the lighthouse above, but she decided against it think it would only be something she herself would enjoy. Who eles woudl take enjoyment in that other than herself?
