We need a japan awareness pet

The main problem with this idea is that if we gave special treatment to one major disaster then it sets a precedent for future disasters which we may not be so able/keen to devote the same resources to in future. It's difficult to say who gets to decide which disaster 'makes the cut' and I can see it rapidly turning into 'disaster of the week'.
