Moonbar awoke from his sleep with a smile on his face. He looked around the spacious hollow that he called home and felt a twinge of happiness in his gizzard. This was The Great Ga'Hoole Tree, he had finally found it; and though it was empty and cold, he would soon bring life back into the limbs, light back into the hollows, and song back into the very fibers of the tree.

He flew out of his hollow to ask the great Glaux for a new addition to the tree. He needed a strong, young owl to act aalong side him.

"Oh Great Glaux on high, please hear my cry! I need healthy owls to help me rebuild the once great tree!
I need an owl that is smart in all things nature, an owl that will know how to help the tree thrive! Thank you for you time." Moonbar said as he bowed lowly and returned home.

As he flew back to the tree, he kept his eyes open for prey. He knew that the two most important things an owl needed was shelter and food, and although he had one of those things, the other was severely lacking. It will be at least three seasons,
if not four, before the great tree will bear fruit again, and that is only if it gets the proper care in the mean time.

As he flew over the frozen wastelands, Sylvain couldn't help but frown a little. He was alone for now, and alone, he would not be able to survive... He decided to fly to the highest place on the Hrath'ghar glacier, were he knew the presence of Glaux was very strong. Once arrived there, he looked up into the sky. "Oh Glaux, please hear me. I have decided to build a kingdom, under your rule. Please send a hunter my way, who will help me to make it big and strong. Thank you." he spoke from the deepest part of his gizzard. After he was done, he looked down and sighed, then flew off, going hunting.

Sylvain flew through the sky, looking below him carefully to find anything that he could eat. As he approached the shoreline, he saw a vermin running opposite the water. He dove quickly, catching and killing it. He turned to look towards the water, curious of what could have scared the creature, and saw an owl rising from the water with a fish in it's talons.

My kingdom's name is the Kingdom of Brighter Stars. They're all about second chances, and would welcome in any owl. Their reputation is generally that of misfits, and to add to that, they live both above and below ground - in trees and in caves. They tend to band together near a huge lake, the lake so much so that it's often mistaken for a sea. The cave system has a few branches that are close to the sea, some of which are simply alcoves that are often used by owls passing by who need a place to stay for a while.
Despite most of them living below the ground in the tunnel system, this kingdom is very close to Glaumora, so much so that if an owl dies, they can live on with the kingdom. Owlets and juniors can even, if they so choose, continue growing at the rate they would have if they hadn't died, until they reach adulthood. From then on, they stop aging.
The owls in the Kingdom of Brighter Stars have all kinds of personalities, from kind to funny to downright grouchy, but they all are loyal to the kingdom.

Faustinus weaved gracefully through the trees. Tonight, he had left his carefully prepared camp to find the Aurora Glaucora. If what he heard had been correct, that was where he could ask for aid from the ancestors. Faustinus was far from home and tired, but it would all be worth it. He always loved the way the warm winds ruffled his feathers, and today was no exception. The stars twinkled brightly in the sky, so Faustinus peered up at them. He searched for, and quickly found his target.
"Ah, yes." He murmured, shifting his tail feathers to turn towards the constellation. "Follow the first feather of the Moon's wing.." With a flap of his wings, Faustinus lifted above the trees to catch a draft of wind. He was greeted by a glimmer of colorful light sitting on the horizon.
"It's greater than I ever could've imagined!" He thought, eyes widening in surprise and excitement. The wonder before him brought him new energy, and he sped off towards the Aurora with large wingstrokes.

Carefully, the young burrowing owl wound it's way through the tunnels and caves that it had found. This would be the perfect place for a new home.

My Parliment lives in the Kingdom of Vallestraya [pronounced Vayestrehah]
They are owls who pride themselves on their quick-thinking and cunning wits. When preparing for battle, they will go to the Molting Hut[an old human building where birds of all species go to molt] and select feathers from other birds to weave into their own feathers, so as to distract their enemies.

The Owls of Vallestraya, as they call themselves, live in a combination forest/desert. Their camp is right in the middle, where trees give way to cacti. They do this so that both tree-living owls and ground-living owls can easily live in harmony. The Owls of Vallestraya don't just fight though, they love shiny objects, as they use them to decorate their home. So when forging a peace treaty with them, keep that in mind. They also like books, though not as much as shinies. It is the job of the Matron to guard the stories in the books, and tell them to the Owlets. The Parliament DOES have some bards, but it is a secondary job, given to those who wish to take it upon themselves.
