It's hard not to take that in a weirder way, honestly.

In first grade, I shoved all my schoolwork into my desk so I wouldn't have to do it. When the teacher wrote a note to send home, I just threw it away. She never asked about it again.

Dayum in my class if we didn't do our school work, we'd get extra work, and if we didn't do that, we got more work, a note that our parents had to sign, and we had to stay in during recess. Terrifying, really.
