Plot
This is a canine survival RP. You are either a dog living in the human city or a wolf trying to survive in the wilderness (or a wolf dog if you want to be complicated, just pick a side. :P)
The dogs that live with the humans in the city are pretty safe. You get cared for, fed regularly and can hide inside when the weather gets bad. You live a luxurious life in the battered old city.
As for the wolves; your forests have been destroyed and prey is hard to come by. Your hungry, fighting against mother nature and having to tackle difficult situations. Your numbers are dwindling and life is all around difficult for you.
The
city is the place everyone wants to be. It's owned by the humans but it's no-longer beautiful. It's pretty destroyed actually. It's kept guarded by large metal war robots and armed men to keep everyone in and keep the dangers out. It's difficult to break in and if a wolf is caught in the city, you are likely going to get shot.
The
wilderness is a barren wasteland lacking in plants and animals. There are no trees and defiantly no forests. There is a lot of human junk and abandoned villages hanging around from the old days. There are many underground
bunkers scattered about in which you can use for hiding out in when the weather gets bad. The bunkers will protect you from every weather and every season.
All of the animals and humans can come in a range of fur/hair colors and patterns. Some of the animals posses special abilities/powers. These powers are small but when used correctly can be very useful.
Food Sources
Food sources are low. Most animals are extinct so below are a list of survived animals, or food sources for the wolves.
- Any and all rodents. ;; Easier to find in Summer and Light Season.
- Rabbits. ;; Easier to find in Autumn.
- Toads, frogs, reptiles. ;; Easier to find in Spring.
- Fish ;; Easier to find in Winter.
- Birds ;; Found all year round but difficult to catch.
- Human Food Waste (Scavenging from Dustbins, shops etc.)
- Fish ;; Easier to find in Dark Season and Winter when humans don't want to be out. Available all year around but most risk to find.
- River Water ;; Is polluted and can cause illness if drink too much. Safe in small amounts.
- Pond/Puddle/Stagnant Water ;; Can be polluted but also may contain nasty parasites that will make you sick. Not recommended to drink from, but when your desperate...
- Well Water ;; Found if you dig down deep enough. This water is hard to find and hard to reach but it's the safest and cleanest source of water. But it won't last long if you open it up.
- Human Water Bottles ;; An ultra rare find, only found in the human city. These are safe to drink but difficult to get into.
- Rain Water ;; As long as it's not Acid Rain, it's safe to drink. First you need to find a way to collect it. Supplies will dry up when it gets hot and stored water becomes stagnant which can make you sick.
- Water from your Food ;; It can keep you alive but it won't quench your thirst.
The Dangers
- Humans; Really only a danger to wolves...and sometimes strays. They will shoot a wolf without hesitation. They hate them. They love dogs and take care of them.
- Wild Boar: ; Once small. These creatures are now HUGE! They are aggressive and will kill anything they come across. They are almost impossible to beat in a fight.
- War Machines; Active war machines guard the city. They are impossible to defeat so you just have to run and hope you escape. There are also ones laying dormant all over the place, if you wake one up then you could be in a lot of trouble.
- Explosives ; The Earth was once a great battleground for humans, they leave their junk everywhere. There are lots of hidden mines and explosives. If you occidentally stand on one or come across one...There is a chance of getting injured or dying.
- Diseases, Illnesses, Injury and Parasites ; The world is full of them. Be extra carefully. With no herbs growing, treating an ill or injured wolf is hard.
- The Weather ; It's pretty dangerous at times. (See Weathers.)
- Den/Bunker Collapse ; Sometimes in bad weather of Earthquakes the soil moves. It can be pretty dangers if you are inside when it gives way.
- Starvation or Dehydration ; Food is defiantly always hard to come by and water is hard to come by at certain times of the year. If you don't find it, you don't survive.
Seasons
The length of the seasons are now unpredictable, they can be long or really short. The seasons are usually very extrema and can be uncomfortable. There are also two new seasons.

;; A beautiful time of year when there are a couple more animals and a few more plants blooming...But it's not as beautiful as it used to be. It's the hardest time to hunt as prey animals are always on extra alert because of their youngsters running about. The temperature is starting to warm up and everything is starting to look a bit better...Or so we hope. Floods are most common this time of year as all of the ice is melting.[ ] Summer
;; Summer is extremely hot, it's desert heat. Your likely going to feel too exhausted to move and are at great risk of catching heat stroke. Water sources dry up so you must survive by either digging down deep in hopes of finding a well or getting water from your food or attempting to stomach the plants without becoming poisoned. Dust Storms are most common this time of year.[ ] Light Season
;; The light season is when it's daytime all of the time. There is no night time for the entire of this season. Gas Clouds are most common during this season. [ ] Autumn
;; Autumn of Fall would usually be the time of year when leaves fall from the trees...Except there are no trees for the leaves to fall from. The temperature can be some-what cold during Autumn but it's nothing to unbearable. The weather is usually not very nice though. Acid Rain and Thunder Storms are very common this time of year.[ ] Winter
;; Winter is bitterly cold. Snow covers the floor but because it's soo...cold, the snow isn't soft, it's pretty hard like ice. It's the easiest time of the year to hunt because you can see the animals tracks but not even the wolves want to go out in that cold weather. Be careful not to catch a cold or get frost bite, especially not in your lungs. Glassy Rain and blinding Blizzards are most common this time of year.[ ] Dark Season
;; The dark season is when everywhere is caped in darkness. It's night all of the time, there is no sun or daylight during this time. Solar Flare storms are most common during this time.Weather

;; There are lots of floods. Water levels are high. Danger of being washed away.[ ] Forest Fires
;; Although there is no forests, fires still occur when it's really hot. These fires can often become out of control and dangerous. [ ] Dust Storms
;; Where it's so hot and dry, the wind blows and collects the dust. The dust can get into your lungs and eyes, it's uncomfortable but usually can't kill you. Makes it hard to see and work.[ ] Acid Rain
;; Acid Rain is normal rain but it's highly acidic. It can't kill you but it can burn your fur and skin away. It's painful and can leave nasty scars.[ ] Glassy Rain
;; This happens when it's really cold. It's not rain, it's more beautiful. The particles in the air freeze and shimmer under the light. It's pretty harmless although you are more likely to catch a cold by breathing these particles in.[ ] Blizzard
;; Heavy, heavy snow.[ ] Solar Flares
;; Appears almost like lightning but in many vibrant colours. Solar Flares are dangerous, if you are struck by one of these, you can die or at the very least loose a limb. They have been known to destroy plants and animals. [ ] Earthquakes
