You can rest easy Vixey, I've actually never seen Watership Down.

thank goodness!! they are very pretty! I'm going to definitely need a set, as soon as I can manage!

LOL! Watership Down was the first thing I thought of as well. Not sure why.
I adore that movie. One of my childhood favorites.
I have a Velveteen Lop named Cowslip after a rabbit from that story.
Anyway... Love the new store pets because of the bunnies.
Now to think of names. I can probably only manage the one set I have. No cash for extras which makes these even more special.

Once upon time, last week, I asked if we needed any pets and Tess said we didn't have store pets yet. Everyone lived happily ever after, the end.

The bunnies/jackalope don't mean anything. When I drew the first one I knew it needed something more. Added a bunny and thought I'd add a different animal on each outcome but I ended up liking the first bunny too much. Yeah, I am not a deep person.

Also I have no idea where Wyoming is. I live in Singapore XD

Btw, I've read through the whole thread. Thanks for all the nice comments! I didn't think they'd be this well received since they're duller than my other pets.

I'm crying.

Here I was thinking that they told the story of a small, meek little rabbit on a dangerous but mystical quest to find not only his new home, but a stronger purpose in life by traversing difficult physical and emotional obstacles over the course of several seasons until finally he reaches his goal, ultimately becoming a stronger and more esoterically-souled being himself {jackalope} due to the trials he has endured.

But reading that the rabbits don't actually mean a thing, and that the pets were done in a rather "spur of the moment" style is good too.

It really saddens me the the movie is the first thing that pops into people's heads. The book is a classic and so, so, so much better.

Personally I don't care for the store pets. The odd eye edits and half smile which I diplore on all on them cements that I won't be buying a set myself-

But I do get the Watership Down connection.

The new store pets are not really a my cup of tea, but even if they were I couldnt buy them so problem solved ..I do like how detailed the linework is.

They're not really mine either, but I absolutely love their detail!

Honestly I just adore the colors on this month's cats... I kind of want to hoard them all now

I was thinking along the same line as you were. The story behind these made me laugh, and the bunnies... what's not to love? I have 2 sets and hope to get more!

Gotta remember, I was two the first time I saw the movie...
A bit too young for reading... Movie was out about 4 years at the time I now know...

It's such an ingrained obsessive part of my early childhood I probably wouldn't like the book.
