"I am known as Bluefire because of this mark on my paw,"Bluestar started with the easiest question first "but also to distinguish me from other leaders with the same first part of my name. If you where to join my clan I would expect you to call me Bluestar." Bluestar took a breath "A clan of cats is like a pack for a wolf. We protect each other. The difference is instead of only the leader having kits, anyone can. Except the tomcats thought" Bluestar chuckled at her little joke. "You would want to join for many things. It all depends on you though." Bluestar nodded at the other cat. "Now what is your name?"

"Oh!" Sandstrike tried to remember. Finally she gave up. "I.. forgot" She said in a small voice. "Oh wait!" She said "I remember now! Sandstrike!" She beamed. "My owner was obsessed with these books see? About cats with names like mine, and, YOURS?"

Bluestar raised an eyebrow. "How interesting. Well? Will you join and make our clan three?"

Sandstrike dipped her head sheepishly. "I'll try it out. I'm no fumble claws, that's for sure!"

Bluestar smiled. "Well then. Now that you decided that you would like to join, why should I let you? What can you give that benefits me?" She lend back looking like that she had decided to deny Sandstike entrance to the clan.

[Kanaria]

Sandstrike started. "What can? What can I do?" She scoffed. "What can't I do is a better question. But scene you asked, I can blind any thing that sees. I can kill with a pawfull, this you wouldn't believe, a pawfull of sand ten fox lengths away! I can use it to protect as well! Need to move in broad daylight a huge group of cats? I'm the one to ask!" Sandstrike started to rhyme alittle "For shame it is all the same! Please! What can I do indeed! humph!" She concluded.

Bluestar scoffed right back. "And turn us all to glass I wager! There is a reason I wasn't called Redfoot, Firemark or some such! What's sand to fire? Glass!" This last part she muttered to herself thoughtfully. Fire and sand with a dash of darkness. "Oh, this is turning out quite nice indeed. Sandstrike, you're quite welcome to join, but before you do, you must learn about Starclan, and I know just the kit to teach you. Oh yes." Bluestar chuckled to herself. "She'll teach you all you need to know about Starclan and the warrior code!"

"A KIT?!" Sandstike nearly leaped out of her fur. "What can a kit know?" Now she was more curious than shocked.

A voice call out from the darkness. "I know more in my fluffy tail than you do in your body you fuzzball!" The shadows parted as a tiny cream colored kit the size of a smallish rat stepped in the light. "My mother was a medicine cat!" Bluestar put he mussel in Sandstrike's ear and whispered "If you become medicine cat, you can't have kits, but her mother was, shall we say, taken advantage of. She was training Sweetkit to be a medicine cat, like about the herbs and such, when she when to Starclan. She has power over darkness, and you will never hear her coming." "But she will hear you!" Piped Sweetkit.

"Oh, how interesting. And sad." Sandstike was a little distracted by what Bluestar had said. "Well, is there some where I can rest?"
