Okay have a theory(probably way to outside the box, but oh well)

I think the anonymous tipper is taffy_cakes. Here's why:
First: It's a new person in the map.
Second: The picture he/she drew looks as though Cuttler has a red face and tentacles(to me I suppose).
Third: Cuttler didn't show his response to the picture, what ever drawings have been shown to him he usually says a compliment to use.

I know this is a wild theory, but it could be possible.

Yes he is.So he is out of the case.Since he is pueple.Plus he was talking to his fans with proof.So I don't think he did it

I'm pretty sure it's possible to chat on the phone while destroying instruments xD
I love cuttler, I don't think he did it either, it's just that the evidence doesn't exactly prove his innocence

I mean wouldn't he be mad nobody invited him to the Jamboree.. that's a good motive, and maybe he had some help from the pearl dealer (news mentioned a pearl dealer) to use his tentacles as lock picks?

I've been wondering about that too, to be honest! But we don't have any evidence apart from the fact that he wasn't invited, which doesn't make for a very strong argument... I also wonder if it was that princess (what's her name? XD). She strikes me as having quite a sinister character... I can see her smashing instruments out of spite for something XD

I will gladly jump on this boat of people who are very into this. Ok, that rotating bar under the breaking news thing said a)"A staff member swore they saw a flash of red last night." Or something like that and then it said "Tentacle marks were found on the stage." When I saw the second update I thought of Wade (The beautiful gal at the race track) but I also thought of the pink squid (Forgot her name) and for motives for anybody, just to stop the Jamboree or they were looking for something and they thought it was in the instruments. But also both things point to Steve and his squid (Say it ain't so!) who was also accused of rigging the races.

Yeah you know how in movies the strings always form a pattern/image? Doesn't look like anything so far though :P

well, nothing is ever straightforward with these event crimes!
although I dont really believe cuttler had anything to do with it either, it is still a strong possibility because he could have been teamed up with someone else
