The moment the bell rings I get up, pack my stuff and get ready to leave.
Emily stares at me pleadingly. I ignore her.
From the corner of my eyes I can see Aidan getting up, talking to Leo, a pretty nice, maybe a bit enegergetic boy. Emily now pouts, she looks like a little puppy that way and her brown eyes sparkle brightly when I sigh a sigh of defeat. I accompany her to Aidans desk, greeting Leo while Emily introduces herself enthusiastically to the new kid.
"Hey, my name's Emily, you're Aidan? Which school did you visit before you came here? Don't you hate maths? I do, and what about physics?" She blurts in one go, without breathing or giving him any time to answer. Leo and I look at each other understandingly, eventhough we never have been friends we get along well, but Emily with her constant talking just freaks him out.

"Err, well I'm going to go.." Leo trailed off, trying to slip away, but the look that Aidan shot him made him freeze and come back. "Nevermind, I'll stay." He said simply, stuffing his hands in his pockets as if nothing had happened and looking between everyone.
"Hi Emily, it's nice to meet you." Aidan said calmly, looking at the hyper girl. Which school had he come from, actually? "What school? Eh.. I was home schooled for most of my life." He had hesitated for a moment there, and he had a sinking feeling he had blown it. Drat! "I think math is alright, actually, and I've ever taken physics before so I can't tell you." He shrugged, knowing he was probably slowly becoming a weirdo in the eyes of the students here. That was what Aidan had been like as a kid, before he died, he was the weirdo who enjoyed math.
