"WE MUST GO... NOW!" He licked Auroras nose. "Wish we all get out safe..." He clambered out of the den, barking dogs now coming closer. "Follow me... If wed stay here we are all dommed." he started to climb the closest tree, waiting for Aurora/. "C'mon....." He murmed to himself as anouther gun shot went off.

Aurora followed, as quick as she could, she heard barking, even closer now. She turned and ran with Kai. She did not look back, the smell of humans and dogs rose into the air, frightened, she pelted as fast as she could through the forest, with Kai at her side. She looked at him, her eyes clouded with sadness, she hoped they would be alright. We will... she thought, We can do this, together!

Kai was running now, tierd but determined. his mind was set to get away....perhaps forever. He heard anouther dog infront of them "Stop..." He whispered, skidding the gravel up into the air. He spoke again. "Climb...Its the only way..." He clawed up a tree, now too high for anyone or anything to see him. But If they did, It would be an easy shot...

Aurora clawed her way up the tree with him, in the corner of her eye, she saw a cliff, "Kai, look, we can escape, we can go up onto the cliff!" she whispered, she was looking at Kai, then the cliff, climbed higher and higher, at last, she was at the top of the tree, "Kai, come on!" she whispered, ready to leap.

Aurora leapt, timing her jump perfectly. She landed on all four paws, she stood back, leaving enough room for Kai to jump up, "Your turn!" she called quietly. She looked around, they were safe! They could make a den here and stay for the time being.

Kai Jumped, easily making it with a long grin creeping on his face. He giggled, and started to strut over from the edge; just in case. "Aurora, I bet we could find a better den than any other. we could make one. might take a while but who knows?

Aurora nodded, "I love that idea, we would have made it, ourselves, it will be our home, together." Auroa smiled and walked over to Kai, she nuzzled him, "We'll be fine, as long as we are togther." she smiled at him.

"It will," she grinned, "It will be perfect!" she moved closer to him, until her fur was touching his, she smiled and continued to walk along with him. She looked into the distance, hearing a final gunshot, this time, it ws very faint, miles away. She smiled at Kai and walked along with him.
