I read a report on the Chicago event that was just... hilariously sad.

John Hanke was booed when he got on stage, at some point the live stream zoomed in on a girl playing PoGo but the app was completely frozen (typical), at another point you could see a group of people on their phones in the park and they were spoofing around the park, and apparently there was a line hundreds of people long waiting just to leave the event...

Personally I don't think it was a good call to make the event.. in real life. There's never been anything wrong with their regular event bonuses, and they could have just as easily done the same kind of event without the park thing. It felt so unnecessary and just kind of.. money-grabby to me.

My only complaint about the multiplier going on right now, is that I wish they had increased some special pokemon spawns. The bonuses are fine and all, but there's only so many pidgeys and rattatas you want to see in a day.

Yep, the servers crashed and nobody could really play, lol.

I tried to play Friday night and gave up because it was so laggy it was impossible. Glad I didn't waste money on tickets!

For the record, nobody has wasted money on a tickets thankfully. Niantic is giving full refunds.

That doesn't help the people who spends hundreds on scalped tickets though

Or the people who spent hundreds travelling for what they thought would be an awesome event (I am semi local. It still would have cost me a couple hundred for a hotel and gas.. there were people in my Florida PoGo group on FB who were making the trip for this)

but that's only the tickets.. plenty of people spent thousands on flights and hotels. the event was a flop, and 100$ worth of pokecoins isn't going to fix the thousands lost.

Does anyone know anyone about Spark missing when a team instinct player tries to appraise a Pokemon? I heard about it, and sure enough Candela appraises them instead of him

I haven't seen any legendary raids in my area, but even if there were then I don't think I would be able to get one?

Like other people have mentioned, no one in my area really plays it anymore, and compared to some of the other people that actually play and are guarding the nearby gym I'm a far lower level

I hope that the rest of the events aren't going to be that bad, and I hope that the people who went to Chicago still had fun! After all, there were still a few legendaries and good Pokemon there if your game worked

By now the legendary raids started here too and I managed to catch Articuno.
I won't pay for a new raid pass, so I'm going to wait until tomorrow to try for Lugia.

There have been many players with 5+ Articunos already, but also many who tried 5-6 raids and didn't get a single one. OTL
