The theories for the Chef are very good and convincing. I don't think it's him though. There's often a 'red herring' who all the evidence points towards, but it ends up being someone else.
I for one won't rest until justice is served!

I wonder who the irritating kids were, who kept annoying the dragon (and made him be really grumpy on Day One). Do you think they have a role in this?

I'm gonna go full detective mode;
The question: Who broke the instruments?

So far, we've only been allowed to interview Chef Calamari.
However, I don't think it could have been him? He's serving food at the Jamboree. He wouldn't want the Jamboree to be cancelled, because then, nobody would be able to try his food.

It could've been anyone;
- The Lion Cub, who honestly, I think is the most likely suspect. They're a little troublemaker, and they might want the Jamboree to be called off so that they (he?? she???) can get attention from their Mama.
- Panopea, although she seems v sweet tbh and she wouldn't really have a reason to break the instruments, since her game is gonna be available for people to play at Jamboree.
- Wade, the Fast Fins Racetrack Owner.. cat. Their information hasn't been updated since day one, but I can't tell if that's because nobody's chosen to update it, or if it's because they're hiding something.
- The Old Derg, perhaps because he wasn't invited? However, we learned from him yesterday that he's actually a very nice guy. I don't want to believe that he would've done something so cruel.
- The owner of Barnacle Boutique. Not sure what her motive would be.. but..
Although, she seems to be happy knowing that there'll be more time for outfit picking..
- Avian/Totoro?? Maybe they snuck in to explore, and ended up breaking something. I highly doubt it though.
- cUtTlEr??? A true detective never leaves out a suspect
Could be someone we haven't met yet.

also i'm gonna go ahead and say i suspect shelly because that seems like the only logical choice from raire's hints??

the hints were something about the food items that were released today and something about she could eat another two meals

• The lion cub would be the most obvious choice, though I can see why people would choose her. From the posts that I saw, people say that she is a troublemaker and that she would like attention from her mother. I can see that, but the most obvious choice might not turn out to be the right one.
  
• Panopea is a squid, so she has tentacles. The only bit of information that you clearly know about her is that she takes care of the pearl game in the castle courtyard. She remains on the suspect list since she has tentacles, and that is pretty incriminating.
  
• Wade is a cat with tentacles. They are in the same situation as Panopea: not enough information was released to show their true personality and attitude. Since the tentacles are incriminating, they remain on the suspect list.
  
• The Old Dragon. I think he is the most unlikely suspect to have committed the crime, so I also doubt that he did it. However, you never know.
  
• The owner of Barnacle Boutique also has to remain on the suspect list since she asks for two food items from the chef. The food is the incriminating evidence for her.
  
• The Chef. Now, he is the one who makes the food, obviously, but that means that he stays on the suspect list. Like the Boutique owner, the incriminating evidence is the food.
  
• Avian and Totoro are also unlikely to have committed the crime, so they are off of the list.
  
• And now, Cuttler. He has tentacles, and you can never be too sure. The ones helping in the investigation might not be who you think they are, so he remains on the list, just in case. Plus, he has tentacles, and that's incriminating.
  
  And now, here is my theory. We know that three people have tentacles: Cuttler, Panopea, and Wade. However, these three didn't ask for food. The Boutique owner and the Chef do not have tentacles, but they asked for food. So, if the tentacles and the food are actual hints, then this means that this is a two-man crime. Two people might have done the deed, but this is only a theory of mine. So, that means that someone with tentacles and someone who asked for food must have done it, but it could also have been only one person. If my theory of a two-man crime is correct, here are the combinations. Now remember, these combinations are based on the tentacle and food theory:

Why are names changing on the breaking news? It said Verdenna or something was being led away in Clawcuffs. Now it's Coalchaser.
Earlier Pand-something saw tentacle prints. Then it was Orchid Sprig.

Looking at it carefully I see the beginning of a w. Possibly a d at the end. Then two unknown letters between.

Likely wood. BUT they were working on the stage with wood? Remember we were asked to help with rope and wood!!

The kids on day one, They could of broken them which leads to them being squids, or at least one of them being squids, if you don't know what kids I am talking about the kids annoying the dragon and his home,The children could have a role in the act, Let just watch out for anymore hints, First off the Cub, If you brought it toys it would give you one of their "cousins" could one of the pets be the pet who broke them? We don't know, could it be Wade? Well we don't know, Possibly one of the squids, Squiddy is a quiet one it could be him. But he is so lovable, your probably saying but we need to solve this case.

it's fine! there certainly is a possibility that more than one pet committed the crime.
until we have more evidence, we can't really let anyone off the hook. however, i certainly wouldn't be surprised if two pets were behind this.

Barely anyone brought this up, but what about squiddy? Squiddy wasn't mentioned at all! He hasn't said anything himself either.

Maybe Squiddy was jealous, because he couldn't play an instrument, or it was just an accident.
You never know! Squiddy looks kind of Mischeivious if you know what I mean...
