deep in the florida everglades lives a clan called ospreyclan. they are a clan that has gone through a lot and are in constant danger from snapping turtles, alligators and the invasive pythons. this hard life style has forced this clan to evolve to be great fighters, swimmers and, of course, fast runners. they have been through a lot but as the loom threat of a hurricane comes way how will they react?

caimanstar was breathing heavily as he awoke from his nightmare. he had been in the sawgrass, wading in the water and hunting for fish when he was suddenly grabbed by an alligator and lost all of his remaining lives at once. he took a deep breath and sheathed his claws as he walked out of his den. he needed something to eat.

sirenpaw had been awake for a while but had been pretending to sleep while she thought about training. she was so excited about training that she couldn't sleep. she loved to train only because it meant she was closer to becoming a warrior. once people were starting to rise from their sleep she did as well.

"flicker, i brought food," she said in a muffled voice through the egret's feathers.

Petalflower is eating a fish from the fresh-kill pile, savoring the delicious taste. She scans the clearing, seeing whose up and about this morning.

Spiderpaw woke up, his blue gaze reflecting how tired he was. He had trouble sleeping last night and right now that was taking its toll, but he knew he needed to get up. After a few more moments he sat up and began to groom his fur, trying to make sure it looked neat. Once he was finished he got to his paws and arched his back in a stretch, trying to wake himself up."Im ready to go now!"he chirped, now full awake despite his loss of sleep."Hi Geckoclaw!"he called to his mentor, padding over to the tom."What are we doing today?"

Ivysong sat in the shade, muttering under her breath. Her fur was thicker then she liked, meaning she easily got overheated. It was a pain and she knew that it could cause some real trouble. If she had a heat stroke then this fur certainly wouldn't help, thats why she preferred to swim from time to time. It was dangerous, as there were predators, but she usually stayed to the shallows. She just hoped that wouldn't cause her death, all because she was stuck with long fur.

Adderstrike sat in the clearing, not that far off from the nursery. His green gaze scanned the clearing, trying to spot who was up and about. Right now he was debating if he should visit Dolphinshade, to make sure she was okay. A warrior had probably already visited her, as the queens were important to the clan, but he still felt she might enjoy the company.

Aspenfur sat in the shade, not far off from Ivysong. Right now his thoughts were on patrols, such as hunting. Ospreyclan was growing, and with more kits on the way he knew prey would be essential. He knew he could take his apprentice, silverpaw, out to hunt, but he decided he could wait a moment. He wanted to make sure Silverpaw was awake, but if the tom took to long then he would fetch his apprentice himself.

Cloudpaw was in his nest, clearly awake. He had been awake for a little while now, but he had yet to get up. Now he decided he wanted to get up and his purple and green gaze scanning the den. He wanted to talk to his sister, Egretpaw, or Echopaw before he left. He was an outgoing tom, known to be full of energy. There was only one cat he was shy around, but he couldn't go training with them. He shook his head, pushing the thought aside.

Lilythroat yawned as she stood up from her nest, shaking bits of her bedding out of her fur. She squinted against the sunlight, blearily looking out across the camp from the entrance of the warrior den. She hummed as she thought about her apprentice, wondering if he was going to wake up soon. Not that she was in a rush -- she enjoyed lazy mornings just like everyone else.

Sootpaw grumbled as he sleepily stumbled out into the camp. Agitation pricked at his skin as he groomed bits and pieces of his fur down. He hated grooming, he was fine with just looking like a big furball. But he knew that Lilythroat would scold him for it; sometimes it felt like she was more like his mom than his sister. The thought made his heart ache, and he narrowed his eyes in response. His mother's death was still an open wound for him, even moons later.

"good morning, petalflower. lovely day, isn't it?" he purred. he was very flirty, pretty much with any she-cat and sometimes toms as well. he was ready to move onto his next mate, though he did feel a bit bad leaving dolphinshade while she was expecting kits.

"i thought we would practice hunting in the sawgrass today, since we wouldn't have to travel far," he said to him. he stood up and flicked this tail, motioning for spiderpaw to follow him.
