Trenton waited patiently for his group to gather around him to hear the things he had to say. "Aspen is now old enough to become an irontooth." He announced proudly. The young she-dog giggled excitedly, kneading at the ground. "Aspen, come up here." He called. Aspen nodded and hurried forward to stand in front of him.

"Aspen, you were our first tenderpaw." Trenton began, his chest swelling with pride. "And you will be the first dog here to be promoted to irontooth. So Aspen, will you join the ranks of the Ironteeth and fight everything, be it dog or not, to protect those in this kennel who cannot protect themselves?"

"I do!" Aspen chirped, her tail wagging excitedly.

"Then by the powers I have been bestowed by our ancestors, I welcome you as a full member of our kennel." Trenton called out. "A new howl has joined the others that echo in our caverns." He howled. The other ironteeth gathered below them threw their head backs and joined in on the howl.

As Duci and Loki hunted,they realised a soon to be pup-motherwas walking slowly and shyly.She saw them walk up and backed away ''who are you?'' she snarled with fear ''I'm Loki,Alpha of the evergreen forests,I welcome you with open paws to my kennel.''

As they walked back,Adalia stopped in her dead tracks with a hiss ''Kai?!Why are you here??'' she growled,it seems to be that the both of them were police dogs,well,'retired' police dogs.''Adalia?Where have you been?'' Kai frowned,somehow delighted to see this fae,he tried to get close,but Adalia snapped and stepped back.

A few hours later,they somehow agreed to go hunting together,Loki,suspious,sent Benjamin and Duci to go patrolling,and keeping an eye on them,just in case.

EDIT ;; As Loki stared out his den,he saw that the leaves were turning orange,which could only mean one thing,it was fall.He smiled and sighed with delight,before venturing to the same cliff he did earlier when he met Duci,the beautiful fae.He sat down and closed his eyes,leaves falling down behind him as he said these words ; ''Oh,ancestors,you've protected my humble pack for so long,and now I want someone from the stars to be a loyal and trustworthy shaman.'' he swished his tail.

[Duci and Benjamin went hunting as Kai and Adalia went on a short patrol to talk about things.

"Alpha!" Boom barked, running to Bullet, with a shaggy gray female trailing close behind. "I found your potential beta!" Boom barked excitedly, coming to a halt. Bullet lifted an eyebrow before inspecting the new gray dog. "Not exactly beta material." Bullet commented, as the new dog growled. "But pretty feisty. She'll be good as another Ironteeth, though." Bullet added. Boom frowned. "She's not that bad, Bullet." Boom defended. "But hey, what's your name, anyways?" Boom asked, turning to the other dog. "Lily." The shaggy female answered, with barely any emotion in her voice. She sounded rather blank. "Lily. Well, there we go. Another Ironteeth!" Bullet barked, slightly raising his voice. "Well. Looks like I have to give another tour. But let's go eat, first."

"That was one juicy rabbit. Well, for this weather." Boom commented, finishing the last of the rabbit. Lily nodded in agreement. "I can show Lily the camp, if you want, Bullet." Boom offered the Alpha. "That's fine. I'll be going on a border patrol after." Bullet agreed. "But after you show her the camp, make sure you go on another hunting patrol. After this season, it's bound to be harshly cold." Bullet barked sternly, darting his eyes from Lily to Boom. They both nodded, and went off.

Pack of Olympic Forest
Number of Dogs: 8 adults, 5 pups; 6 female, 7 male

Raleigh sighed, resting on a log that over looked her pack center. The hubbub was more or less normal; the pups were rollicking about under the eyes of Stitches and Bramble, Rowdy was drying herbs in the welcome sunlight, and newly-Beta'd Blue was helping Pebble scope out the fox that was hanging around. But one dog was missing; Pie had gone on a hunting trip with Starkie. The younger Airedale had been incensed that his mother had chosen Blue over him and felt that a successful hunt might change her mind.

Bramble approached Raleigh and nosed the Alpha gently. "If you've got a moment, can we discuss mentors for my pups?" She asked.

Raleigh stood up with a slightly-strained smile. "Certainly," she replied.

(Blue and Pebble attempt to root out the invasive fox)(is that fox able to be a pack member?)

Weather Report: There is no more rain as the beginning of fall comes. The leaves are starting to turn colors and there is a slight breeze but it is a nice warm day. Both prey and predators will be out and about so be careful!

OOC: I am starting to notice that people are forgetting to feed their kennel. I just want this out here but if you have any questions about how prey works please. I will PM you ONCE only, after that I will tell you here and dogs will fall ill/die. I understand if you forget occasional but if it becomes constant then I gotta play fair as a mod.

Charlie, Bandit and Azalea catch two small birds and a mouse!
Daisy gives birth to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 pups! Sadly though one is still born and one is runty and prone to sickness.
(They will be in the clear at 4 moons old though)
Kodiak runs into a stray Tenderpaw!

Blue and Pebble do not find the fox as it has left the territory already.
(No foxes can't become part of the pack.)

Speak to the Stars: July 22

The Northern Stars consume 1 mouse and 1 hare (3 servings).

After some time Daisy finally delivers 5 beautiful pups. Parker sadly looks at the smiling female, shaking his head a bit. "I'm sorry Daisy, but one of them was still born... We will also have to keep a close on the runt." the shaman explains.
Daisy licks the still born pup, letting out a sad sigh. "May the ancestor stake care of her.... I wont let her go with out a name though. Her name shall be Sage."

The shaman nods his head, a sad smile on his face. "A beautiful name for a beautiful pup. I will go bury her and give you some time alone. I also go gather some herbs to help with the runt when needed." With that Parker left the caves and headed out.

Upon finishing their hunting patrol, Charlie, Bandit, and Azalea bring their catch back. The beta female relaxes outside the caves, sensing that Daisy had had her pups. "Go ahead and go out if you wish. I'll hold down camp." she barks to Bandit and Azalea. The pair nod their heads and head out for a walk/leisure border patrol.

Upon his patrol Kodiak comes across a tenderpaw, greeting the young dog with a small nod. "Hello there young one. Come, join me and my pack. We will make sure to teach you everything you need to know. Then when you are old enough you may decide to leave or stay with us."

Korra happily wags her tail, jumping over to the alpha and giving him a small lick. "Oh thank you! I'm Korra!" she happily barked, unable to really stay in one spot. This caused the alpha to chuckle before beckoning the pup to follow him with his tail.
"Come, I shall take you on as my tenderpaw. Lets go get some hunting training in."

{Charlie stays at camp to guard Daisy and the new pups.
Parker buries the still born pup before going herb hunting.
Azalea and Bandit go on walk/leisure border patrol.
Kodiak takes Korra out for some hunting training.}

Last spoken to ancestors: 23rd July

The new dog was certainly a welcome addition, especially in Juniper's eyes. He was charismatic and kind, and Juniper was afraid she was developing a crush. Not good. Not good at all. She never believed that he would ever return any affections, so she tried to ignore it and treated him as a friend. Again being left in charge of camp by Rerria, who'd gone to request another irontooth, she found that they needed to go hunting. The prey pile was getting low again. She grabbed everyone, except Byran who'd vanished without telling anyone where he was going, and took them out on a hunt.

"Ok, we want to try and catch some bigger prey so let's not wander off. Today, I think we should hunt as a group." she declared, checking the faces of Achilles and Kierat for approval although she didn't need it. They nodded, and Kierat said, "Good idea." Trying to look stern, she nodded and went to stand between them. "Stand in row formation. We'll clear the ground as one group." And so they started to scan the area for any signs of prey.

Nessie, Ace & Lucian trotted along the edges of the territory, eyes peeled for anything. "It seems that the rain's dying down." Lucian said good-naturedly, earning him a smile from the beta and his sibling.
"Good, I don't think any of us would've liked to deter the cold for much longer." She replied to him, her tail wagging as she looked out, seeing that the rain had now come to a complete stop. She lifted her head, tilting her muzzle upwards and smelling the air.
Lucian watched her, his own silver muzzle turning upwards to smell the freshness of the departing rain. "Smells nice, doesn't it?"
"Sure does." Ace replied to him, voice muffled by the trout he was holding.
Nessie tipped her head, nodding slightly in agreement before turning around. "You two go back to camp and drop off the food and then go for another round. If Apollo's their then tell him that you've passed the test with flying colours." She told the two, grinning as Lucian shook his short tail in a wiggling motion as Ace began to trot away out of sight.
"Sounds great!" The weimeraner said, beginning to move before turning around for a moment as Nessie spoke up once more,
"Maybe we can go on a patrol again soon to congratulate you." She said to him with a warm smile, then moving in the opposite direction of him to go on her patrol alone. The border collie wasn't exactly sure why she asked that, though knew it definetly wasn't just because he had passed the test..

Once the pair returned to camp, they saw both Apollo and another, unfamiliar dog talking, heads dipped down to talk in hushed conversation. Ace murmured something under his breath, and then raised his voice to cough, addressing himself and Lucian. The two dogs lifted their heads, slightly startled. Apollo smiled and lifted himself to his haunches.
"Zariana, meet Lucian and Ace, our irontooth's of the pack." Apollo introduced, Acs & Lucian both murmuring their hellos. Apollo then opened his maw to speak once more, "This is Zariana, our shaman. We crossed paths while I was patrolling, and I could just tell she had some knowledge about herbs." He said warmly, grinning at them.
"Hello." The female greeted, her voice warm and seemed to have a slightly exotic accent to it. "I'd love to introduce myself further to the kennel, though I was just talking about going out and collecting some herbs before it becomes too cold and hard to find them as easily." She dipped her head before lifting herself to her paws and trotting away.
Apollo turned his head to look at the males in front of him, seeing them drop a trout and rabbit into the prey pile. "Alright guys, how about we go for another round of hunting? The rain's stopped so theirs ought to be some more prey out." The alpha said to them before quickly leading them out of the camp and into more prey-infested areas.

Pack of Olympic Forest

Raleigh walked along the trails with Blue, deep in thought despite the fact that the two were on patrol. Lately, her son and Starkie had been spending almost every waking moment with each other. It seemed to the elder Airedale that a mariage was close at paw. Normally, she would have been happy for Pie, but Starkie was odd. She almost seemed like she wanted to take the pack for herself and was using Pie as a tool. Raleigh resolved to be alert at all times.

"...darn fox was nowhere to be found," she heard Blue narrate.

Back in camp, Pebble watched his pups with a feeling akin to wistfulness. In one month, they would be tenderpaws and would begin training to become proper pack members. He knew some, like Badger and Rocky, would excel, but he worried for the timid Mousie.

Stitches wandered out of camp, tossing a farewell to his sister and saying he was going hunting. Looking for a chance to stretch her legs, Bramble joined him.

"Who are you two?" Bullet spat at the two unfamiliar female and male dogs. They looked as they were littermates, very similar in looks and seemed to have the same fierce face. "I'm Ricochet." The male dog spoke, growling and in an defensive stance. "How about the other one?" Bullet asked, looking at the female, who was growling louder than his brother, and ready to attack. "Gabriel." They answered in a snarl. "Don't be so aggressive," Bullet barked, frowning. "We have to be, to protect ourselves." Ricochet replied between low, rumbling growls. "Well, how about I lead you to my pack and you possibly join it?" Bullet suggested. Ricochet and Gabriel turn to each other with questioning faces. Gabriel then signaled to Bullet to stay back as Ricochet and her huddled together to discuss it. Bullet pretended to have no interest about what they were mumbling about and glanced at the forest around him. Finally, Gabriel turned to Bullet and nodded. "Fine. If we think the pack is nice enough, then we'll join." Gabriel barked. "Good. Now follow me." Bullet commanded, leading them into the heart of the camp.

Once they reached the camp clearing, Boom and Lily almost immediately came back, each of them holding a squirrel in their jaws. "Boom, Lily, this is Gabriel and Ricochet." Bullet barked as Boom and Lily dropped their prey in a neat pile. Boom smiled and Lily barked in excitement. "This place isn't so bad." Ricochet commented, looking around. Gabriel nodded in agreement. "So, do you wish to join?" Bullet prompted. "Yes." Gabriel replied, almost too quickly. Ricochet narrowed his eyes at Gabriel but nodded. "All right. Ricochet, you can be an Ironteeth." Bullet barked, nodding to Ricochet. Ricochet nodded back. "And Gabriel. How would you like to be the Beta?" Bullet asked with a half smile. "W..what? But I just.. alright." Gabriel stammered. "Wait, how about Lily?" Boom rejected, as Lily hid behind Boom, looking somewhat scared. "She doesn't fit the Beta standards, I guess." Bullet shrugged, glancing back at Gabriel who tilted their head in confusion. Boom was left speechless, and ran off, followed by Lily. "Well, I guess I'll just leave them be for now." Bullet muttered. "Anyways, Ricochet and Gabriel. We're going on a hunting patrol. Let's go."

Boom and Lily were walking side by side. The only sound you could hear was the paw step sounds and the faint chirping of birds. They came across a small pond, and Boom stopped and looked at Lily. "Hey Lily," Boom barked, breaking the silence. Lily looked up at him. "This is really awkward but um, er, I-" Boom couldn't find good enough words, but Lily cut him off. "Yes?" Lily replied in her soft, soothing voice. It always seemed to relax Boom a whole ton. "I like you. More than a friend, I mean." Boom blurted, unable to look at Lily, so he simply looked down at the pond and saw his rippling reflection. "Really?" Lily asked, sounding not that surprised as she probably wanted to sound. Boom nodded. "I guess I do too." Lily admitted, smiling awkwardly. Boom straightened up. "Well, er... would you be my mate?" Boom asked shyly. "Of course." Lily smiled, and pressing herself next to Boom.
