Dante's expressionless face returned and he walked over to stand above Anna, "Then why did you break up with me?" he asked her and knelt down beside her.

"You brought it on, Dante." Anna lifted her watery red eyes so she could see him. "You said that you couldn't control yourself because from time to time I would be human. I did what was best for you, I left you so we both wouldn't get killed!" Anna already knew that if Dante ended up killing her while she was human he would kill himself.

Dante sighed and stroked her cheek, "I know...my mind had accepted that fact, but my heart couldn't." he said and moved over to sit close beside her. He held her chin and moved it over so she could face him, "But if I did let that happen, I'd kill myself with you in my arms."

Anna's eyes momentarily flickered to hazel because of Dante's closeness. Her skin even went darker for a few seconds before everything went back to normal, "Can you control yourself? At all?" She really just wanted to get the purification process over with.

Dante closed his eyes for a second and took a deep breath. He opened his eyes and looked up at Anna, "Yes." he answered and smiled at her with his long fangs exposed.

Anna returned the smile, exposing her much smaller fangs. They might have been small but she was dangerous. She was stronger than the normal male vampire, but she didn't look like. To most people it looked as if when you touched Anna she would break in half.

Dante wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. He rested his forehead against the top of her head and took in her sweet, captivating scent.

Anna curled up next to him while he was still holding her, "I love you," She smiled gently while looking up into his eyes for a moment. She wasn't lying when she said it, and she truly meant it.

"Good," Anna smiled, quite satisfied with his answer. "Maybe we should be getting back?" She asked as she got up very slowly.
