Something about Logan naturally resists magic. He doesn't know what, or why, but magic simply doesn't effect him as strongly as it does others. This is probably the only reason that he's still on the quest that he's on: to get back his brainwashed brother, Dove, from the wretched witch Malloria. He has sworn to himself to kill the damned witch -- and he will, one day, he's sure. Logan isn't the most intelligent, but he does have a lot of brute strength to back himself up, and he's a rather gigantic viscet, so he can definitely be intimidating when he wants to. He's not afraid to get people out of the way by force -- he's seeing a tunnel, and that tunnel's red, and the only thing at the end of that tunnel is getting his brother back and making Malloria pay for every wrong thing she's done to him.

Winston is... a special viscet, honestly. He's a wizard, and he certainly has an affinity for magic, but... magic doesn't really have an affinity for him. He loves to experiment and see just what he can do, but more than likely his experiments go wrong, and can end up in any number of bad ways. He recently met Logan and has been sort of clinging to the far larger, far scarier viscet, just so things don't go wrong for him. After all, spellbooks are expensive, and thieves love to steal them... and he isn't very strong or intimidating or even very big. Besides, Logan's resistance to magic helps, since his experiments do little more than irritate the larger viscet.

Cursed with immortality, Kamanasiba, called Siba by those not wanting to say his mouthful of a name, is a very, very unlucky viscet. He has few friends, because you never know when something might happen to him; getting caught in a hunter's trap, tripping and falling from great heights, getting struck by lightning in a storm. Even evil and sadistic creatures seem to be naturally drawn towards him, much to his misfortune. He remains as upbeat and optimistic as he can despite never really being able to comfortably relax. But he can only be upbeat for so long.
