loststar scoffed, self-righteous anger heating the blood in his veins. "how nice of you to notice it's a gathering, your deputy clearly did not!" he sneered, his tail lashing from side to side. "how do you explain that her claws were unsheathed? he is a medicine cat, and regardless of the situation, i thought the warrior code explicitly stated to never hurt a medicine cat?" he snapped, his eyes now into slits. he turned to badgerclaw and growled, his ears flattening on his head. "ah, so because his cat cannot follow a code and will not accept responsibility, i must?" his lip curled.

wolfstrike wheezed, a smirk growing on his face. "oh, i cannot wait to see my clan-mates come back to camp with your blood on their claws." he taunted, his skinny tail waving in the air. this was the most fun he had in moons, and he was hoping to bait the molly more.

thistlepaw heard loststar mention her and sat up straight, her ears perked up. she would never forget his face as he fought tooth and nail, a snarl on his muzzle even as he took his last breath. to see him walking around again...it was amazing for the molly, almost as if she was in the presence of the Dark Forest itself.

Mintstar purred along with him and thought that it was a wise decision to ally with the tom and his Clan, as he seemed to be genuinely interested in her own. She initially had her worries as TempestClan was the first she had grown involved with after Shadowstar's passing, but their alliance seemed to going well so far. "Ah, tell her I wish her well then!" Mintstar mewed with a smile, with luck and StarClan's blessing, the queen Tempeststar had mentioned would have a kitting a far less painful then Rosemask's had. With that thought in mind, the leader's smiled dimmed, and decided to change the subject away from kits for the time being. "And how's TempestClan if you don't mind me asking? I'm hoping you all had a good Newleaf."

Rowanpelt felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted off his back upon hearing all his kits were born healthy, though he couldn't help but feel hurt that there was no way of being by Velvetrabbit's side without exposing their relationship or being unable to see his kits until they were all able to come to a Gathering. "And w-what are their names? What do they look like?" He asked, taking any chance of learning of his kits even if the JinxClan deputy couldn't stick around him for too long.

Ratnose spent more moons in the apprentices' den then the average cat did, so it was only now he realized that while he enjoyed being around apprentices, he had to admit it was more comfortable being around warriors as most matched his maturity rather then the playful young cats he was acquainted with. The young black tom hung around the area where the warriors where gathered, his green eyes lit in curiosity over the numerous conversations everyone was having before a calico and a pale golden molly caught his eye. Ratnose padded over to them and purred out a greeting. "Wonderful night, isn't it?" He said, hoping to strike up a conversation with either of them.

Acornpaw mewed her 'see you laters' to her fellow apprentices before trotting up to one tom in particular, Snakepaw of EchoClan, who was standing nearby with another tom who looked quite similar to him. The young molly struggled to remember if he mentioned having siblings the last time they spoke, but nothing came to mind at the moment. "Hey stranger!" She meowed to Snakepaw, her tail sticking straight up in greeting. "Nice to see you again, and uh, nice to meet you too." She mewed to her acquaintance and his companion.

➜ Badgerstar was rather frightened, his ears flattening as Loststar's attention turned to him. He opened his mouth to reply, when a familiar voice called out from below him, and he just about sagged in relief. "Hey!" Lionheart mewed. "I would appreciate if you would stop badgering my leader. He has enough things on his mind without having to deal with a self-entitled tom who can't even keep his cats under control and allows them to behave in such a way that embarrasses the name of his clan. He has nothing to do with this, and frankly, neither does that poor leader next to him. You should be talking to those cats, not threatening your fellow leaders." And with that, she turned and stalked away from the rock, back to Beestripe. Badgerstar was pretty sure he could never come up with something that biting on the spot.

➜ Goldleaf was no longer interested in what the other medicine cats of the area were like. This grouchy tom starting an argument with two mollies was enough for her to become disinterested in conversation with a whole lot. She got to her feet, planning to disappear back into the crowd where she would hopefully find someone of a more reasonable temperament and much more pleasant company. This argument was for kittens, and Goldleaf was far from being a kitten now.

➜ Lionheart nodded happily at the news that Beestripe had been good, before she glanced toward Badgerstar with a slightly nervous laugh. "Well," she said, "the last time we came to this gathering, Badgerstar was only 18 moons old, and there were just the two of us. I came from a clan before Groveclan, so we decided it would be best if we swapped roles for that gathering so that we wouldn't become a target to some of the meaner or more ambitious clans who might have wanted more territory. Sorry about that. My name is actually Lionheart, it's a pleasure to officially meet you, as myself."
Suddenly, her ear twisted, followed by her head as she looked over her shoulder to the leader's rock. She frowned, turning to Beestripe for a moment. "Excuse me," she said, before wandering over to the rock to berate Loststar. Having completed that, she turned and made her way back to Beestripe. "Sorry about that," she said, "he requires my help from time to time. He's not really cut out for conflict."

➜ The black tom's face fell as he heard that no one had heard from his mate, but his ears perked up again at the mention of his son, and soft smile on his face. "That makes me so happy to hear. You have no idea, thank you, Freckleheart. I just ask that while I can't be a father to him from my clan, that you make sure he's okay. I'd love it if I could meet you each gathering, or at least once a moon to hear how he's doing until he's old enough to come here himself, if that's okay with you?"

➜ The calico she-cat pricked her ears up as a young tom made her way towards her and Flowerpaw. She purred as the other spoke, nodding enthusiastically. "It really is," she mewed, "it's just such a nice newleaf night, and I've never seen so many cats in one place at once!" She looked around again once more in awe, before shaking her head a little and smiling at the strange cat. "Sorry, where are my manners? I'm Maplefall, of Groveclan, and this is Flowerpa--" she looked surprised as she realized that the young ginger molly was no longer at her side. "That... was Flowerpaw I guess? What's your name?"

➜ The young ginger molly noticed another cat coming toward them, striking up a conversation with Maplefall. Quietly, she ducked away from the other she-cat, not wanting to intrude on a conversation obviously meant for cats older than she was. Instead, she decided to go in search of some other apprentices closer to her age that would be easier for her to interact with.

honeystar broke into the gathering clearing with the rest of the clan. it was the first time sageclan had attended a gathering for honeystar was weary of other clans, and despite owlflame's pleas with her to not attend due to her poor health after losing her first life to drowning, the she-cat insisted on going. after making sure all the cats were there, she glanced around the clearing and noticed two cats, who seemed in a position of power, chatting reservedly. a perfect chance to bond with other clans. the pale ginger she-cat made her way across the clearing towards the duo before dipping her head in greeting, "i hope i'm not disturbing your conversation," she meowed, looking from one to the other, "my name is honeystar and i'm the leader of sageclan. our clan is large, but it's our first gathering." she introduced.

owlflame was never really good with being sociable, so when honeystar broke the news that the clan would be attending a gathering, his heart dropped. they entered the already busy clearing rather quietly, and fear started to prick at his pelt. he didn't want to be here, he wanted to be with his mate and kits in the nursery. frowning, the deputy rolled his eyes before sitting down alone, cleaning his paws.

chestnutface slunk into the clearing beside thistlepelt, she had grown close to the tom and enjoyed his company, but of course her loyalty remained to her beloved mate, bristleclaw. the pretty calico she-cat glanced around before stretching out. she wished duskfall was able to come, she simply treasured her only remaining kit and was horrified to learn he was involved in the river incident. here other kit, tigertooth had died due to drowning, so chestnutface was beyond scared. her other two kits, smokestorm and bramblestrike had been separated from her after the clan fell apart. she glanced across the clearing when her eyes suddenly trailed onto the thin silver tabby body that seemed ever-so familiar. narrowing her eyes, the elderly she-cat got to her paws and approached the cat. you could imagine her shock when she realised it was her daughter. letting out a cry of delight, chestnutface raced over to bramblestrike and gave her a brief nuzzle, "bramblestrike? is that really you? it's me! your mother- chestnutstar!" she purred, over the moon to see her daughter.

thistlepelt walked into the gathering clearing alongside chestnutface, rubbing his tail against her flank cheekily before trotting off to see if he could find any cats. he had his eyes mainly open to see if he could find anyone from his old clan, but before he could see if anyone was there, a pretty tabby figure caught his eye and thistlepelt strutted over to her, tail kinked over his back in a flirty manner. he stopped in front of her and grinned, his eyes shining mischievously, "i think you're a thief," he paused, before continuing, "because you stole my heart from all the way across the clearing," he winked. thistlepelt knew he was horrible at lines. he was renowned for being the clan flirt, but that wouldn't stop him from flirting with she-cats from other clans, "the name's thistlepelt. i used to be a deputy but i left that clan and now i'm stuck with being a warrior in sageclan." he frowned, "and what's your name, lovely lady?"

rookpaw chatted with the new apprentice, cherrypaw all the way to the gathering. excited was an understatement of the tom's feelings. he wished fernpaw and minnowpaw could have attended as well, but they were confined to camp. after bidding cherrypaw farewell, the black and white tom glanced around before he found a she-cat around his age sitting by herself. twitching his whiskers, rookpaw bounced over to her, flashing a smile. "hiya! i'm rookpaw and i'm from sageclan." he shuffled his paws, "what's your name?"

cherrypaw enjoyed rookpaw's company. the tom was quick-witted, funny and friendly, much like herself and she preferred him to the other apprentices, who seemed more cold and reserved towards her. after entering the huge gathering clearing, cherrypaw's mouth dropped open in shock. she had only just joined the clan and she wasn't aware there was so many more. the tortoiseshell she-cat sat down with wide eyes and glanced around, feeling shy among the large number of cats.

Squirrelstar stepped forward to stand with Badgerstar and Mousestar after Lionheart left. "Don't listen to Loststar." She mewed to Badgerstar. "Leaders like him think they know everything. Just ignore him and everything will be fine." The light ginger tabby dipped her head in greeting to Mousestar in a way to apologize for interrupting the conversation.

Brindlecloud's dilute calico pelt began to prickle along her spine in alarm when she noticed Willowcloud making her way towards her. Is she going to scold me? The young medicine cat thought anxiously. Upon hearing Willowcloud say that Appleheart was asking about her, Brindlecloud relaxed.

"Echoclan is doing very well... including all of the kits." She mewed the last part quietly, her gaze darting around to see if any of the other medicine cats were listening. "Is everyone well in Leafclan?"

Beestripe smirked slightly at Lionheart, her whiskers twitching in amusement. "Well, it's very nice to meet you, Lionheart. I think we'll get along very well, as long as you don't keep knocking me over." The dark tabby teased, bumping her shoulder affectionately against hers. She watched after Lionheart with a worried expression when she went to help Badgerstar with a problem with one of the other leaders.

Snakepaw smiled warmly at Acornpaw as she came over to join him and Darkpaw. "It's nice to see you again too." The tom mewed, his tail swishing back and forth. Darkpaw looked between the two, his eyes narrowed in disdain. "And this stupid lump of fur is my half brother, Darkpaw. Emphasis on the half." Snakepaw mewed snidely, causing Darkpaw to snarl at him.

Mousestar's comment made Badgerstar nod slightly, with a fond smile after the ginger molly. "Lionheart is my best warrior," he mewed, "I don't think she's afraid of anything, and she certainly doesn't mind putting others in their place if they cross her. She's my closest friend and confidante and I honestly think Groveclan would be dead in the water without her."

I think you would like her, she would have bit my ears off for knocking her over too." Lionheart smiled at the memory. And glanced across to the medicine cat gathering area, surprised to see that the other molly was nowhere to be found. "Anyway. Anything exciting happen in Echoclan since I last saw you? Hopefully you've fared well."

"I'm from Groveclan, it's nice to meet you. Sorry for being jumpy it's just... there's so many cats. I've never seen this many cats in the same place before in my life. Especially cats I don't know. Maplefall and Lionheart are both talking to other cats, and I don't want to interrupt." She glanced over at the two mollies in question, before back to Rookpaw. "Is this your first time at a gathering too?"

Jinxstar walked over to stand with D=Badgerstar and Mousestar, glaring at Loststar.

"I am quiet surprised to find a clan like yours at a gathering like this. Afterall, this is a Starclan ruled place, it seems that you might be more confused then you think." Jinxstar said to Loststar as he looked at the other two leaders.

Although it was obvious that they could probably handle themselves, he was still a bit bigger and more imposing then the other two. He figured they would not mind the help. He had heard about the reputation of Loststar and his clan and did not understand why they would be at a gathering to begin with.

"The definently reflect you. it is glaringly obvious that Yinpelt is not the father of her kits, but withhow things in the clan are right now, no one will say anything. There is a very fragile peace still within the clan, and everyone is afraid of breaking it." Willowbolt said as she looked around to see if the other deputies were listening, "Most of their names were fine, Velvetrabbit even got to name one. She named the runt, which looks like a paler version of you, Hazelkit. Owlkit is a yellowy color like Velvetrabbit, so is Lemonkit. Cougarkit is an almost exact copy of you in every way, except that she had the white belly that Velvetrabbit has. The last one is a few shades paler then Cougarkit, and unfortunately Yinpelt go this revenge in one way. The last one is named Dirtkit. I am not sure if once things get figured out Jinxstar will change his name or not, but hopefully he will not let his name stop him from fulfilling his potential. They are all proving to be strong and healthy kits. Dirtkit and Owlkit are males; Lemonkit, Cougarkit, and Hazelkit are females."

Willowbolt seemed reluctant to go on, but she felt that she needed to say more to someone about what was happening in Jinxclan, and she knew that Pineclan had always been a loyal ally to them.

"tempestclan has been well. the flooding is nothing new to us, and we are well equipped for dealing with it, so we haven't had much trouble." however, his eyes were lined with sorrow. noticing the newcomer, tempeststar blinked, glancing up, before giving a curt nod. "tempeststar, of tempestclan." he returned.

brindleclaw watched, as nightglow cowered, before making her way away from the two. there was nothing to be gained from standing there. looking about, the she-cat felt out of place. it had been many, many moons since she'd attended a gathering--she didn't recognize anyone, now.

freckleheart nodded before flintburr had even finished speaking. "of course! i'll be here every gathering, starclan willing. tempeststar--" the tom's eyes softened. "it's not obsidianclan, but tempestclan is good. tempeststar, too--i doubt he'd be willing to give up halfkit, but his heart is kind. i can't think of a situation where i wouldn't be permitted to come and give you updates. i promise i'll help you keep in touch." the dilute tom's eyes shown with sympathy and determination as he spoke, and his whiskers trembled.
