Jace chuckled, "Yeah probably." He lifted his hand and snapped like in those movies where when the guy snaps his hand catchs hold of a ball of fire. His hand shot out sparks then it flickered brightly into life. The flames lit up ten feet around them casting sinster shadows on the ground.

Melya jumped a little. "Better." She said.

Jace watched the fire for a moment, it reflecting in his calm blue eyes. Then he looked up at Melya with the smile you expect to see on an insane person not a cute guy, "Better?"

Melya shrieked a little and jumped back. She hated fire ever since her friend died in a fire at her old school and she nearly got burnt.
