Badgerstem sniffed around, smelling vole.
She looked around, and saw it nibbling on some seeds.
Without warning, she pounced and landed on the vole, squishing it.
"Heh, I don't know why Nightclan thought being a rouge was so hard!" Badgerstem chuckled to herself

The clan was collectively winding down though he could still feel the undercurrent of tension vibrating through the assembled. It was worrying but nothing that could be addressed now without igniting another argument or creating another bitter spat. That said, the tom decided ignoring it was the lesser of the two evils and simply nodded to Nightstar as he stalked towards the entrance purposefully until Doveflight called out to him. “I… suppose. Just as long as you don’t attack her unless she makes herself an immediate threat.” Even if he sorely wished to see her gone for good, thus erasing a future problem, Kestrelwind could never justify the outright murder of another cat.

Oblivious Ottersplash was out in the forest, far away from the turmoil ravaging the camp. Like a good little warrior he was out hunting, searching the coppice for prey to bring back with him and he’d been moderately successful all things considered. While the day hadn’t begun quite as fruitful – having missed three out of his six targets and running afoul on a nest, the tomcat was surprisingly not discouraged by his repeated failures. His persistence had even paid off! His mouth was stretched as wide as it could go as he carted off his vole and two mice, but most importantly was this egg he’d managed to get from that aforementioned nest from earlier! Though he hadn’t quite yet figured out how he was going to carry it back without breaking it.

Her ears perked up when he spoke. "Thank you!" She padded after him. "I wonder what made Badgerstem do that to Nightstar. " She flattened her ears. "Even though it's embarrassing to admit it, I feel like you, Maplebreeze, and Silverdusk are the only mature ones in this clan anymore. You stepped up and took action. I just.. made the situation worse." She redirected her gaze to the forest.

Nightstar had believed there was loyalty in her warriors, she must have been wrong. leafkit was missing, badgerstem was exiled, it wasn't a normal morning like she thought, the dawn patrol wasn't out. and badgerstem had sworn to hurt the clan. this morning couldn't be worse.

The young medicine cat apprentice rolled over in his bedding, a drop of morning dew dripping onto his nose. He sighed, feeling the vibrations of his clan waking up. The deaf tom slowly rolled over, enjoying his last few moments of sleep, before finally getting up, and sorting through his herb stocks. The bright, fresh smell of the herbs wafted over his nose. He seemed to be the only cat in the clan who thought so, though. "Yuck," He muttered, tossing some moldy berries over his shoulder. "Well, lets see... I need more juniper berries, and poppy seeds." He mumbled to himself, making a mental note before he left in to the steadily brightening camp. He was sure the clan would be babbling...If he could hear them. He brushed his way through, his mouthful of dry moss for the elders almost falling when he slipped through the dewy grass. He arrived at the elder's den, and greeted them with a dip of his head, his mouth was busy spitting out the bits of moss stuck on his tongue. What is going on out there? He wondered, as he noticed most the clan leaving. Being deaf, he had no idea a meeting had been called, and was just trying to help out the elders. He was completely oblivious to the chaos outside.

He shifted around restlessly, feeling uncomfortable in his bedding. He accidentally bumped into another cat, and decided to leave the den. Oh, well... Once I'm up, I'm up! He thought, tiredly. He began to look around for NightStar, to see how she was doing this morning. He sat through the gathering, yawning a bit here and there, he hadn't slept well. As BadgerStem challenged his mate, a low growl rumbled in his throat. He didn't move, watching the two fight. "No! I will never respect you as a leader, nor call you by a false name, BADGERDUNG!" HE hissed. "StarClan would never let you become leader, let alone receive nine lives!" He flung himself onto her, raking his claws down her side. He licked her ear comfortingly. "I'm sure he won't be able to come back... NightClan is stronger than a piece of Fox-Dung like that." He purred softly, trying to soothe her.

"Watch it!" She hissed in annoyance as SplashHeart rolled into her. Now awoken, she too left the den. Grumpily, she dtood up to go to the "Clan meeting." She began to worry when she mentioned LeafKit's dissapearance, and quickly left camp. She knew it was her fault LeafKit was missing. Earlier that day LeafKit had asked to play, so she decided to take her out of camp. LeafKit had probably gotten lost on the way back. She wanted to exclaim it wasn't true, as cats began to accuse SilverDusk, but wasn't sure she wanted to take the blame, so remained silent. She snuck out of camp, immediately trying to find the young kit. "LeafKit! LeafKit! Where are you?" She yowled, hoping for a response.

Storm stalked angrily just outside the clan's border. Why was it fair that they owned the whole forest? Got to eat all the prey? Chased you out if you got too close? He grumbled on, barely noticing the small mouse that practically tripped over his paws.

"It was horrific, and Badgerstem was exiled!" She mewed. "It's always sad to see cats go, but if you were exiled I would so come with you!" She smiled warmly. She knew Rainpaw couldn't hear her, but she always liked keeping him company.

He looked around camp. Everyone still seemed unsettled by what happened. He licked his shoulder and walked into the medicine den. He bumped into Cometpaw who was rambling away. "Sorry, Cometpaw." He looked at Rainpaw.

(I just realized, if rainpaw is deaf, how are they supposed to tell him what's wrong? xD)

Shadowhop felt nervousness make her fur prickle as Badgerstem left. That she-cat was up to no good. Leaning close to Nightstar Shadowhop spoke softly. "I'll send out patrols. You should rest. You need time to recover." Standing tall she looked over the clan. There was no need to call since they were all watching her anyways. "Smokedpelt Splasheart and Cometpaw. Go hunting, we need to fill up the fresh kill pile." Swinging her head she looked around at who was left. "Icegaze Eaglepaw and Bearpaw. Come with me for Dawn patrol." Her eyes narrowed angrily. "And while we are out there we'll make sure Badgerstem has left the territory." There had already been enough cats who left looking for Leafkit before. She hoped they found the kit before Badgerstem did.

He watched as Dawnpelt padded towards him. "Yes, we did find her, but she is hurt. She said something about rouges taking her as well." He hissed

Iciclegaze nodded and waited in front of Shadowhop. "Badgerstem is not that smart to challenge a leader in such a manner." He flicked his ears.

Ledgewing yawned and stretched. He had slept in and he hoped that nothing important had happened while he was snoozing. He got up and walked out and noticed everything seemed to be the same, except Dawnpelt, Silverdusk, Maplebreeze, and Badgerstem were gone. He thought that they were just sent out of patrol until he saw Shadowhop assigning patrols. "Hm." He sat and wrapped his tail neatly over his paws.

Cometpaw was upset that she had to go on patrol. She didn't want to leave Rainpaw. "Sorry Rainpaw! Gotta go!" She flicked her tail and walked out. She looked around until she spotted Smokedpelt and ran after him.
