Damon looked at her worriedly, he sighed softly as he held her hand, "I was walking to James' new office and someone walked by and I tripped." he said softly as he held her hand.

"Hm..." Molly said looking at her stomach as she thought. She then looked up at him. "Are you sure that the person did not trip you? It is weird that you would just trip like that. You never fall." She said to him.

Damon looked at her, "Why would someone trip me?" he asked as he looked over at her, he took her hand gently and rubbed it, he looked over as the doctor came out to talk to them.

"I don't know...It was just a thought." Molly said and shrugged. She looked over at the doctor and was really hoping for some good news. It would be hard for them to afford surgery for him but she would do anything for him to be okay again.

The doctor looked at the pair, "I would strongly advise surgery, with how the break is, but it could heal fine without surgery, but it would take much longer, and could need surgery later down the road, with a longer heal time." he said softly as he looked at them.

Molly looked over at Damon. "I honestly think you should just get the surgery now. It is a lot easier on us now and later with a longer healing time and two kids, it would be even harder on both of us." She said looking at him. She hated that he needed surgery because so many things could go wrong and she needed him.

Damon looked at her, "What happens with the surgery?" he asked the doctor, he knew the expense of the surgery would be bad, he wasn't even sure if he had health insurance at his job. "Well, we will pretty much use a method to tie your kneecap together and then you will have to stay off it for about a month, crutches only." he said as he looked at Damon.

Molly sighed. This was a mess. She was so overwhelmed that she felt like crying but she avoided it. She was not sure what to say and knew that it would be hard to afford but she would just try to find another job to help out as much as she could. She was honestly not sure what else to do. He could not work two jobs being on crutches. It would be hard enough to work one. She looked at Damon to see what he was thinking.

Damon looked at her, he looked stressed and scared, "He said it could heal fine without surgery..." he said softly as he looked at her. He was so overwhelmed and upset, and he didn't know how they were going to do this.

"Yes but keep in mind that it will take longer to heal and it may require surgery later. But it is up to you." Molly said rubbing the back of his hand trying to comfort him even though she was terrified.
