Cherokee woke up a little while later, and felt sick to her stomach. She departed from Azumi, and slowly walked with her head lowered. She pinned her ears back and trotted away, in a desperate search of clover. Her mother had taught her that when she felt sick,
to find a patch of clover and rest for a while. She remembered the bittersweet memory of her mother and father, who had taught her how to gallop, and to defend herself in an attack. She remembered how her mother used to curl up next to her, as her sweet scent flooded her nostrils. Her thoughts were soon interrupted when she saw a bright green patch of clover. She splayed her legs out in front of her as she lay down next to the vibrant clover patch. She took a nibble of the sweet plant, and rolled onto her side, and fell asleep.

Apollo was startled when she asked if he was afraid of her,but he really did like the mare. He then realized she was playing around, and followed her as she greeted him to. He broke into a trot after her.

Kuboki was skeptical as to if he would really follow, but sure enough, there he was. She veered off, out of the stream, and broke into a gallop towards a grove. Breaking through the brush, they came upon a clearing, filled with an assortments of flowers and creatures alike. She smiled, taking a mouthful of sweet grass before nipping at the stallion playfully. She trotted elegantly ahead with a flirtatious glance back at him, her head lifted high which only added to her gracefulness.

Azumi nodded as she departed, keeping a close eye on her. He didn't want her or the foal to get hurt, even if it wasn't born yet. He smiled, dipping his head to graze, although he continued to watch her.

Cherokee snorted as pain shot across her body. She hoped more than anything that her foal was okay, and that it didn't have anything to do with her foal. She struggled to get up, but just fell down again. She knew her mother had suffered with this kind of pain before, but she had never understood the pain.

Apollo chased after the mare when she had nipped at him playfully, and then stopped to watch her gracefully trot across the field of flowers, and wished this moment would never end.

The painted mustang grazed on the wild oats of the plains, her black tail swaying in contentness. The sound of the breeze russeling the grass was the only sound dancing around her. She picked her head up to scan the area, her ears moving like radars before going back to grazing.

Kuboki heard steps coming from the woods. It was one of the herd members, who had always been sort of a motherly figure to her. She snorted and Kuboki glanced side-long at Apollo before reluctantly trotting off to her. "I gotta go.. Bye!" She said, soon disappearing behind the trees, without a word regarding if they would meet again or where. She was lead to the stream and told to clean off. She nodded and dipped her head to drink before rolling in the shallows. "You cant go off without telling me." The mare said, but Kuboki didn't reply. She was old enough to care for herself, and the mare wasn't her real mother. But she didn't want to hurt the feelings of someone so kind.

Azumi heard his mate struggling and rushed up, shoving his muzzle underneath her shoulder, prying her upwards. "Cherokee! You alright?" He nuzzled her, leaning against the mare for support.

Cherokee lifted her head to look at Azumi. She kicked her legs, and struggle to get up until she found herself leaning on Azumi.
Cherokee gently Pried herself off his body, and walked, building up more strength as she did so. "I'm fine. Just a little dehidrated I guess...."She told him reassuringly. She slowly drug her feet towards the pond.

Apollo got upset as the mare had walked away. He should have done more while the time had lasted. He galloped across the plains, as his hooves violently hit the earth.

Cherokee dipped her head to drink. As she was getting comfortable, she was startled by something in the woods. She lofted her head to see a blurred figure shooting through the trees. She watched as the creature stopped to look back behind itself. Cherokee gasped when she realized it was a doe and her fawn. They looked panicked, and she realized that could only mean one thing.....hunters.
Cherokee whinnied as she heard gunshots that had barely missed the fawn. Cherokee galloped across the pond, and heaved herself onto shore, and ran at full speed towards the mother and her baby.She flanked the deer, herding her toward her herd, where the hunters wouldn't dare mess with her or her fawn. Cherokee reared as a last gunshot had hit the mother of the fawn. Cherokee ran with the fawn.
