"You been thinking of any names for it? If we can keep it," he asked, leading Kodi outside and over to the vets.

Gideon;
"I guess," he text back, before running a clawed hand through his hair. "Heard anything about the cat yet?" Gideon added, changing the subject.

"I am thinking maybe Rory?" Kodi spoke as he walked beside him. He hummed as they walked into the vet's office and waited.

"No, not yet. Isaac and I are just waiting in the van for Kodi and Jachin to return with news.* Dmitri texted him.

Jackal;
Jachin nodded. "That's cute," he smiled, sitting down on one of the chairs in the waiting room and gently tugging on Kodi's hand to pull him down to the seat beside him.

Gideon;
"You'll have to send me a photo of that cat too," Gideon answered, moving so that he was laying on his back, head propped up on the arm of the couch.

Kodi waited and waited until soon the vet came out with the kitty. He explained that he wanted them to see it before his actual owner came to pick him up. Kodi's face dropped.

"I will if they return with him." Dmitri texted.

Jackal;
"Aw, I'm sorry Kodi," he said gently, seeing Kodi's expression. "We could always go to a shelter and adopt a different cat," he suggested.

Gideon;
Gideon was quiet for a few minutes, eventually texting back, "You got any pets?"

Kodi looked at Jachin. "No, it's ok. I have Bumble..." He spoke softly. He thanked the veterinarian and left with Jachin.
"Nope" Dmitri texted him.

Jackal;
Jachin wrapped an arm around Kodi as they walked, trying to comfort him. Once they got to the van, he held the door open for him so he could get in first. "The owner's coming for him," he told the others once they were inside.

"I am sure another kitty will pop up." Isaac spoke as he began to drive. Kodi sat quietly petting Bumble who purred and tried to cheer him up.

"Yeah," Jachin nodded at Isaac, before moving to sit next to Kodi. "At least you got to help him, yeah?" he said softly, before kissing Kodi's cheek.

Kodi nodded. "Yeah, that is the only good part of this all." He spoke softly as he looked at him, kissing his cheek back.
