In that case Avian is in this as well. Maybe Squiddy was lying about Panopea though. However, Avian states that Squiddy had seen Panopea, because Squiddy told him and maybe Squiddy told them when he was with them. Squiddy wasn't sure about the time, so it could've been before he met with Avian and the Conductor.

the statue did it. The statue is a person and is going to be a released pet or a new npc. we're so close to tomorrow, this is my new guess.

Who I actually think did it? I think it was finnegan. Finnegan asks us to bring "seaweed, kelp, shells, and wood." All of which were found at the crime scene. Also he is an old design storepets meaning we weren't going to be able to recieve a version of him during the event, which means it's safe to say he can be a prime suspect. He has the key, and he is a water dragon. Meaning he has scales, and webs. He says he wants to brighten up the hall, but he needs the seaweed kelp shells etc to do so. But when we give him what he asks for, he gives us decorations for the hall. What would he need all those tokens for? Especially since that is what damaged the crime scene anyways. He actually could of tried framing the chief because he claimed "When I left work last night, the only one here was Cheif Calamari" perhaps trying to lead us down the wrong trail. In addition, he should know who has the keys since he is the lead organizer of the jamboree. Meaning that he could easily go wherever he wants in that place without looking suspicious. We also don't know where he was after the chief left. He may have snuck back in to destroy the place and then leave without a sound.
Motive: overworked, and stressed. Having to deal with all the constant work and pressure made him crack.
In addition he could also be working with Cheif so they could have an "alibi" they both seem quite upset with the jamboree, and need a break. If they did work together Cheif would have been the one who made the tentacle markings around the stage, and Finnegan would have left the scales.

Ok. So I've figured it out. It has to be Finnegan because he's the only one who can manover through the jamboree without any suspicion. He was able to throw a lot of us off by lying, and making most of us jump to someone else thinking that they did it. So the thing is, we know where he could of did it, how he got the materials (from us) and why he did it. But I feel like he had help. I don't think, (because he claimed he works most of the time) he had enough time to actually damage the instruments. But he could of helped someone get to the instruments, and lied about seeing them. After all, he claimed he saw the Cheif, so that we could be thrown off.

SO THEN WHO HELPED HIM

If Cheif is lying then he may have been going out to meet up with finnegan to the stage. Sooo yeah. Think it's finnegan still.


Note: the conductor had his alibi cleared, meaning that Finnegan had no connection with him. Question: how come did the conductor get his Alibi cleared when Finnegan did not?

Hm. He could of hidden in seaweed and accidentally scared the princess as she slept walked but unlikely. Mostly linked to Cheif currently. We don't know who he had contact with yet... he doesn't really talk to the investigators. Suspicious

The shadow figure kinda looks like Finnegan


The shadow figure may be Finnegan in disguise, as we see him hide in kelp. He may have used it to walk around without being noticed and scared the princess.

The Cheif is furious. He isn't the one conspiring with Finnegan. Finnegan still has not made a comment declaring his alibi nor has he commented on any of the jamboree delays. He still is a suspect.

I have a thought:

Mr herringbone was moving the statue to the courtyard for the jamboree, which was made of the various tokens that the tourists gave him. The princess, who happened to possibly be sleepwalking or sneaking around at night was wandering towards the statue. She woke up from her daze to see the big statue made of seaweed and shells (primarily green, and possibly monster-like).
She got startled, ran, and crashed into the instruments damaging them before fleeing into the night. The noise might have been the instruments crashing and breaking, or maybe someone shouting in surprise over the little princess running away

That could be possible, but Herringbone doesn't have a key to the courtyard, does he?

I've been saying all along that I don't think having a key means anything. "Courtyard," usually means an area open to the air... in this case, the sea.

So anyone with wings or flippers and the capacity to fly over the walls could've gotten in easily, I think.

Squiddy doesn't know when the time he saw Panopea was, so maybe it was before nine and he came back around that time. Maybe it was after but he still came back to avian and saw that Orchid was there.

I'm really thinking the culprit is someone we haven't met yet. Poor Mr Herringbone is just the scapegoat.

Yup! Unless the water physics were different or there was a dome over the courtyard the gates don't really stop anything
