She could over hear the joyous conversations of the other apprentices and wished she could join in. She was stuck in camp because her kitty pet mentor refused to teach her anything anything until she learned respect. The apprentice growled and lashed out at what ever was in front of her, she didn't realize it was the unstable part of the den that she was working on and watched as it crashed all the way down. "Great!" she hissed to herself before starting all over again on the den.
"Cool we get to train as apprentices and sleep outside!" Dipperpaw meowed loudly, he of course meant what he said and looked forward to sleeping outside like he had in the past.
"Yeah, great. Woo-hoo... we all get to sleep out in the cold all night." The sarcastic meow came from Starlingpaw as the two toms walked by Aspenpaw who was working on the den. She wasn't paying attention to what she was doing and her work fell apart again. Aspenpaw let out a groan and Starlingpaw just snickered as they kept walking "You missed a spot." he meowed to her.
"Leave her alone." Ryepaw meowed and swatted at the two toms. They quickened their pace and left the two alone. Ryepaw looked at his sister "You want help?" he asked as he started to work with her, not caring what her answer was. Aspenpaw looked like she was going to burst into tears at any moment as she continued to work.
"Why do you like her?" Aspenpaw growled, referring to Tigerpaw. "She is the reason why our dad isn't here anymore and the reason why he didn't like us in the first place. If only mother would let us train when he wanted maybe he wouldn't have been so bad to every one else?" she muttered to Ryepaw.
"Tigerpaw is family, we both should like her. And it was not her fault or anything, dad made his choices and Cloudstar gave him many chances..." Ryepaw meowed under his breath. The two were quiet then as they worked on the apprentice den together, she didn't say it but Aspenpaw still blamed Tigerpaw.

"So many new apprentices and new cats. The clan grew twice its size in just a few seasons." Badgerfall meowed to Coppereyes as he groomed the top of her head. "I hope Cloudstar knows what he is doing." she worried.
Coppereyes was quiet for a while as he groomed her and when he stopped he finally answered her "Don't worry to much about it, Cloudstar I am sure knows what he is doing. Plus the majority of the new cats were kits, Quailkit, Starlingkit and Finchkit were found during a blizzard and Mutekit popped out of the river. It's not like we could have just turned them away. Waspfur was sent here by Starclan and his mate just happened to follow him."
"You still think he might be your brother?" Badgerfall asked him.
"Maybe, I haven't seen them in many moons and I doubt he would remember me." The copper colored warrior meowed with a hint of sadness in his voice.
"Why don't you ask him?"
Coppereyes shook his head "I don't want to. I fear what he would say about our sister and our other brother." he admitted to the molly.
"I would want to know, but I won't push you to do it." Badgerfall meowed before starting to groom him in return.

Archpool twitched in his sleep as he dreamed. He knew Starclan was sending him a message because he hardly ever dreamed and this was so life like. It was the tiniest owl he has ever seen and it darted around him as if it was curious of its surroundings. It disappeared into a den and he followed after it, once inside a light came from no where and there he saw so many herbs. The tiny owl was poking at them, murmuring a quiet 'who?' A deathberry rolled out of the pile and the owl chased after it, Archpool was frightened for the owl and went to say 'don't eat it.'
"Don't eat it!" Archpool yowled as he woke up. The dream was over and he was back in his den, everything was the way it was suppose to be. He sat in his nest pondering his dream, was Starclan telling him his apprentice? Was it a warning? so many thoughts flooded him.

"hello?" he heard a voice call, and he snarled before turning around, his claws already unsheathed. "who are you?" he growled to the silver tabby, watching as her eyes widened in response to his claws. "well, i heard you started a clan. not one of the weak ones either. rumors are spreading about you, and i wanted to be a part of them." she said, and loststar felt himself relax a bit. "ah, so you wish to become one with lostclan. very well, follow me." he snapped quickly, walking back to the camp. he debated on warning the molly about burningclaw, but decided against it. how would she handle the fierce molly? that would make or break her tentative offer to join the clan. "what's your name?" he asked her, and she replied instantly, "whatever name you give me." loststar was impressed despite himself, it seemed like the molly was well aware of who would be top-dog around here. "as you must know, i'm loststar. my deputy is burningclaw." the molly nodded, not seeming surprised. they walked in silence before reaching the barrier of brambles. "wait here." he ordered the molly, not surprised when she followed his instructions. he went further left to the dirtplace and squeezed into camp, his lip turned up a bit despite himself. "i caught us dinner." burningclaw said as soon as she spotted him, and he nodded to her. "good job. when i went on patrol, i found an interesting cat. she wants to join us." burningclaw scrambled to her paws, excitement shining in her eyes. "fresh meat? i want to meet her." loststar stifled the urge to laugh and just beckoned the molly to follow him. of course the molly was right where he left her, sitting calmly, her tail wrapped around her paws. burningclaw bounded up to the molly and circled her, obviously assessing her. the most the molly did was twitch an ear, and loststar had to admire how calm she was. "where did you come from." burningclaw asked her, and she replied, "i was a loner. i used to stay by the tall tree." burningclaw nodded, seemingly satisfied by the answer. "hm." she turned to loststar and nodded once. he closed his eyes and asked the Dark Forest for advice, and heard a whispered "yessss." "very well. as the Dark Forest as my witness, you are now silvermask, warrior of lostclan." silvermask dipped her head and shivered once, before raising her head to meet loststars eyes. "thank you." loststar nodded, then motioned to burningclaw. "now you can patrol, i'll take silvermask hunting." burningclaw huffed, obviously wanting to interrogate the molly, but nodded and walked away.

solyn wrote:Flintburr and Lionheart walked in peaceful silence. The ginger molly didn't mind the fact that the dark-coloured tom was eyeing her warily. If she'd met anyone other than Badgerstar, she would have been suspicious too. Besides, if she got her pelt in a twist over a tom simply looking at her, she wouldn't be very well suited for clan life at all. So, she simply walked on, with Flintburr matching her step for step.
"So, that's the leader?"
"He's Starclan sent," she explained, "or at least, that's what he tells me. I'm inclined to believe it considering when I first met him he didn't even know how the naming process worked."
"You're kidding," Flintburr's eyes widened considerably, "how old is he?"
"He's in his eighteenth moon," she replied smoothly, taking delight in the choked noise that he made, "I know, it seems ridiculous."
"And how many of you are there?"
"Just us two," she replied, "possibly three, if you're willing to stay on."
"Starclan," the black tom muttered, "if this is where they took me after Obsidianclan disbanded, there must have been a reason. Besides, it seems like you're going to need all the help you can get." He offered Lionheart a wry smile, which made the ginger she-cat laugh, and nod her agreement.
"Oh, sir," she said, "you may just be right about that."
𝕥𝕠𝕕𝕒𝕪,
"I love newleaf," Lionheart sighed, stretched out in the sun against Flintburr. The black tom was curled against a tall root of a tree, having been sunning for a while, and was now very warm. "It's so good to feel the sun again after having been wandering through sleet and snow for the past few moons. I'm so glad that leafbare is over."
"Badgerstar still seems to be in hibernation," Flintburr muttered, cracking one golden eye open and glancing toward the hollow in the tree where their leader stepped. Beside then, Maplefall purred in amusement. Lionheart liked the calico molly. Although she had a playful attitude, she was hard-working and eager to help.
"Give him a break," Lionheart said, "he's not used to the pre-dawn wakeups yet."
"Who's not?" Came a voice from behind them, and all three heads swiveled to blink owlishly at Badgerstar, standing on top of the root and blinking at them curiously. "Oh!" He said. "Oh, you meant me. Sorry. I climbed up the tallest tree in camp to see how the water is doing, since all the snow has melted and everything's wet."
"That's great," Lionheart mewed, swiftly getting to her feet, "what's the verdict?"
"I would steer clear of the river. It's too dangerous right now," he said, "and the lake has flooded the area around it, so it won't be pleasant to hunt near." He cast a glance at Lionheart, nervously, but brightened up when he saw her beaming with approval. He knew that meant he'd got it right, and he was pleased that he was learning from everything that Lionheart had taught him.
"Well then," she said, glancing between her clan members, "with that information, I guess we can start the patrols."
★★★
"So, did you have any family before you came here?" Flintburr asked in his deep baritone voice. Lionstar paused, almost hesitantly before nodding her head 'yes' in answer to his question.
"My parents and my siblings," she said, "what about you? Did you have any family in Obsidianclan?"
"Yes," he replied, looking worried, "I had a mate, and two kits, newly born. I hope they're okay. In all the madness, we split up and I haven't seen them since." Lionheart paused, as Flintburr had stopped walking. Carefully, she pressed her nose to her cheek in a comforting manner.
"I know how it feels," she said, "but I'm sure they're fine. I'm sure Badgerstar will take you to the next gathering so you can get word of them, but if that's too late to wait then I'm sure we can ask the allies that we made at this gathering to keep their ears open for news of them." Flintburr gave her a grateful smile, and she dipped her head in return, before striding forward and flicking his ear with her tail.
"Now," she said with an air of authority, "enough chit-chat, let's go catch the clan some prey, shall we?"
★★★
"There are a lot of refugees," Badgerstar's voice was concerned as he glanced between the siblings standing in the tunnel to the camp. Maplefall stood behind him, peeking around his flank at them, and blinking. Even though she'd been here a moon, she was still fascinated by the older, more experienced warriors.
"It seems a lot of clans are disbanding," replied the she-cat, shaking her head sadly, "it's a true shame. So many families are being split up. Hawkthorn and I are just lucky that we managed to stick together. It's been a very tense few moons, and we'd really appreciate it if Groveclan could give us shelter."
Badgerstar's brow knitted, and he turned slightly to look at Maplefall. "I don't want to turn away a cat in need," he said uncertainly, "but Groveclan is still small, and we don't have the resources to house refugees who don't plan on staying."
"Who says we don't plan on staying!" Shadowtail mewed. "Hawkthorn and I are more than happy to help out. Just give us a trial run, and we'll pull our weight. I promise you, we'll be the most hardworking pair of warriors that Groveclan has ever seen."
"Please," said the tom, startling all three cats, as he was notoriously quiet, "we don't have anywhere else to go. Groveclan seems good territory and you seem good cats. We don't have a home anymore, but I'd like to make Groveclan mine." Silence fell in the tunnel as the four cats regarded each other, before Badgerstar breathed deeply, and smiled.
"Okay," he said, "Lionheart and Flintburr are out hunting in the forest to the north. If you can hunt in the meadow to the east, that would be wonderful. A bigger clan means more hungry mouths to feed."
"Of course!" Chirped Shadowtail, "we won't let you down."

kaden wrote:Honeystar and Bearclaw stayed outside the Caverocks whilst Cloudpaw did her warrior assessment. The two warriors mostly stayed quiet, due to the fact the spark that the two once had went out when Mottlefang joined the clan and that sense of romance was replaced by an awkwardness, possibly due to the fact the two hadn't stopped arguing when Mottlefang first joined. As the two were sitting outside on the day Cloudpaw was due to return from her time in the cave, brushing their tails against the stony ground, Honeystar finally spoke with a firm tone, "Why are you always so brash towards Cloudpaw? She's your apprentice," The pale she-cat asked, "Hm, what do you mean?" The large tabby tom asked, clearly caught off guard, "You heard what I said, Bearclaw," the leader rolled her eyes, standing up to lean against the cliff wall. The tom just shrugged gruffly, not speaking. Honeystar let out an impatient sigh, "Is she bothering you? I would like an explanation since I've noticed your rude behavior towards this young she-cat for a few moons now," she persisted. Bearclaw narrowed his eyes, "It's really none of your business," "As your leader, I believe I have a right to know what is going on. You're obviously hiding something from me," Honeystar grew anxious, lashing her tail, "I'm not hiding anything," Honeystar was obviously not satisfied with this response and she leaped forward, taking Bearclaw by surprise and pinning him down, using all her strength to hold down his thrashing body, "At this point I am growing very suspicious of your behavior. I would like to know what is going on and if you, or Cloudpaw is in any endangerment," Honeystar spat, the bulky warrior snarled back, "Okay, okay, I'll tell you- as long as you get your flea-ridden paws off me!" he retorted and Honeystar immediately slunk back, staring expectantly at the tom. He looked mildly uncomfortable and shuffled his paws, "Um- I am the father of Cloudpaw and Hazelpaw," he admitted, watching as Honeystar's mouth gaped open, "What?!" She stammered, but before she could continue, a shadowed figure began to emerge from the depths of the cave. Honeystar flashed a glare at Bearclaw, "We will continue this conversation back in camp,"
"Mottlefang, please leave the nursery now, you're scaring the kits," Owlflame growled. It had been a full moon since Mottlefang had discovered she was expecting kits and she was as grumpy as ever. "Trust me, I don't even want to be here. I never meant to get pregnant- kits are just a burden. I should be out fighting for the clan," She snapped, glaring at the deputy from her mossy nest, "Our kits are trying the rest in peace. Shut up or leave," Owlflame retorted, lashing his tail, "What are you even doing here? You're not nursing or expecting any kits. You should make yourself useful and go train my son. He hasn't been out of camp in moons now," Mottlefang was growing more irritated as she slouched over in her nest, "I'll send Minnowpaw on a hunting patrol with a few others. He'll get some fresh air then. As of now, I'm looking after my mate and my kits," Owlflame replied, turning his back to the she-cat to return to speaking with his mate. Before he could utter a single word, Honeystar slid quietly into the nursery, smiling at the small family, "Congratulations! Your kits are beautiful. I would have visited them earlier, but I've been extremely busy the past 2 moons on assessments, moonpool and the new cats." the leader apologised, Sparrowfrost smiled, touching her nose to her sister's, "It's okay. They're only one moon old, so they can't do much," the tortoiseshell she-cat meowed in a hushed manner. "What are they called?" Sparrowfrost nosed into the two tortoiseshell kits first, watching as they squirmed at her belly, mewling loudly, "This one is called Turtlekit because of her patchy pelt, and this one is Smudgekit- after our mother," her tone grew sad at the mention of their late mother, but continued, directing the attention to the next two, who resembled their father, "This is the only tom. He's called Otterkit. I wanted to call him Duskkit, but Owlflame insisted on Otterkit. And this one is called Sandkit," Honeystar smiled, "They're absolutely perfect. I'll go and arrange patrols and give Cloudpaw and Hazelpaw their ceremonies and you can rest," The leader smiled at her sister before turning and leaving the den.
Honeystar exited the nursery before promptly calling a clan meeting. The pale ginger she-cat waited until all the cats were gathered beneath the high-rock before starting, "Cloudpaw and Hazelpaw, please step forward for your warrior ceremony," The two sisters cast each other glances of excitement before they walked to the front of the crowd, pressing against each other with excitement, "I, Honeystar, leader of SageClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn. Hazelpaw and Cloudpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your lives?" the two she-cats chimed in together with excitement, "I do!" Honeystar smiled at the two eager she-cats before continuing, "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names. Hazelpaw, from this moment you will be known as Hazelstripe. StarClan honors your courage and your initiative. Cloudpaw, from this moment you will be known as Cloudsplash. StarClan honors your intelligence and kindness." The two she-cats exchanged excited glances before the crowd started to cheer, "Hazelstripe! Cloudsplash! Hazelstripe! Cloudsplash!" Honeystar then leaped down from the highrock to arrange patrols and Minnowpaw and Duskfall raced over to congratulate their friends.

Carefully, a dark shadow slipped through camp, searching for what it was looking for. Silently, it arrived at the nursery, poking it's head in and looking around. It could not seem to find what it was looking for, though it did know of somewhere else it could try. Just as it was turning away, though, a small squeak could be heard. It turned around just in time to see a small, fluffy ball teeter out of the entrance and looked up at it.
"Who are you?" the fluff asked in a tired voice.
"None of your concern." the shadow said as it turned away, "Go back to your mother and go to sleep."
The kit stayed looking at the weird shadow for a moment before getting up and stretching. The shadow watched the little ball of fluff with wonder. Perhaps this was a smarter choice, after all, an older cat might not come so willingly.
"Actually, how would you like to come on a little adventure with me? I got something very neat to show you." the shadow said as it turned back to the kit.
"Really? What is it?" the kit asked in an interested tone.
"It is a secret, a very special secret that can only be shown, not spoken of." the shadow said as it led the way towards the entrance to camp.
The little kit hesitated a moment before following the shadow out of camp. Together, the two traveled to a seldom used part of the territory. The shadow cat led the kit to an open clearing that was mostly dirt. There were signs of many pawprints all over the place, and it was packed down better then the dirt in Jinxclan's camp. This place was obviously often used, and used by rather large animals.
"What are we doing here? It stinks here!" The little kit squeaked as it breathed in the stench of the place.
"This is where the secret is that I want to show you." the shadow said simply, "Go over there and look into that cave."
The little kit did as it was told, while the shadow slunk over to a tree and climbed up it. The little kit looked into the den and saw three large black masses sleeping in the shadows. The little kit did not know what they were, but the kit was scared. The kit backed away with a squeak and turned back to see where the other cat went. When the kit could not find it, Panic started to set in. The next thing that the kit knew there was a huge weight that fell on the kit and everything went dark; there was a slight twinge of pain before she felt nothing.
~THE NEXT DAY~
"She is gone!" sreech from camp awoke Jinxstar with a jolt, he got up and went running out into camp.
"Wispkit, oh, my precious kit, she is gone!" Mulberry yowled again as she came barreling out of the nursery.
Barkclaw followed her, calling to Ashleaf and Blackberry that Tanagerpelt was kitting, before going over to the distraught queen. Birchfeather came running over, sniffing all around the nursery to find the freshest scent. All he could smell was cats of Jinxclan, all of whom should be there. He could not smell anything out of place. He quickly went over to his mate and tried to comfort her.
Jinxstar quickly gathered three cats to go out and search for the missing kit, while he told the rest of the clan what they were to do. He trotted off quickly to the Moonpool, wanting to get a visit in before he came back to train Cranepaw. He was worried about the kit, knowing that he was the son of a most evil cat, but it seemed like he was turning out well so far.
"Starclan, please hear my cry!" Jinxstar called as he took his place at the waters edge, "I am asking that you send us a strong warrior to help protect our clan. It is obvious in these tough times that nothing is certain. Please, send us Wispkit back safe and sound. If the worst might happen, please welcome her into your paws and give her peace."

"I asked Ashenclaw if he could put us on the hunting patrol so everyone could see how your training has progressed and if you're ready for your ceremony. Most everyone is working on patching up the dens so the flooding doesn't reach many of them, especially the nursery, so it's going to be a small patrol. And guess who's coming...." she trailed off with a slight giggle, staring at him expectantly. Dewpaw narrowed his eyes a little in puzzlement. It was weird how happy she looked while she told him this. "Uh..." "Your mother." A slight chill ran down the white tom's spine. So that's what she was talking about.... "You remember what we rehearsed, right? You know the plan?" Dewpaw nodded, his flat expression revealing none of his inner turmoil. "Great! Oh, and it gets better. Webfang's coming, too. StarClan, luck is on our side!" Frigidrose whispered. Her expression was very similar to one of an excited kit when they get to leave the nursery for the first time. The apprentice gulped, his face remaining emotionless while his stomach began to churn as the realization came to him. Their plan was being put into action - today, now. It was frightening. "They should be here any moment - oh, yes, there you are!" Frigidrose called to the two approaching warriors. Snowstep was beaming with pride as she gazed at her son. "Oh StarClan, I can't believe it! You've grown up so fast.... How are you feeling, dear?" Dewpaw shrugged and stared at the ground, gnawing on the inside of his cheek. "Ah, nervous, I see. You'll be just fine, don't worry," she purred as she stepped forward to lick the top of his head. For once he didn't pull away in disgust. Noticing this, Snowstep tilted her head to the side a little. "Is something wrong?" Dewpaw shuffled his paws uncertainly, keeping his gaze toward the ground in front of his paws. His voice came out in a tiny whisper as he raised his head to look her in the eye for just a moment, "Mom..." It sounded like a whimper. Out of the corner of his eye, he found Frigidrose shooting him a cold, hard stare. Quickly, he lowered his gaze, stuttering quietly, "N-nev-v-ver mi-mind." "Alright," Frigidrose meowed quite loudly, "Let's get going, shall we?"

"We should try another way. There isn't going to be any prey near this rushing water," Webfang suggested. Frigidrose shook her head. "Oh no, this is perfect. They will all be trying to get a little drink and will be too focused on not falling in, so it would be easier to catch them this way." The dark tabby warrior narrowed his eyes. "I've never heard of that. It's too risky. One of us might fall in if we aren't careful." "It will be fine," Dewpaw spoke up. "We're all skilled hunters. We won't fall in." Webfang sighed and shook his head a little, "Alright, if you say so." Frigidrose motioned to him with her tail and mewed, "Webfang, why don't we try a little farther up the river while Dewpaw and Snowstep stay here?" Webfang agreed and followed her about four monster-lengths away from the other two. "Do you see anything? Smell anything?" Snowstep asked her son. He shook his head. "Not yet. Let's get closer to the water and have a look around." "Be careful, okay?" Dewpaw nodded as he began to step toward the swollen river. It was quite a sight, and the roar of it was almost deafening. He came to a halt just a few mouse-lengths away from it, shaking the droplets of water from the spray out of his pelt. When Snowstep came up beside him, he threw Frigidrose a glance, asking if the time was right. She held up her tail, signaling to wait a bit. "It's so beautiful, isn't it?" Snowstep mewed, watching the foamy water rush past them. "And yet it's so deadly." Dewpaw remained silent, going over his training sessions in his head, preparing for what he was about to do. "I'm so glad I got to come with you on your assessment. You're going to be such an amazing warrior. I'm proud to call you my son." The apprentice's breath caught in his throat. He stared at the water with wide eyes. How could he do such a thing? How could he do it to his own mother? He just had to do it - now, before he convinced himself otherwise. Unthinking, fighting tears, he lunged at Snowstep. The force of his body slamming into hers knocked her off balance and tumbling into the river. Dewpaw struggled to regain his own balance and hurry away from the water's edge, running to a nearby tree and collapsing against it. He held his paws tight over his ears to drown out his mother's screams for help. When at last only the rushing of the water could be heard, the young tom fought back the coming sob. His throat tightened and his breaths came in gasps. He would not let himself cry. He had proven his loyalty to Frigidrose, but a sobbing mess afterwards would make her think him weak. Then another splash, farther away, sounded. Dewpaw threw a glance toward the area where Frigidrose and Webfang had been standing. Webfang was gone, and Frigidrose was trotting toward her apprentice. "Good," she meowed. "You have earned my trust, Dewpaw. But next time wait for my signal."
-----------------------------------------------
Ashenclaw's ears flattened against the back of his head as a wail sounded from the leader's den. Frigidrose and Dewpaw had returned, but Webfang and Snowstep hadn't. They had been 'lost to the floods.' But the other two were completely fine. Ashenclaw knew that something was up. Frigidrose, the Clan-mate all the newcomers had once been warned about, the one who was known to cause trouble, and her apprentice had arrived at camp unscathed. If they had been trying to help their Clan-mates out of the river - however impossible some may deem the idea - their pelts would have been soaked and smeared with mud. They would be breathing hard. Instead they looked just the way they had when they left the camp, but most everyone was too grief-stricken to notice. The gray tabby tom padded quickly to Emberstar's den. Frigidrose was sitting next to the leader with her tail wrapped around her. When Ashenclaw entered, her head jerked up in surprise and she gave him a hard stare. The deputy ignored this and sat down on the opposite side of the den. "Emberstar, is there anything I can do for you?" he meowed calmly. He was met with trembling sobs. Frigidrose advised, "It would be best for you to leave. She's still in shock, and having multiple cats around would likely overwhelm her." Ashenclaw nodded but paid no attention to what she said. "Emberstar, might I suggest a possible cause of your mate's death?" Frigidrose glared at him and hissed, "He slipped into the water. There was nothing I could do." Emberstar nodded her agreement. Ashenclaw sighed, pausing a moment to gather his thoughts. "I believe that may not be correct." Finally Emberstar looked up at him. The fur on her face was damp with her tears and her eyes were glossy. "Wh-what do you mean?" she choked out, her voice a hoarse whisper. "Nothing, Emberstar, nothing - don't pay any attention to him," Frigidrose quickly intervened, shooting an icy glare at Ashenclaw. He ignored it and answered the leader, "I apologize for my bluntness, but I believe it may be a murder. Same for Snowstep." Emberstar gasped and Frigidrose leapt to her feet. "GET OUT!" she shrieked. "I cannot leave, I am waiting for my leader's response." "I said -" "Ashenclaw..." Emberstar interrupted. "How... how could you suggest such a thing? Frigidrose would never do that." There was a long, drawn-out silence before the deputy spoke again, "I must insist." Emberstar shook her head slowly, gaze glued to the ground. "No... no! She never would! I can't believe you're saying this!" she hissed. "Emberstar -" "No! No! I don't understand how you could think such of your own Clan-mate! Soon enough you'll be splitting the Clan apart, and my life's work will be destroyed! You - you cannot be my deputy any longer - you can't!" Ashenclaw was taken aback by this. Was she serious? Had Frigidrose really twisted her mind this much? "Yes, that's what I must do. Ashenclaw, you will no longer be my deputy. Frigidrose will take your place." The tom stood there, gaping, while the gray she-cat allowed a broad smile to creep onto her face. "Emberstar, thank you. I would be honored to be your deputy."
------------------------------------------------
"Sootkit, do you have to go sleep in that other den when you're an apprentice? Why can't you stay here?" Lightkit whined as he began to chase his brother's tail. "Because I'll be an apprentice, silly," Sootkit sighed. "Apprentices sleep in the apprentices' den, kits sleep in the nursery." "But can't this be an exception? I don't want you to go until we all can go!" Daisyskip chuckled at Lightkit's complaints, "Don't worry, Lightkit. It won't be so long before you and Tawnykit are apprentices, too. Sootkit might have to wait a little longer anyways..." she trailed off as she thought of Emberstar and what she was going through. "Poor Emberstar probably isn't feeling well enough to do his ceremony." Lightkit gasped, a bright smile instantly replacing the frown he had a moment ago. "Really?! Yay!" "Lightkit! That isn't something to be happy about!" Tawnykit giggled, "Lightkit, you're hilarious!" The giggles were quickly interrupted when Isidora came trotting into the nursery. On her face she wore something that could be described as a sad smile. "I just checked with Frigidrose - she said the ceremonies will begin shortly." Daisyskip narrowed her eyes in puzzlement. Wouldn't that have been Ashenclaw's task? - to speak with the leader about matters such as ceremonies and then deliver the news to the Clan? An ordinary warrior wouldn't be doing that. Why was Frigidrose? However, the queen decided not to question it and began to frantically clean Sootkit's pelt.

"Mom! What happened? Are you okay?!" Heatherpond cried as she ran to her mother, who was returning from a stroll out in the forest. It was the day after the incident, and she had decided to go for a little walk because it would help her to calm down. But it looked as though it had been anything but calming. The leader had clearly been attacked by something. She was struggling to get herself into the camp and she looked utterly exhausted. "Badgers," she breathed. "Four. Not far." Heatherpond, Willowcloud, and Dustfall helped her to the medicine den where she collapsed onto a bed of moss. "She'll sleep for a while," Willowcloud mewed as the three stood there watching their leader, all wishing to do everything they could to help her, but it was in StarClan's paws. "Badgers couldn't have ripped away as many lives as she has left. Hopefully she lost only one, but it could be up to three, I guess." "Is there anything you can do for her?" Heatherpond whimpered. The medicine cat shook her head. "StarClan is taking good care of her, don't worry. She will be healed in no time." "What happened?" All three heads turned at Frigidrose's voice. "She said it was a badger - no, four badgers, sorry. They're near the camp," the young warrior mewed. Frigidrose stiffened, recalling her son's death. "She's alright?" she asked, stepping forward to take a look at the leader. "Just fine. StarClan is healing her." Frigidrose sat back on her haunches, her gaze never leaving Emberstar, and remained silent for a little while before speaking again, "I'm going to get a patrol together. We're going to drive these badgers out once and for all." They had no idea, however, that the new deputy didn't plan to merely drive the badgers out of the territory, but drive them into a certain couple of camps.

Welcome to MoonClan.
The clan of wit,
The clan of speed
The clan intelligence.
The clan that never speaks under a new moon.
The clan of caves and towering pine-trees.
Welcome to MoonClan
MoonClan has a reputation for respect. Those who respect them will earn the clans respect in return. Along with respectful, the cats are just. They will never condescend, believe one is higher or lower than one's self and are sometimes unmerciful in punishment. Mercy is not shown in MoonClan, only chances of redemption.
But all of the harshness of justice don't amount to the close bond each of the cats have.
From birth, a cat is already allowed to go make friends, instead of staying in the nursery. MoonClan teaches young kits the ways of the clan, in the form of riddles, fables, story's, games and involvement in smaller ceremonies.
Moonclan resides below a tall cliff, one with small caves used for dens. About ten feet up, there is a jutted out peice of the cliff, wide enough for 3 cats to squeeze together. This is the High ledge, a meeting place for ceremonies. Apprentice ceremonies take place in the shade of the High-Ledge.
The hunting is in a forest mainly consisting of Ash wood, Basswood and Oak trees. There is a large stream to the north east, not a long walk away from the camp. There are no thunder paths in the territory. South east, the stream leads into an unclaimed lake, the walk is so far from the camp, no one cares for the journey, unless the prey is running low and MoonClan must resort to fishing. There is a small pond in the North part of the territory where cats learn to swim, and occasionally fish.
The Bodies of MoonClan are too varied to place your thumb over. But all MoonClan cats have sharp claws, and the fur colors tend to stray to the lighter side of the scale, an adaptation for the harsh snows that freezes MoonClan almost every Leaf bare
A Fable told throughout MoonClan
One cat said to their mother
"mother, today is not a good day" The mother asked "why?"
the cat said "because my brother asked for the rabbit I had caught, and I said no, because I love rabbit, and wanted to eat it myself.
now my brother will not talk to me. what should I do?" The mother said "you have eaten your rabbit in extange for your brothers friendship. Now what would you rather, your rabbit or your brother?" The cat answered "my brother" and the mother said "Yes, and now you must go earn your friendship, because the more you give, the more you get in return𝑖𝑠 𝑤𝘩𝑎𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝘨𝑒𝑡
